This is why I think there should be an offline mode for every game released. So your playing experience won't be cut severely. I don't see how one can make a case for always online home consoles when you can't even protect your servers. Some will say these attacks only come few and far between, but you can't go around telling people that they should expect servers to be down at various times of the year which ate out of our control and you should just deal

Hell, my family's cable provider had a sustained (3~4 hr) outage a few nights ago and they didn't seem phased by it since it's a common occurrence with the company in question (Brighthouse).

That shit drove me crazy and it was my first time experiencing it.
