Not many plot holes left now

Let's hope two or three of those last four are new games.

There is nothing disappointing about Dragon Age Inquisition, that's for sure.

Hope it wins, because it deserves.

I said the candidates are overall disappointing. And no need to hope that it will win, because it will win. All other games don't stand a chance. It's just ridiculous.

Wasn't Dark Souls 2 also critically acclaimed? I think its between those two tbh.

But I also agree that it is a somewhat disappoint list overall.

There's only 3-4 of those I'm looking forward to. Yet I'll watch this live at 3 at night. Metal Gear Online and a MGSV release date will be worth it.

I'm going with the dark horse Bayonetta 2 for GOTY!

Please don't be Mordor, please don't be Mordor. It's going to be Mordor, damn it.

So you guys think there will be a new Telltale games being announced? I think so

Unless it's first led by the announcement that they're expanding their studio or getting bought up, no point. They're already early in their two game cycle. By the time they're reading to announce TWD S3 there'll have been a better time to make the actual reveal.

Dark Souls 2 also doesn't stand a chance. Dark Souls was too rush made. It is a poor game. Dark Souls 1 is 100x better than that crap.

The only thing that would come a bit close is Bayonetta 2. But it won't even win because it's only on Wii.

im really rooting for Geoff! this awards show sounds great. i like all the nominees for each category and the show seems to have really streamlined its content. also that trophy looks so dope; very cool inspiration for why it looks the way it does.

that being said, im sick and staying home tonight so i plan on playing a drinking game while watching this.

im taking a drink everytime Geoff or another host says "exclusive, premier, gamer and or gamers". i will likely be drunk 5 minutes in lol.

im looking forward to the show !

EDIT: ive been hella busy this year and only recently got an 8th gen console (xbox one), so its hard for me to comment on what game should win GOTY, but since i started Shadow of Mordor i really dig it, so thats my vote. and for best remaster id love to say Halo MCC but that game shit the bed on arrival, so i hope The Last of Us remaster wins

Well it is beginning or end. I'm hoping the end one is huge, but something for every platform to get as many people pumped as possible

Hope Pikachu makes an appearance :p

A Pikachu enters the stage. Geoff, looking pale and sweating a lot, asks. "Who is that Pokemon?". The Pikachu stops. It stares into Geoff soul for a minute before putting its hands on its head. The head comes off and Reggie is there. The look on Keighley's face is of both relief and confusion, just as Reggie says "Remember Me?". Cranky Kong confirmed for MK8.

Well they revealed Tales from Borderlands and GoT at last year's VGX. At that point Wolves among us and TWD S2 weren't finished either.

For those like me wanting to watch on Xbox One and don't have the tile (in the UK), click the Twitch link in the OP, sign in and follow the channel, then you can just view it on the Twitch app under Following.

Hoping to see some cool stuff tonight, not being on TV makes me doubt we'll something really big but I'd love to be proven wrong.

Pulling for Valiant Hearts to win a category as well!

Argh! Wish I was home to watch this, out and about in this cold. I'll be monitoring closely, definitely going to enjoy the slew of new trailers that start surfacing. Good job Geoff! This is going to be great!

GTA has FPS mode...I think it wins for that.
Out of the 5 games, GTAV turned out the best, sure. But in spirit a "remaster" should be a game ~10+ years old that is brought up to modern standards. GTAV on PC/PS4/Xbone isn't remade, it's using the high quality assets they made originally and then adding some DLC and bonus content. They did a great job, I'm just criticizing the category.

You can not have a sports game of the year award and not have "THE GOLF CLUB" not included. It is by far the best sports game this year, and I have played them all except for the Soccer games.

I'll wait to see if this is another Geoff Keighley smoke and mirror hype special... if not and we do get some interesting reveals (let's face it, most of us watching for the promise of some world premier new footage and new announcements) then I do wish him the best.

Souls series was one of my favorite but I hope DS2 doesn't win. It is not as as the first

That is not what really is in question though, for many games the sequels are not as liked as the original; Souls series is just another one of those. Is it the best game of 2014 though?

While I haven't played it yet myself, the lack of Tropical Freeze is sad. I've heard nothing but praise for that game this whole year. Isn't it one of the best rated still?
