And people worry about Best Buy...
Thats pretty shitty.
Guys, for anyone that has Japanese and American amiibos, is there a difference at the bottom of the Amiibos? I'm seriously considering importing Marth, Villager and Wii Fit Trainer from Japan, and want to know of there is any difference between them besides packaging. I'm gonna open them up so I'm not concerned about the package.
Pictures would be appreciated. Thanks!
Outside of Link, Captain falcon is my most wanted amiibo. Like... to actually use and play with.
Amazon and Nintendo don't have a great relationship. So if any retailer is going to get the short end of the stick from Ninty it would be Amazon.Add me to the list of people who actually wanted to use Captain Falcon and pre-ordered from Amazon the day they were available and still got that stupid email. I have a feeling this is all Nintendo's fault. They have always had issues with ambiguous release dates, weird shipments, and not playing nice with retailers. Unfortunately we as the consumers are the ones getting screwed.

I'm not necessarily freaking out that I'm not gonna get what I ordered. But, it would be nice if Nintendo would get its shit together with regards to retailers. It is their ambiguous release dates and responses to supply questions that causes the "run on the bank" when it comes to these new releases. I ordered Captain Toad from Amazon and got a similar email saying they didn't know what was going on...then it shipped the next day. It just seems like a trend that creates this release confusion.Relax, I'm sure amazon will come through with the rest of wave 2. They just have to send that email because of the delay. They didn't have dates for Mac, Zelda, and Diddy and once everyone started getting them in stock amazon shipped them out too. Once Captain Falcon and the other start showing up in more stores I'm sure amazon will get their stock too. Just make sure to approve the delay so your order isn't canceled.
Looks like Amazon isn't carrying most wave 1 now I can't believe Mario sold out lol
Thanks! I do have a Link at home, he's my favorite character. Just eyeballing it though, it literally looks the same as the American version. Maybe that white model number might be slightly different but I doubt. Here is the bottom of my jp Link. Don't have any American ones to compare it to though
Is there anywhere online in the US I can order one or two amiibo and get free shipping? I figure I may as well get my Toon Link and Ike orders in now.
Today I went looking for a Samus amiibo and realised the folly of waiting so long.
TRU delayed my Zelda. Kinda weird considering their retail stores are stocked to the brim with them. I'll probably check my BB this week since I need to pick up something and also return something.
The Walmarts around my location are pretty stacked with common figures. Have you tried there for her? Of course the more rural the better around here but I am in South Carolina so the market probably isnt as crazy as a more populous region.Today I went looking for a Samus amiibo and realised the folly of waiting so long.
Guess Amazon is not stocking much Nintendo product.
I am not really surprised because Amazon and Nintendo seem to have a bad relationship.
I am going to hunt for the first half of new ones on Friday.
Thanks. Tossed in a Mega Man also.Yeah you can order them both on toysrus.com and get free shipping. They're still in stock too.
Solution: open box, take out Amiibo, toss box in the garbage bin.My problem with importing them is the box is different, and I actually like the European boxes but I started with the American collection, gotta continue with that.
The European boxes have a number in the top right, like No. 12 for Marth, whereas the American box just has a 6+ in the top right :-(.

I must refrain from reading this thread... I'm this close to give in and buy some (especially Fox and Samus).
Can't believe Target Canada don't even have a shop online yet. It's so stupid. I have no idea how I'm gonna get this one. Preordered it on Play-Asia last week but since nothing is safe...

Fox is next to become rare - I've heard this in person from a retailer and from multiple other internet sources. That doesn't mean he won't be back in circulation some day, but Nintendo isn't sending anymore out.
Better get him while you can, it's one of the coolest figures so far.
Amazon's policy yet again to promise what they do not know they have.
