I took a risk and imported a PS4 this early in its life.

While I was regretting a bit, getting the platform this early because i felt that i will miss out lots of ps3 , and great indies on PC, , gamescon , tgs and psx has at least shown me that i will get most of the late ps3 games on PS4 , good indies from PC on PS4 and a great flow of games in 2015.

The good thing of Sony is that they are aware which are the hot games going around on PC , which games people do want ported from PS3 to PS4

The fact that sony cant even showing there E3 games on gamescon, their gamescon games on PSX, it shows.

The only i would love to see some more exclusive but it doesnt matter since i dont have another platform and laptop is more then enough to play low end games on steam

I still feel it is a bit of a "promise box", and over a year since I bought one... that's a bit sad. Many good games on it... few of them are in my wheelhouse.

But I do think, with the whole momentum of PS4's success... it will be the place to be this generation. It's just that the generation itself has taken a lot of time to really pick up steam.

Oh yes.

Although I'm slightly disappointed that we didn't see a Gigaton, I'm very very happy that we finally got Yakuza 5, not to mention the other fantastic games.

Generally - very. 2015 is stacked with AAA, and nice side dishes like the PS4 RE Remaster for a lowish price and Grim Fandango next month keep me smiling.

Sure they done goofed in terms of announcing it front and centre but even the FFVII port is nice for me not having played it in years - the hyperbolic angst on GAF at the moment for Square is very OTT.

I would like publishers to get more in gear with porting stuff existing on PSN to PS4. I appreciate it's not easy, but I was 360 only last gen so would like to get the chance to play MGS4 et al without having to opt for a streaming solution via PSNow.

Lots of very nice and interesting looking games announced
So yes

Still not enough Jpn games, jrpg in particular
So no

That puts me in neutral with a yes tilt

I'm .... satisfied with the games coming out. The only game that would make me genuinely excited would be a new Bloody Roar game.

Yep, extremely happy. 2014 didn't give me a lot of reasons to turn on the PS4, because what I want from it is games I can't get on PC, where I'd rather buy them. Games like Ys, Bloodborne and Persona 5 make me excited for the coming year(s).

The games released thus far have blown me away far more than in any other launch period. I think my sentiment comes from the fact that I don't put much stock in whether a title is 'next gen', indie, AAA, or console exclusive. Games from Transistor to Dragon Age are experiences I identify with the box because that's where I first saw them and where I ultimately played them. I have a bajilion more great games in my new system library in one year than I've ever collected this early in a gen, and many of them have left lasting impressions and memories.

I'm supremely happy with the first year and based on what we've seen for the future, it's only going to get better. Way better.

I'm not sure where I'll find the time to play, though...

Yes 100%.

A nice spread across most of my favorite genres as well.

If we're talking exclusives, not really. Hopefully Uncharted isn't the only thing Sony has past February.

Do you live in a world where yesterdays conference didn't exist?

I'll say that its far better than PS3's first year :P

But what i'm really looking forward to, is 2015....so many games coming out i dont even know what to do

PS4 is the only current gen console i own and the one that is still plugged in. And.... not really no. At least not in terms of exclusives. I don't think i own a single exclusive for the PS4 so far.

edit: just looked at my trophy list, and Killzone is the only exclusive i have played on my PS4, and it was "free" from JP PS+.

Yep!! Really happy. Played and completed more games than ever this year and next year looks insane. Can't get everything I want already!! Had a very expensive last month with dragon age, gta5 and wwe and thought I wouldn't be getting anything till the order dropped but damn!! I did hear at the keynote that grim fandango hits on 27th jan right?

Gonna be an awesome gaming year for sure

So far so good. There's still more to come so I'm definitely staying positive.

Also, we will see The Last Guardian on the PS4..... I just know it.

Happy! Although I wish more games would make it to Japan. Japan is really missing out so far. I can't believe for the first time ever, I'm jealous of western audiences.

Yeah, very pleased. But I primarily play third party games anyway.

There are more games coming out next year that I'm interested in than I'll have time to play, which is a promising scenario.

Yep, although I'm not interested in Drawn to Death in any way and am eager to find out about GT7.

There's still nothing compelling for me on, or coming to the Xbone so I'm good.

Edit: I am actually jonesing for some Nintendo magic at the moment and was debating Wii U or NN3DS and have gone for the 3DS, so there's that.

Yeah, I think so. It took a long part of the year to really kick off, but PS4 is currently fun now with more good games on the way, including some titles that I am really looking forward to. I think there is a nice variety of games on the way.

Its a good time for fighting game fans. I didn't buy Injustice at launch so I grabbed that when it went up on PS+. The next day I bought GGXRD from the Hong Kong store, the following day we had the SFV news leak and yesterday Ultra was confirmed. I'm really happy with all of this.

What make me surprise most is Darkest Dungeon coming to PS4.

It is unexpected. I am surprise that Sony notices a small indy game that people barely know it.

What were these PS4 exclusives announced yesterday that I won't be playing on my PC?

I dunno... Bloodbourne? Rime? Ratchet? Tearaway? Until dawn? If any take your fancy of course.

You might have wanted to put the pc disclaimer in your original post rather than make such a sweeping statement.

Bloodborne, Rime, Tearaway, Until Dawn, were announced yesterday ? Next you were goign to tell me Uncharted 4 was announced yesterday too!

I'm pretty happy with it. To be honest, apart from Sunset Overdrive (and formerly Halo MCC before the issues) the Xbox One's library wasn't really doing much for me, but I thought Sony's lineup had more games that I might find interesting. I wasn't wrong, I loved The Last of Us, enjoyed inFamous First Light (still need to get Second Son), as well as numerous indies. I'm really looking forward to LittleBigPlanet 3 and 2015 too.

What were these PS4 exclusives announced yesterday that I won't be playing on my PC? Do you actually have a point?

Bloodborne in March. Until Dawn in the summer. Tearaway is coming, too. We have Ratchet & Clank to look forward to. On the digital front, we're expecting Rime, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, the Tomorrow Children, Kill Strain, Alienation, and the first place to play No Mans Sky.

You stressed the word yesterday in that comment, though your original one was:

If we're talking exclusives, not really. Hopefully Uncharted isn't the only thing Sony has past February.

Whether or not it was announced yesterday doesn't matter at all based on what you originally said.

Until Dawn, Tearaway, Bloodborne, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Rime, The Order: 1886 (will wait on the reviews), Fat Princess and SFV is all games that i am getting next year. I have always been happy with Playstation, they keep on delivering great titles. This year was maybe the slimmest list of exclusives, but i am very positive seeing all the games that are already announced and all the studios that are waiting to show their games.
