Guys... The only other TRU in the county only had FOUR! Every other box in the shipment was freaking Diddy.
ARRGGHH. The Canadian Amiibo Chart listed Metaknight as being preorderable in-store at BB. Went to 2 stores and both said no! TRU employee also said Lucario isn't even in their system yet. Damn Canada!
I've been told the same by EB employees at 2 different stores. Not sure on the legitimacy though.

And I called the stores in Orange County, Florida too; only one with any left as of an hour ago is the Florida More store with 2.

I went to Wal-Mart today, and I found a Marth, his sword is not all that great but at least I got him, also bought a Kirby cause he's cute and stuff, and now I'm going to look for the others and see if I can get all wave 1 since 2 is not here yet. Yay?

It was like 2:38 AM. I didn't think preorders would glitch out like that. Was definitely going to post it after but someone posted it went live at 2:39 AM and I had just checked out at 2:40 AM.

I doubt it...none of the wave 3 amiibo can be pre-ordered on Target's site.

It was up for pre-order (read past messages) but only for a few minutes. Also, it was 1 per order. You could not add more than 1 to cart. I highly doubt thousands of people were stalking Target's site at 2:38 AM PST. Because for it to sell out it would have to have been thousands of unique orders in like 3 mins in the middle of the night. It will come back in stock later.

It could just be sites are reporting on that comment that was on Targets Facebook page or something. A lot of people are just looking at the listing and assuming it's sold out already.

This is fucked. I am kind of getting pissed off. I hate seeing so many dissapointed people here and I am sick of checking in store and online dozens of times a day.

I'd bet money that at least one thousand preorders went through. This is an incredibly exclusive single retailer only figure. You do not give people who vulture these things enough credit.

Let's make a cabal, a secret amiiboGAF group that covenants to buy as many select amiibo as they find so that they can sell them back to the members of GAF who aren't able to get theirs properly. That way, no one has to pay some shady scalper and we can all help secure the wanted amiibo for each other and everybody wins. Except for Target and scalpers.

Even if 1,000 pre-orders went through the run of Rosalina and Luma has to be quite a few thousands. Shulk, Lucario, and Meta-Knight were up for a long while and you could order multiples. Shulk and Meta-Knight are still up actually. But I doubt even more than a handful of orders went through considering the time of night.
At like 4:30-4:45am CST this morning, the button changed from "Add to Cart" to "Pre-order Now" and I think in making that change, they accidentally made the website go live for 3 or 4 minutes.
