The interesting thing about this post is that it mirrors the sentiments of at least severala comments to mainstream news stories about this crisis that I've read.

"Get outside", "Now they can spend time with their families", "Hopefully now they'll come out of Mom's basement", and such... there's definitely still a very negative stigma against people who play video games these days.

So it's been getting better apparently on PS4. I regret playing Tales from the Borderlands offline cause the trophies but whatever, I was goddang bored. (And that game was amazing!)

If Sony's system is knocked out, it's knocked out. It doesn't make it better or worse because the other guy's system is knocked out or isn't, or if Sony's system was hit harder than the other one. Not everything is fuel for the console war.

Considering this is a network service and not console specific, this post is trash. People want to know whats going on with a service they are paying for and sonys lack of any real information does make people mad. That doesnt make it automatically a "console war"

PSN and XBL are professional services provided by multi-billion dollar corporations who have a duty to provide service to their customers. When it's clear that it's possible for a company to do better than another at providing those services in the face of adversity, you cannot simply ignore the fact that Sony may simply be doing a bad job.

One service getting attacked more than another doesn't excuse that service going down.

What is the deal with analogies? They're not anal, and they're not loogies. Instead of using the actual situation to describe the situation, you're using this completely made up one, as if it somehow describes the situation better than the actual situation. It's like if I had told a Seinfeld joke instead of described the weird thing with analogies. It's senseless. It has no sense. Use the situation!
 
This is so incredibly frustrating. I know the majority of the responsibility is on the lizard squad but when your network has been hacked before, that's all the more reason you should have your shit before. It's embarrassing that Sony still can't PSN up and running properly.

They can help people to understand a situation better or gain a different perspective by putting it into a framework that's more relatable.

In my experience they just cause derails as people argue about the accuracy of the analogy. I'd like to see less of them. Especially ones that compare corporations to rape victims.
 
It seems like PSN is regressing. Right now, I can't even get get to the manual log in screen. If I try to do it, it just says connection to server has been lost. So I can't even get to the screen to type in my username and password. WTF
