DmC Definitive Edition ($40, major rework) & Devil May Cry 4 (w/ Vergil) for XB1/PS4

The game being called "Special Edition" makes me think it'll have new content.

I wonder how many people actually missed a really good game because they listened to the wrong posts when it comes to DmC. Some sound straight up insane.

Anyway, 60fps will help the game a lot on consoles, it's the way it should be played.
 
Does the rebalancing in DmC mean no more DMC2 guns? If so I'll probably pick it up when it goes on sale.

I'll be picking up DMC4 day one just to show my support for the series.
 
DMC4 better outsell DmC. No more Donte!!!

It might be a basic port. The PC version had turbo mode and a mode with triple the enemy count, no?
 
Please bring these updates officially to the PC version as well please. I'll even pay for these upgrades DXHR - Director's Cut style.

I'm interested to see what Capcom will take from this. Like, if DmC:DE sells decently well will they think "Well people want a DmC2" or will they think "Well people seemed to like the changes to DmC that made it a little closer to the standards of the franchise, so lets just make DMC5".

I'm glad to see they aren't ignoring the franchise but at the same time I have no idea what direction they're going next with this.
 
Now this makes me wonder if it shows Capcom supports DMC in general still and we will eventually get a DMC sequel, or that Capcom wants to continue supporting the reboot and hence DmC remaster. It definitely shows they are listening to what the fans wanted in DmC, but now I wonder if we will get DMC5 or DmC2 now..
 
I held out on DmC thinking this would happen eventually, glad I did and that it's not full price.

Devil May Cry 4 was one of my favorites in the series (backtracking aside) aswell so getting the special edition is a no brainer for me.

It is a fun game, but good lord does it get Dante so wrong. It is a game you want to skip cutscenes.
 
Oh there's DMC4 too? Will buy day one then.

Capcom is really going all out with remasters/ports if it means that I'll get Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen: Definitive Edition then I'm pk with this.

These guys LITERALLY took my change requests and put it into this version. Hats off to NT/Capcom... I will be buying TWO copies of this!
 
The integrated mods, rebalancing, and plethora of new modes are amazing. This is how a "Definitive Edition" should be.

$40 is the icing on the cake.

Will undoubtedly pick this up if/when I get a PS4 or XBone. This is honestly the most compelling reason yet for me to pick up one of those consoles.

Ninja Theory didn't get everything perfect with this game, but they've been extremely responsive to feedback and have definitely given the game a lot of love. Kudos to them.
 
If your a DMC fan, you should get both of these to prove to Capcom you have interest in DMC in general.

I want DMC5 as much as the next cat,and i'd take that over DmC2. But without proper incentive to pour money into the pot, we won't get anything from Capcom. That's their new line in the sand
 
This makes me really curious if there's gonna be any Dragon's Dogma news soon.

The official Dragon's Dogma website had a news post saying there would be DMC and Dragon's Dogma news, and the news post was taken down. This must be the DMC news it was referring to. I'll be very happy with either a Dragon's Dogma port to next gen consoles and PC, or a Dragon's Dogma 2.
 
Thought the whole "Definitive Edition" was Square's thing.

While I personally won't buy it, since I've already beaten the last-gen version. For those that have yet to play it, I certainly recommend it.

Well, at least we can be damn sure that they care about the feedback. They didn't need to change some of the stuff they changed for it to sell, they did it because fans told them those things needed to be changed.

Turbo Mode is easy work, but a lock-on? I would never, ever, expect that.
 
I'm still not interested in the game. ..
If I ever feel like playing this I will simply boot up the PS+ version Sony gave me already on PS3.

As previously alluded, we are indeed also confirming the existence of Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition, which is apparently coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next summer (2015) and has something to do with that blue guy. Not sure what, exactly. Guess you’ll all just have to start guessing. ;D
