I hated Jotaro at the beginning after having Joseph I just couldn't believe that spoiled brat's attitude, I mean the way he treats his own mother, his "I am the most badass in town " behaviour, I hated him, but I warmed up to him, he gets better little by little probably because all the things he goes through along the journey and the camaraderie he develops with his new friends, heck, Jotaro and Kakyoin are amazing friends yet so different in personalities that if it wasn't for the incredible circumstances that brought them together, I can't see them becoming friends if it wasn't for that, that's how insufferable Jotaro was at the beginning, he changed but still he'll never surpass Joseph in my heart as the greatest Jojo ever.

The problem I have with Jotaro is that I just don't find him interesting. I've never been a fan of the whole stoic character so to me his "personality" is basically that of a brick wall. I like Jonathan better than him because at least he had the whole being a gentleman and had something like emotions rather just almost always having a indifferent expression on his face. Still, he's not the worst Jojo though.

Joseph will always be number 1.

Jonathan cried for old man Zeppeli, Jotaro didn't even bother leaving his hotel room when Polnareff was getting attacked.

Jonathan is a lot better when you just treat him as the "origin legend" of entire saga like the original Belmont in Castlevania, but maybe not that good seeing his actual journey lol.

And yeah Jotaro rocks, screw the haterz and he actually had a lot character development moment throughout his part.

I'm going to sit here assuming that Jotaro ends up with a woman that looks like Suzie Q and Jonathan's wife because they both have similar characteristics.
Jotaro is the only one who found Enyaba suspicious and outsmarted her.
That's one of Jotaro's best moments. My observation is more aimed at Polnareff getting attacked by that creepy doll thing...Soul Sacrifice I think they called it.

Yeah that part was dumb. One thing that really annoys me in Jojo (and I feel this is more prevalent in part 1 and 2) is that everyone just stands and watch while someone is getting attacked. Imagine how fast they could take down Dio in Part 1 if Jonanthan, Straizo, and the other two guys attacked him at once. Speedwagon could even help with his hammer.

Had they actually done something as a team Dire probably would've lived. Speedwagon seems like such a noncombatant. He just like to scream narrate everything.

Jotaro is stoic because he's modeled after a Clint Eastwood character. He's a direct homage to the man with no name from the Dollars trilogy.

Finished Battle Tendency.

Kars flying into space after becoming the most op creature ever, okaaaay....

Honestly, i'm still not sold on the "meat" of the show (the fights, the plot, the pacing and the powers), but its characters are enjoyable, the graphic artstyle suberb and it's so ridicolously over the top you just can't stop watching.

Gonna start Stardust Crusaders today, want to catch up before Jan 10.

Also, it looks like between the anime and ps3 game the series is having a big success (i know it has always being famous, you know what i mean), so i guess they'll continue adapting other parts?

As a fellow italian, can't wait to reach that one.

That Cars finale was crazy. He's no Dio, but in the end he was pretty fun. Stardust Crusaders is a lot different, I'm just going to warn you now. Jotaro isn't as lively as Joseph, but the crew and their interactions help make up for it. Regarding Cars, is it wrong if this part made me laugh out loud?

Yeah I think it's the other way around, as Clint Eastwood himself is pretty popular in Japan. His film 'Letters from Iwo Jima' made way more bank there than in the states and his movies are pretty well known.

Stardust Crusaders has better music direction, so i associate more with "shit is getting real" whereas most of Overdrive has been spliced up and altered

I'm sure he had no idea what he was doing at that meeting lol.

No it's fine. I'm sure Clint's signing a deal on his own anime series.

Comparing "main themes", is the consensus that Overdrive is better than Stardust Crusaders?

I think both songs are fitting for the moments they're used in both parts, though I think I might prefer Overdrive more.

Overdrive having Lotus Juice gives me intense Persona flashes, but I really like Stardust Crusader's theme.

Yeah it does, minus the ep with that pedophile monkey. I have no idea why they drew an at most 13 year old like that.
It's the same pose in the manga, but like, it's just one panel, and they keep her on screen naked for a good 30 seconds. Still not as bad as the shit in NGNL within the first 5 minutes of the episode.
