Already sold out and they aren't even officially out everywhere yet. Glad I preordered too. What region are you in?

All of Wave 2 officially released today in Australia.

From what I've been told by store staff, Little Mac is the 'one per box' character this time.

Honestly planned on purchasing every amiibo, but once I can't get my hands on a certain figure I feel like I have no reason to keep buying them. I'm not going to spend extra to get rare figures. I love you Nintendo but you kinda fucked this up.

took some better pics now that I opened it (the stand looks extra noticeable due to the light reflecting off it and the camera being exposed properly only for Falcon):

Little Mac is beyond harder to find then marth, I actually haven't even seen it i know the guy at ebgames here in Mississauga (canada) said they just had 1 and only 3 villagers and one diddy coming in

I hope for all figures going forward they use a plain clear plastic for any supports.

This is why preorders are so important for these things. Hows the Diddy situation looking like for Toronto? I sorta want one.

Just went all over town to in Australia to find Pit. This seems like such a mess. Most places said they sold out of all wave 2 as soon as they opened and had gotten very little stock. Made the mistake of asking one store for Toon Link and Rosalina which don't come out until February I got mixed up in which ones came out today. Anyway found Pit out on the shelf at an EB Games pretty far out of the city. Most shelves were bare other than Mario and Pikachu.

Just got an email from toys rus, says ill receive little mac and diddy between 1222 and 12/26. Ill take it. I preordered back on november 30th (im in usa btw)

Here's my collection thus far

I'm kinda surprised by how small Little Mac is, especially compared to Kirby and Villager

Damn. I've only seen two in stores; one of which I bought.

I'm going to preorder rare ones next time.

Quick check in regarding possible upcoming UK rarities:
Nintendo UK sotore has sold out of Little Mac, Shulk, Meta Knight and Dedede

Amazon has sold out of: Captain Falcon, Luigi, Little Mac, Zelda

Both Are out of WFT, Villager Marth and Yoshi. Nintendo store has gotten Kirby back in stock after previously being sold out so could also get the current sold out ones back too.

One of the weirder things Amiibo has shown is that the UK appears to fucking love Kirby (and Yoshi for some reason). Either that or we got a smaller amount of Kirby characters and Yoshis.

Same here, but they didn't give me a date. I don't think they've shipped yet for me, still processing, so that's probably why.

For those looking in the GTA Canada area, it wasn't very difficult to find the new ones. I went to one store that had only received a single Mac, but the clerk mentioned that the other local store had received a bunch. Called over there and put one of each on hold for me.

Zelda is definitely the most common. All stores seem to have unlimited supply. Diddy and Mac were shorted, but anyone looking Wednesday or Thursday should have been able to get one with little effort.

Had a great day today and got Zelda at toys r us and some guy on Craigslist sold me two Villagers for $30 which is better than ebay's $60ish. I reserved Mac so I'm not worried about finding him in the wild.

I love that these figurines are going to put various Nintendo franchises back in the public (new generation?) eye. Hell, this badass Little Mac amiibo makes me want to replay Super Punch Out.

No luck here as a southern Californian. Maybe tomorrow but we'll see. My TRU had tons of everything else except for the obvious three (wft, killager, marth.)

Okay, now I really need this worthless piece of plastic. It'd have been nice to have that realisation before they disappeared off the face of the earth...

Does anyone want me to post some pictures of Pit? I was about to but I'm feeling pretty lazy. If some says that want some that'll motivate me. For what it worth I actually saw some Little Mac Amiibos on the shelf. If he's rare at least he's not popular. Still they probably won't last another day anyway.

I'd imagine a good way to both print money and satisfy demand would be to have limited runs for all characters, but constantly reissue with new colors. That way the originals still feel exclusive and you get that buzz, you get the crazy collectors getting every single figure, and you can still sell through to normal consumers who just want Villager or whatever.

