Yeah all my preorders were quantity 1, and they canceled everything but Lucario so far. I emailed TRU customer service and they promise a reply in 7-10 business days, doh.

I mean, it's Captain Falcon. He's not that popular.

Of course, that's the exact reason I want him. A unique piece of NINTENDO merch that may eventually be limited in supply once Ninty sees that it isn't selling as well as the rest.
 
Just re-ordered my Lucario thankfully they're still available. Was really annoying getting my order from back in November canceled out of the blue in the middle of the night though.
 
so what was up with the wave of TRU canceling orders? I was just able to order a Lucario with a Limit 1 per cust. Will my order get canceled?

Wow this thread moves quick! Very sorry guys, Im gonna have to repost a question that got lost in the fray a few pages back. My plight and query goes to the UK GAF contingent.

What in the world... I was going to go to my local Best Buy today and pick one up. Now I don't know if I want to get there at the store's opening if they might not even let me buy it.
 
For those of you having trouble with not getting free shipping, I had the same issue using my normal browser. I switched to a different one and it showed up as free shipping there and let me check out no problem. Probably has something to do with the cookies saved on your machine. Just a suggestion.

Not trying to single you out, but we need to keep the OP updated with info so major events don't get buried in the thread.

To explain again: It seems that ALL TRU pre-orders on things currently not in the store got cancelled. This includes Pit, Lucario, Captain Falcon and all of Wave 3.

Most are now back up for pre-order with limited quantities being enforced. Captain Falcon was available earlier but he may be sold out again now. Pit never re-emerged. There is no official statement from TRU as to why this was done other than people calling and getting "I don't knows" and claims that everything was cancelled due to overselling.

Theories could be anything from a mishap to a wide slate clean to make up for scalpers taking most of the stock and TRU realizing they fucked up. Redditors were also brute forcing in-store pre-orders so that potentially massively oversold things as well.

I'm still waiting on a Falcon they dispatched on Wednesday. I think the post is just really slow at the moment with the extra Christmas demand. They're relatively big parcels too.

I think Nintendo is trying to outdo Sony's shit show with the limited PS1 themed PS4.

Also, do you guys suspect toon link will be one of the rarer ones for wave 3? What about Sheik? I want to collect all the LoZ amiibos so I am trying to figure if I should put my pre-order in now if i can find any

BestBuy texted/then called to cancel my Little Mac order and I just replied with..."But I pre-ordered it."

They went away for 3 minutes and came back saying they are getting a shipment of 2 and they can call me when it is ready and give me $15 gift card for my trouble.

Yes, you should do that cause that's why I had it ship 2 store.

Did your Lucario make it through?

We're all speculating and trying to figure it out right now, but you would be the first I've heard of that had a Lucario not get cancelled in the midst of this. No one seems to be talking in official capacities (Nintendo, TRU, etc.)

Well too late now. Lol. I just have a feeling that between now and February, Nintendo and/or retailers might get their shit together. It might be too optimistic to think that but they still have plenty of time to sort everything out. Plus I think having everything being released so close to Christmas is what's making everyone go crazy.
 
I feel bad for all the people who ordered one Lucario and got cancelled, only to look up after the second preorder gets sold out and are left standing there out in the rain.
 
And TRU canceled my Lucarios preorders as well. Damn it. I had two, one for me, one for my nephew. I'm going to put another preorder in but only because I have to. I really hate the exclusive nonsense right now.

That's impossible. The only way to get one of those PS4s in Denmark was to participate in a competition about getting the most likes on Facebook. Seriously

I was wrong, and despite seeing the cancel last night, I failed to get my new order in. I think I'm done with these. With every other figure, they spelled out which Amiibo was canceled. With Lucario, they simply listed an item number so I did not notice.
 
Just got 5 cancel notifications from TRU
Bye bye Pit, Falcon, Sonic, Ike, Lucario and Mega Man. I'm done with them and I'm done with Amiibos.
 
Hmm. Maybe I should just stay up all night from now on. Missed the Lucario reorder by 2 minutes and Rosalina is a 4 AM purchase. ;___;
 
The thing that pisses me off is that they canceled my orders that were part of the sale then have the balls to relist Lucario with shipping at a higher charge.

For people that can't watch video: 19 year old gets thrown into a pole because Walmart decided to have customers RACE TO THE DOORS to get a spot for 1 of 10 PS3s. There was roughly 50 or so people there. Someone shoved the kid into the pole.

Yeah it's terrible service and extremely frustrating. I reordered all of them elsewhere and missed Lucario. I think I'll cancel my outstanding preorders and dump what I did buy. It's not worth the hassle.
 
Hate to say it but I'm close to giving up on buying these. The way everything is being handled makes no sense. Really wanted Rosalina for me and my 5 year old now that won't happen. Got my original Lucario order cancelled but was able to order again. Still no word on Pit and Falcon from Amazon and I ordered them on day 1.
