Ah Hermes are awful. Really wish companies would just stick with royal mail or DPD. Only reliable companies at this time of year (as in at least you know you will get it)
In my e-mail to Nintendo I asked for either a refund or for them to send it again via Royal Mail.
It's kinda sad that I'll probably only get the refund over getting the Amiibo but if I get that, at least it's something.

I fear buying online as I might get a bad one. I saw the Diddy I got has a pencil line on his body, but I am fine with just that (or might get a thin rubber to remove).
Not yet. But I imagine that they will go fast when they do.

Same here. That's why I didn't pre-order Lucario when I had the chance. More than getting a derpy one though, I don't trust shipping procedure enough to get these to me in a condition I'll be happy with. Shulk and Meta Knight were available to be picked up in store, so at least I can see them before I actually pay.

The Best Buy Saga concludes.
this being my 4th trip back the store to pick up my Preordered Zelda and Mac I called to make sure that YES I could in fact pick them up today. They were even on the shelf!
So I drive the 20 min to the store on my lunch break to get them. They of course were not pulled for preorder and there was only 1 Mac. Whatever it's mine.
And I'm told I can't buy them yet because Zelda releases tomorrow and Mac on Friday. I immediately get pissed and demand to see a manager.
The website has said the store had them since Friday. I was told different release dates. I was told when I called earlier they were available and this is the second time they have been put on the shelf.
The Manager OKs the sale but they can't get around their computer systems lock on the products, so they ring me up at $5 a piece and tell me they will just finish out the sale on Friday and I'm welcome to take the figures now.
My only other 2 options for non-internet sales is Wal-Mart and Gamestop and both seem to have the same weird release dates. They had no problems with the 1st series but these are all messed up. No sign of Pit at all.

Agh, I'm stuck in this constant Amiibo limbo.
I don't actually have any amiibo yet, but I'm torn. It's the constant loop of "Just buy the fire emblem characters (my favorites) & the Zelda figures for Hyrule Warriors."
That then becomes "well I might as well collect them all, because eventually I'll want the entire set, and they'll be harder to find once they start releasing en masse, like the skylanders."
Which finally becomes "this is so dumb, I don't even have a use for the amiibos because I don't even have a wii u, I should just avoid this altogether."
I struggled so hard to avoid skylanders & disney infinity, and barely managed to do so. Amiibos finally managed to break me because of the Fire Emblem / Zelda characters, but I don't know, man.
I don't even want to consider how stressful it's going to be when they release Lucina, either..

Speaking of opened ones, I know some people found nice cases for Skylanders in the form of tool organizers and whatnot. Anyone here using something non-traditional for storing them when not in use?
Did you use the Nintendo UK store like I did? Whoever they use to deliver is shit. Guy who delivered my amiibo didn't even knock, just chucked a "missed you" slip through the letterbox and left the box by the porch. I was just in the other room, and got up straight away thinking he hadn't left it and was gonna return it for collection but when I opened the door he was already gone in like 10 seconds. He must have run or something, haha. So lazy.
This thread is bad for my health. Almost bought a Shulk, Megaman, and Sonic just because they might be rare. Just gonna stick to my mains (Pit/Dark Pit, Villager, Lucario, Toon Link).

Interesting. I got another your order is ready for pickup tomorrow, diddy and zelda, this morning. Also got that on Friday but then it was delayed again. I am going to wait till tomorrow. If they sell them from under me I will be pissed but I went ahead and got them from other retailers as well.

Glad I took advantage of the original Buy 3 for $30 at TRUNow THAT was a good deal!

Europe and Japan have all of Wave 2 out in the wild. The US only has Zelda, Mac, and Diddy, and possibly maybe some Luigi.

Man target is useless. I had a Diddy ordered for store pickup, and they sold it. I now have two days to choose a new delivery method even though he's not available online. Looks like ill just have to storm best buy tomorrow...
Alright, I found Diddy at my Target in Savannah, GA. There were 2 left. They also had a price tag for Luigi, but didn't have any on display. I asked about them and they checked inventory and confirmed they had none in stock.
I also now have Wave 3 (the 7, minus exclusives) in my cart on Walmart.com. Believe it or not, I have never pre-ordered or even bought anything from Walmart.com. How reliable is it? If it's anything like the actual store, then I'm uneasy. I have all the exclusives minus Rosalina preordered. Just wondering if I should do the Walmart preorder or wait.
