Resident Evil HD Remaster confirmed for PS3/PS4/360/XB1/PC

Zero was done after REmake and was done by mostly the same team. One of the best things about Zero honestly is how it looks. I think it'd be harder overall than REmake though, as a lot of the backgrounds in Zero are animated, more-so than REmake.

I'm trying to imagine how they'd handle areas such as the train (which has a lot of details such as objects rattling and lights going by), the waterfall passage, the underground sacrifice room, etc.

There's very little overlap between the two games. Which makes sense considering there isn't much similar between the two games aside from graphics.

I'm surprised to see Kamiya credited for "Original Game Design." I guess he worked on N64 version?

It's a game I call "posting on the internet forums while being high on pain meds."
Also sometimes called "posting on the internet forums while being very very tired."

I noticed what I wrote afterwards but since cvxfreak had already quoted one of the posts, I didn't bother to edit them. Until now.

RIP in Peace

The teams were almost completely different. On top of that, BIO0 wasn't actually developed by CAPCOM, it was developed by TOSE.

Depending on who you listen to, Kamiya was either the original director or simply helped with the initial design of the game.

Probably confirmed earlier in this thread, but here are the language options on my physical Japanese edition:

You might not be able to tell from the pic, but 'Display language' is actually Multi5... bit of a surprise.

Does Capcom really hates money?

Why the hell they wouldn't release the same CE for the PS4 version US release?

I feel so upset now -.-"

Capcom is an absolute enigma when it comes to these types of releases. They passed over Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (which had a boxed voucher edition), Okami HD, Revival Selection (Code Veronica & RE4), and Strider Hiryu in the U.S. retail department, but DuckTales: Remastered was the strange exception? As a physical edition collector, I really hope they'll cave and release a retail variant for the PS4 in the coming months; however, the PS3 features full English support so it isn't a completely alienating scenario for gamers.

Waiting on mine in the UK (economy postage). Posting from HK at this time of year could take at least 2 weeks so not panicking yet!

I seem to remember RE0 being kinda ho-hum. Nothing blew my top with it the way 1, 2, or 3 did.

0 was so shit.

I was so hyped for it too the story before the mansion takes place....in another mansuon that's when the series started to just suck for me until 4 came:

I guess it'll be interesting to see how RE0 turns out, lets hope they do add the magic box back at least in the form of a remix mode. It certainly doesn't help either that the game is probably the most stingiest with ammo.

Did I miss something? Is it being remade?

I don't know, it's a mystery?

Given how well RE games are selling it sure is, even ORC sold gangbusters including in Japan. Also besides RE2 and 3, it'll mean every mainline game is now available in a modern form which also might mean a compilation.

Why would anyone want a 0 HD port?

Gross.

Because then more people could see why was the game bad :P

But on a serious note, while I'm not a huge fan of Zero, I would still want them to make RE0 HD just so you could play the game on platforms other than Nintendo's. It would also be nice to have all main RE games on PC (because one day Capcom will release CODE: Veronica on PC... they have to).

0 zero isn't as good as the remake and I don't like the retcon stuff, but at least it is a Resident Evil game.
RE4 isn't.

And if the port 0, they have to add coop.

I could wait for the PS4 version but that's a month away, so I just ordered a copy from Play Asia.

Another inevitable double dip for my favourite game series. <_<

Should arrive tomorrow via courier. :D

I really don't believe that ps3 and 360 are not capable of running a GC game at 1080p. Especially a game with prerendered backgrounds. Is there a reasonable explenation for the low res?

They have miniscule ram, and it's a multi platform release that judging by the expedient nature of the background "remastering" they probably didn't spend any time to really push performance on systems that aren't the target focus anymore.

Just checking: I find two versions of the PS3 version. Asian and Japanese. Where's the different? Please tell me that one of them has its manual in english...

Still no chance at a retail disc for PS3 version? I haven't bought RE 4 HD because its digital only. Bluray discs have to be so cheap to make these days.
