This is way, way better than the terrible SpikeTV video game awards so far.

It is definitely way better than Spike's, a much bigger improvement. I'm watching for the actual awards, but they don't seem to be the focus.

This is pretty much as crappy a show as the VGAs were.

Horrible sound mixing, weird camera views, horrible and lame music performances, extremely boring and weak "World Premieres", lack of awards being given out and letting the winner get on stage to give a short speech. "Hey, you won this category, here's your trophy [over here away from the stage]." Just a step above giving the award to the winners walking into the building at the VGAs.

Haha I partially agree. I want something more refined to take games a bit more seriously, without having the constant advertisements and gamer pandering.
