I was able to snag a Diddy Kong and Little Mac at a Meijers store I walked into randomly over the weekend. Still looking for Pit and Captain Falcon though.
What is the word on Pit, though? Is he becoming pretty rare? I REALLY want him.

In North America he technically hasn't been reased yet. Some stores have put him on the shelf however.
It'd just another example of this whole process being a complete mess here.

I'm assuming this is to try and fix the canceled preorders. Make the item purchase able but expensive. Then the people who need to reinstate get a coupon or something to lower to normal price.
Is that like a glitch?

Just had to respond to this message. When I was in college, my friends and I would constantly just put him in his black jacket costume and refer to him as Malpractice Mario.
He still has that black jacket costume in the new Wii U Smash

No new Amiibos on Saturday night. My clerk bud that works there says he hasn't received any Wave 2 anything outside a couple Little Macs and Diddy's that were for pre-orders, but then nothing else. Wave 2B is not going to arrive there until after the 1st of the year. He says his Nintendo Rep claims port strikes are the reason that his gamestop isn't receiving dick all yet.

I only ordered the ones I really wanted to lessen the pain on my wallet. If remember right I ordered Dedede, Sheik, Ike, Lucario, Rosalina, and Bowser. There are more I just can't remember all my impulse buying.

Yeah I just ordered Ike, Toon Link, Bowser, Megaman and Lucario.
I'd love to have them all but that's waaaaay too many amiibos and money in the end. I also wanna save space for future amiibos

Has there been any further updates past Friday? Are they still not going back up for sale (and potentially not in store)?
Edit: I'd also like to mention, many of the stores I went to on Friday (Target/Walmart/TRU) had areas still out for Wii Fit Trainer. I don't recall those before. I wonder if they are expecting a restock soon on those.

I doubt that will be happening soon. I think when Nintendo was answering that question, they were referring to the future when they release many more amiibo types for other games. They can't keep manufacturing Smash Bros ones forever, but they want to keep giving people the functionality that might hit it up 1-2 or even more years down the line when those amiibos aren't in a ton of demand anymore.

30/31 is the "true" street date for captain falcon and Pit
Wave 4 best not be announced until all of this complete chaos has been fixed.

I just got off the phone with gamestop. Mine is supposed to be getting pit in today. He's gonna give me a call when he confirms it came in. I'll report back if it pans out. GO GO GO!

I wouldn't give up just yet. It's the week of Christmas and he isn't truly even supposed to be released in the US yet...same with Pit. Just give it some time.

Just give it time. I was able to get Capt Falcon from TRU eBay site on Friday. Don't overspend on an amiibo when it hasn't really been released to every store yet. I believe just Target started stocking on Friday.
Even so, I've been told by many gamestops and the local Best Buy that they are getting around 2-5 of each of them. Even then those are most likely preorders.

I feel pretty confident that amiibos will be getting a bigger release after Christmas. Just keep in mind this is Christmas right now. Easy to find things are harder to find. Even Link fluctuates in and out of stock on Amazon consistently. Go to any store, and he's pretty easy to find.

I understand being iffy about the big 3 from Wave 1, but Captain Falcon and Pit are not even technically supposed to be released yet. Yeah, I can imagine stores are potentially going to only get a few in their initial shipment and they need to fill pre-orders. That doesn't mean they won't get anymore.

That's going to backfire. At least for characters like Link, Fox and Mario who seem plentiful.
I'll have to use my credit I have at GAME to buy one online it seems. I can get a Falcon at Argos right next to GAME before I head back to London.

I forced myself away from this thread for 4 days, and I broke the cycle. No longer buying amiibos. You guys should give it a try if you're looking for an escape.

Not a bad price at all, about $4-$6 more than buying it in the US depending on if you had to pay for shipping.
I will say this though if you are serious about it better hurry. I tried to buy it yesterday but it went out of stock while in my cart. They put it back up this morning seems like.
