Fuck, i missed rosalina again. The day i decided to rest...

also my diddy got canceled from Target...

life is not fair sometimes...

I was thinking of going amiibo hunting but im so tired right now, going back to sleep, good luck AmiiboGAF.

I found Sonic & Ike at gamestop. Can I ask where you guys are finding Pit and Falcon? Pit was the one I've been most interested in.
 
I called in TRU. No Pit or C.Falcon.

I called GameStop. The guy saw that they are getting a shipment in of Pit, but no C.Falcon. He is holding a Pit for me, and will call me as soon as they get in.
 
Walmart.com still has Ike, Dedede, Sonic, and Megaman. That's who's getting my money since TRU doesn't want it.

I was able to get free shipping buying two of them which is nice.
 
The most frustrating isn't that the pre-orders were cancelled, it's that they canned a ton of them bought during the sale. Almost as if they saw how much they'd make if they weren't on sale. I almost half expect them to raise their prices next year.

Just talked to TRU customer service again and I don't know how much truth there is to this but the woman said they're are mostly going to remove the amiibo preorders again and cancel all that were made this morning as well. They are having issues with their system keeping them off the website. I did manage to get a $25 credit out of them this time though :/

Me neither, but Amazon Germany just shipped my Wii Fit Trainer. If you have an Amazon account, it couldn't be easier. Same login, same credit card info.
I would suggest using a browser like Chrome like so it can do some translation on the fly, if you don't speak French. Good luck!

Wow... Toys R us cancels My Lucario amiibo in the middle of the night and now it's not letting me re-order. Target is putting up low quantities of Rosalina in the middle of the night for minutes, it's just ridiculous the way amiibos are being handled by retailers.

Shitballs. I just got an email from Zavvi saying my Diddy has been delayed till the new year but the tone of the email suggests I'll be lucky if it does come in stock.

No mention of the other wave 2 orders though. Fingers crossed for a dispatched email soon...

Fair play to them for giving me a 10% discount code though.
 
There's nothing fun about trying to get your hands on an amiibo not named yoshi, dk or mario. The whole thing is leaving such a rotten taste.

Pretty much. If you aren't in this for A listers, the universe is just telling you to fuck outta here at this point.

I don't think it's worth it anymore. Marth is dead, Pit is gone, Rosalina got snatched the fuck up and I bet Mega Man will be roped up in the first 3 milliseconds of its shelf life too...
 
It doesn't make sense to me logically that they were enforce limited quantities on a cleaned slate of pre-order cancellations just to reset them again because their system malfunctioned.

Everything else about what happened sucked dicks but still made logical sense if that was their move. Resetting them again wouldn't.

Then again, this whole mess doesn't seem to make a lot of sense XD

I just went with in store pick up at game stop. I have to get shulk there, so might as well secure some other ones.

FUUUUUUUUU I pray this doesn't happen. It's starting to become more than just fun collecting. If this happens again and I'm too late, I'll just get whatever I see in stores or online when ACTUALLY available.
 
I dont know if there's any people from holland in this thread looking for Pit/Falcon/Zelda, but i was just at ToysXL in Almere and they had 1 of each, i hid them behind some pokemon toys on the other side of the display ^^

if TRU cancels again, I'm quitting this hunt. Selling them all and getting out while I can. Just gonna keep Mega Man whenever that comes out.
 
So what are my realistic options for getting any of these? Are they region locked? If not, are regions outside of NA fucking it up as much as this? When the demand dies down eventually, can I realistically hope that the ones being sold online drop in price?

Man Nintendo, I was looking forward to the Smash Amiibo being a cool thing I could collect over time, but I guess that's not happening.

Only differences are packaging. They are region free. At this point who knows how they fix

None are region locked. You can readily buy these from outside the US. amazon.de for example.
 
Has anyone bought a Marth from eBay? There are a number of Marths from Japan on eBay with free shipping. Is it really free shipping if it is coming internationally to my country? USA.
 
People are getting antsy about these Amiibos because they want to get their favorite characters.

I think the fear of limited supply is keeping everyone on edge.

The preorder cancellations and retailer exclusives don't help.

All that said, maybe we can all just take a step back and wait for an official restock of the entire line. I mean, it's the holidays and its hustle-and-bustle time but no one should be risking a heart attack over this whole thing.

Agreed! We still have till February when these new ones actually come out. Plus it's Christmas time. Everything is crazy around this time.

My Pit reservation got cancelled. Just kind of shrugged my shoulders. Nothing is really a surprise any more. I feel super lucky that I got a Diddy Kong and Little Mac last week.

I wonder if the $1 pre-order Lucario cards are still going to be any good. I did get one of those!
 
My local TRU has Lucario pre-order cards, I guess I'll go on lunch today and do that. They canceled my Luigi along with my Lucario, but luckily he is currently in stock ont he website and I was able to re-order him. Luckily, my Pit and Captain Falcon pre-orders were at Gamestop. My God, what a clusterfuck this all is.
 
Guys, this isn't an NOA issue. Stock is, sure, but TRU's order system is awful. Anything that's a hot toy that is in limited quantities has this same issue at their site. They likely use an outdated system that only "pings" quantity at certain intervals instead of one-to-one.
