Someone with Networking knowledge enlighten me. I'm picturing internet traffic being something like a freeway/highway in that once a blockage occurs, as long as people are still trying to travel through that blockage, it creates a backup of sorts. So that even once the cause of the blockage is removed.. the traffic can still be hindered due to everyone still trying to travel that route. Would that be correct or completely wrong?
Another way to say it would be.. if say.. Holiday traffic to PSN and Xbox were backed up starting last night... and a large amount of people were still continuously trying to log in through various means... would the service still be backed up even if the initial cause of the backup was removed?
