They have, though. After the initial OS update (is that still a thing?), you're likely to see similar bandwidth usage across PS4 and XB1.

Yeah was all updated and played 3 events in FH2 SP in the early hours of Xmas morning but when we to play some after Xmas dinner then would throw me out at FH2 menu saying needed to be signed in to play at all it seems.

Not being able to go online is one thing but no SP in these situations is crazy - hoping its more an FH2 thing than a long term Xbox thing.
 
San Diego, California resident here, made it to the PSN store on PS4 and redeemed my game. :)

Eh, I just pulled the ethernet cable out of my xbox and carried on playing FH2 just fine.
 
Seems to me like the "hack" could all be nonsense.

Think about it, everyone who owns these consoles gets games for Christmas, the first thing they do is download massive patches. That alone is going to put huge bandwidth demand on live and psn. No need for a hack!

I would like to see some proper journalism on this.

This doesn't happen every year, not at this scale.
 
Signed into PSN on my PS4 in the DC area, but stuff like trophy sync and code confirmation seem to be malfunctioning. (I can enter a code, bring up the item, but can't confirm purchase).

Half way there, I guess.
 
Still down in Iowa (PS4). Ruined me and my fiancees eternal bond night in FFXIV.

If there was karma someone would swat the guy responsible and put him in the hospital.
 
I can't even boot up EA UFC. The first screen that comes up is a black screen with an infinite loading icon. Why not give some sort of error message/let me play offline?

Dallas, TX here, PSN is down. Not letting me play Peggle 2 or Spelunky. Both single player games I bought digitally. Argh damnit Playstation why you gotta be like that?

EDIT: Ok Spelunky eventually timed out on the PSN connect and let me in. But Peggle, damn you Peggle!

Pulled Ethernet and it signed me in FH2 working. Turned machine off and put Ethernet back in and booted up still working.

Seems sorted for me ... Thanks to all the guys who replied - off for some late night Forza action. Cheers
