Bale in a Malick movie? HOLY SHIT!
Bale in a Malick movie? HOLY SHIT!
Malick's camera work is the best in the biz. His shots are breathtaking.
To be fair, all trailers for Malick films are bursting with this sense of magic and awe. But there's no way to tell if this will be another masterpiece, or yet another extremely pretty turd sandwich.
And Bale is, at best, the third reason to go see this behind Malick and Blanchett.
Remember when Malick took time to make movies? Now he squirts them out like candy.

they actually shot it in 2011, i think.
Can't say I'd call any of Malick's films a turd sandwich. Didn't care for To The Wonder but I wouldn't use those words to describe it.
Awesome, didn't like to the wonder that much but everything else has been straight up. With the 3 movies before it being GOAT tier
Days of Heaven is better than Tree of Life. I haven't seen The Thin Red Line or The New World.
All good, though. Between Tree of Life/New World/Thin Red Line alone he's blown me away more than most directors ever will.
Another pretentious film people will pretend to like to feel like they are smart.
