no way...open those suckers up. I believe the NA versions are rare. easy to get pal and jap versions.
 
I'm home for the holidays and it's a small town with an Argos and noticed that they had almost every Amiibo in stock... So I went and got a few, but Captain Falcon ended up coming up as £9999.99. This price gouging is getting mad!

Thanks. I went to a bunch of stores in Waterloo and didn't see squat. I'm back at my parent's for the holidays and I'm hoping I can find stuff around here. My sister found Little Mac and Diddy Kong easily here so I'm hoping my hometown is a solid place to find the harder to get ones.
 
Gamestop.com inventory checker is showing some Pits available now. They weren't earlier. Only a couple of stores about 40 miles from me show anything though. Might want to check it out.

Probably Play-Asia. They're just a huge company and have been doing this for a long time. They have affiliate programs in the US as well I have used for my website. So they do a lot of US business.

I haven't personally had a problem with either though. I went with NY because for me it's worth saving the $8. Otherwise I wouldn't have even made the purchase.

Debating on whether I should get a Captain Falcon amiibo. Don't use him that much in Smash, mostly casual use.

But it's the good Captain...

Doesn't say just "low availability" but yeah preorders could be the case. They aren't available for store pick up from what I've seen so far.

Got my Zelda, Diddy, and Little Mac from best buy just now. They packaged them perfectly, and are all in perfect condition. I will not hesitate to order online from best buy again
 
I have an extra Diddy and Zelda if anyone is looking. Will have to check receipt but probably $14 plus shipping from MN. PM me if interested.

Didn't think these needed to be pre-ordered before, but for Wave 3 I actually went ahead and did so (at Gamestop) just to be safe. Pit is the only one I need to complete the first two waves, but the Target near my house has been an excellent resource thus far. I think I'll be okay as long as I keep on checking there.

Ah, well I'd say wait for deliveries today then. I know my Gamestops for instance usually get their deliveries between 10AM-2PM.

I won't either, but I'll be scheduling backups. I got a $25.00 coupon for having my Little Mac pre-order cancelled.
 
Pit is showing limited stock at a couple GS around me as well.

Sadly I just dropped off my Jeep for service at a dealerahip. I am expecting around a 1000.00 bill T_T

With that and the other car being used by the wife, I think I will just read your alls stories and hope my BB preorder comes through.
 
Question for anyone with Japanese figures; when you scan them in, do they have any differences from the English versions? Names in Japanese etc?
 
no sign of Pit yet here in colorado springs.

I've got target and gamestop inventory checkers open and will be checking throughout the day, I should be fine if I head out as soon as they start popping up

I'm thankful I live in an area with 8 gamestops and 4-5 targets, makes this whole process a lot less painful. I've managed to secure every amiibo so far with no pre-orders.

Oh wow, I haven't even seen Diddy and Mac here in southern Ontario. Just Zelda, lots and lots of Zelda.
 
Amazon says my Diddy should arrive at my house by Friday. Which is a much appreciated update over them not knowing anything.

So here's my situation right now.

Wave 1:
Complete

Wave 2:
Zelda - Received from Amazon
Luigi - Pre-ordered from Amazon, ??? when it'll arrive
Little Mac - Best Buy/UPS says it'll be delivered today
Diddy Kong - Amazon says it'll be delivered Friday
Captain Falcon - Best Buy says it'll ship on 12/30
Pit - Best Buy says it'll ship on 12/30

Wave 2 is such a cluster fuck. Wave one was super easy. I guess it helps that Marth and Wii Fit Trainer were two of the amiibo I pre-ordered early because I really like both of them. I did have to pay $7 over MSRP for Villager since luckily I had the foresight to buy him before he went impossible to find.

Wave 3:
Everything is pre-ordered. Rosalina through Amazon.de which isn't ideal, but it's a good backup in case I can't get a US doll.

I live in an area with more of each of those as well as 3 BB, 2 TRU, 1 Spin Street, 1 F.Y.E. and a Kmart + 2 Sears... and I STILL had to preorder to get PIT.... lol

All preorder except Rosalina... which like you I have a backup through Amazon.de... Luckily I have 8 Targets in a 40 mile radius.

I'm sorry, he apparently died fucking fast. I managed to get one ordered. I have an acknowledgement from TRU in my email. I hope it sticks. That was literally up for roughly 1-2 mins.
