You guys are making me even more hypd for the future parts, but this hurts since i'll probably watch them years from now... i wish i could just pull a Dio every year and go to sleep on the seabed until JoJo gets back on air.

I hope they don't change anyone's voices from ASB to Stardust for Part 4. Replacing Hol Horse was a crime, although I'm sure it was due to scheduling issues.

This next Friday.

I liked Part 4's cast in ASB as well. Guess we'll find out who they've picked when Eyes of Heaven is released.

It's so much better than S1 but still not even remotely impressive from an individual stand point.

Hah, no. SC might have had better animation, but S1 pretty much trumps it in every other way possible. The Battle Tendency portion of S1 was literally some of favourite shit that came out in 2013, anime or otherwise. And I wish people would stop using the word ''objectively" unironically when trying to describe anything fictional.

It's cool to have opinions isn't it?

But yeah, I love those fights without Joseph in Battle Tendency. Oh wait...

It is cool to have them, especially when the other person's opinion is terrible.

And BT had a lot more going for it than simply Joseph. The soundtrack was much more vibrant and exciting than SC. The plot structure was a lot more fun, varied and fast paced than SC, which is 90% stand of the week. The focus on a small set of villains instead of an asshole of the week made for far more meaningful interaction between the protagonist and antagonist (e.g. Joseph and Wham).

And while animation was lacking, BT had a much greater sense of style and enthusiasm, with the way it used its crazy psychodellic colour palatte in order to make up for the fact that a lot of it were static images. SC only really started to experiment towards the end of the second cour with the Death stand fight.

Haha, okay then.

Both Battle Tendancy and Stardust Crusaders as far as they go in terms of writing are pretty shit so it's not like BT trumps SC's MOTW type formula, at least I got to see Jotaro's friends actually win a fight. The Pillar Men are okay characters but you don't really get a good feel for them really rather than they're the bad guys. Also despite Strohiem being a popular character he's the source for a lot of the problems in the series.

Still hardly animated bro. I think I actually jumped out of my seat in amazement when there was that one shred of actual animation when Joseph pounds down the hammer in the colosseum. I could just listen to voice clips from ASB and read the manga and it'd probably be a better experience. David Pro has been a lot more competant since SC began although it's still not "great" yet it's above and beyond the first season in regards to moving pictures.

I dunno, I like the characters in BT much more than in SC and I'd argue Johnathan is a much better Jojo than Jotaro.

Also using opinions as a form of defense is terrible. So what if you have an opinion? You shared it, prepare to have it scrutinized because you're offering it for argument.

Season 1would probably be much better if they had the budget and experience they did for Stardust Crusaders. (Since Jojo's was the first time they really took the horns on a project, they were mainly just a production assistance studio previously) For the anime, I'm going to have to say Stardust Crusaders is better than Season 1 because the animation is there and they do really awesome work. The scene where Jotaro and Avdol are walking down the hall when he's in the jail cell in the first episode, for example, is excellent direction. Let's not forget the continuous cut of Ebony Devil flying around Silver Chariot, either. Their experience from making Season 1 definitely shows in Stardust Crusaders.

Season 1 trumps Stardust Crusaders in characters, I'd say, but SC obviously trumps it in animation skill and direction of scenes. I can't fucking wait to see what that final fight looks like.

This is a pretty massive manga spoiler for a thread titled ATTEMPT NO MANGA SPOILERS HERE.

I said it was a spoiler and didn't give any hints about it but if I'll get rid of it. The person I was addressing had read the manga. If you could edit that out of your post as well.

I didn't know JoJo was coming back so soon and right when I caught up to fate stay night. This fills that void.

The new opening didn't do much for me to be honest. It was terrible IMO. Visually, the ending is fantastic, but that song is also terrible. Never liked it.

As for the episode, it was entertaining, but I wasn't that much of a fan of the new music that played either. It was also kind of missing that awesome onomatopoeia in certain scenes I was certain it would have, but no dice. ;( those two things stuck out to me the most. Outside of that though, it's Jojo!!!! And the animation in some parts was really awesome.

Really do love the visuals of that new ending a lot, but that song. Uggggh