Just came back from the shops and got the last pit, I had to search in so many shops just to find him. Little Mac and Diddy were all sold out and there was only 1 pit (which I took) and falcon and tons of zelda and luigi.

My god, why is Nintendo releasing so few amiibos of certain characters? To think that they're selling out this fast is ridiculous. Ship out a higher number!! With how sought after they are, I think they can afford to.

Also, are the new amiibos out now in America too?

it seems that N sold around 700k amiibos in the US, with 200k expected within end of month in France.
curious to see possible Japanese numbers

Yeah, I can't seem to find a place to pre-order Little Mac and he's not out in the UK until next friday...

Went into my game store today. Walked into intending to buy WFT, instead walked out with the ACIV collector's edition. Whoops. The WFT is still there and I don't think it'll disappear anytime soon.

Interestingly they received no Wave 2 stock at all but it's a pretty backwater EB that does zero Nintendo business so I'm not surprised. I managed to score a GC adapter without pre-order there a while back. Also Little Mac and Captain Falcon are already sold out and discontinued at a few major retailers. An Xmas present Pit I pre-order shipped successfully though. It seems in Australia and New Zealand if you want to guarantee anything other than a major character - Pikachu, Mario - you need to pre-order.

Holy...that is ridiculous. They've been out for less than a day and already discontinued!?!

Ok guys, I'll be up tomorrow early and there better be at least 2 little mac's waiting for me there or I'll KO Punch somebody.

Goodnight, if you are in the East Coast of USA please let us know if you find something in the morning.

JB Hifi Australia has pulled almost all Amiibo, JB NZ is missing a few, Mighty Ape only has two Captain Falcon yet - if you're ANZ and want him order NOW - while Little Mac and Pit are no longer for sale. EB has removed Marth and Villager from sale and saying Diddy, LM, CF and Pit are in-store only.

edit as soon as I posted this I refreshed the Mighty Ape page and Captain Falcon was completely gone. Within the space of a minute. Hopefully they learn their lesson with Wave 3, this is ridiculous under stocking.

Undecided if that's good or bad yet. That's an average of 1 per Smash player, but considering the amount who bought all 12...

Don't know if this has been mentioned in the thread yet but Toys R Us tweeted that the Lucario amiibo might open up for more pre-orders this week, so keep your eyes open. Also, does anyone know when Target will put up their listing for Rosalina? These are the last two Wave 3 pre-orders I need.

plus, ou that's good or bad yet. That's an average of 1 per Smash player, but considering the amount who bought all12...

it doesn matteq who bought, they sold. the figures are also structured to sell to collectors, without a specific game, bundle, starter pack. btw, the french number is a good number considering the action figure segment over there, while the US is good if it is referred to novenaer only as I think

Hard to determine too, since there's plenty were sold to people that are just simply Nintendo fans, and probably don't even own a WiiU.

Pretty good for a lineup of cheap figures that have almost no use in games as of right now.

I just got the last Samus one at my Walmart after hearing about it getting discontinued. Dunno if I wanna actually open it or not, I don't think I'll have any use for it other than chillin on my desk lookin boss.

What import sites still have stock for the Villager amiibo?

I grabbed one from Play Asia, but I want some more choices in case my order gets cancelled.

Wait, the Wave 2 Amiibo have already been released? Is that only limited to the United States, or is this true for Canadian retailers as well?

True enough. Guess I was hoping for more, still that is a good number. At least 1m worldwide in 10 days. Not too shabby. I imagine a lot of toy lines never reach that, let alone in a fortnight

Seems like it has in some places. The discontinuation and low stock is one thing but combine that with an iffy release window and it really just makes these harder to get then they should be.

Get the kirby one, he's good for the heart. I have two of them, one under each monitor at work, and it brings a smile to everyone down the in the lab. :D

yes, I work for toy company and I confirm that. I also thinj that their main goal is to increase revenues and shelf impact. until a true nfc game, and a real 3ds game, is announced I thinj that reaching a broader market will be impossible
