WOWHD (ireland version) seems to be the only reasonably priced one left.

They don't send you import versions (Australian), but the ones pictured?

EDIT: Oh wait, coolshop also sells it for almost the same price. They don't have it in stock, but I trust coolshop far more.

From £32.95
Not in stock

32 EUR vs 33GBP (=42 EUR) is "almost the same price?"

Far Cry 4 worth picking up?

Got £25 voucher for amazon for my birthday ( wish it was for Steam but ahh well) so I'm thinking of picking that up.

Are you entering the 25% part? When I tried to enter 25%COUPONFORYOU it was accepted.

I still find it funny that that coupon gives a £25 discount.

However, I've just tried using it and it's no longer valid. It's letting me check out as though the transaction is going through, and then knocking me back asking for a valid code.

Far Cry 4 is brilliant, especially with friends.

Failing that, I'd recommend Dragon Age.

Is there anywhere that still sells Nintendo/Wii Points? I want to buy something from the Virtual Console and for whatever reason it's not on the pointless Wii U version.

Damn it, GAME. I ordered Deception IV for PS3 as new, but they've sent me a scruffy open box game with a cracked case and damaged manual.

Let's see if they will replace it with a proper sealed new copy.

Usually safer to order from Amazon when you want a copy like that. I'd rather pay a little more at Amazon and know that I'll get a sealed copy than to risk it with Game. Ugh.

Almost genius!

I'm 1,000 Stars short for what I need, though :(

How many Nintendo points do you need ?

I registered my star points for my Wii and never used them - then bought a 3ds and converted them to points not realizing that they could not be used on the 3ds so i have a few different 'cards' on the system which i dont think i have ever used

Your welcome to them if they work

GAME usually sends pre-orders still sealed, it's older titles that they don't always do that for.

I haven't actually checked but I'm assuming it's 800. It's for a SNES game. The Chrono Trigger thread yesterday made me want to play it again :lol

I dunno. Amazon UK sent me 2 (two) used copies of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. The second one was a resealed used copy though, so I guess that´s progress over GAME.

Also, I recently ordered an Amazon UK warehouse deal (PS2 game), which was marked as "Used - Good". Im reality it was just the disc in a replacement case. No manual, no box cover.

All sold by Amazon UK LLC, btw, no third parties.

I wouldn´t trust Amazon anymore than GAME nowadays. But I guess the odds are a little higher at GAME since they have brick and mortar stores where they gut copies.

Not really a great alternative, but if you own a DS or 3DS, you can still get that version for a fairly reasonable price.

Just experienced the same with my "new" copy of Ar no Surge ordered from GAME- not sealed, damaged box and ripped cover art. Seems they're back to their usual tricks, sent them a complaint a few days back and have yet to hear back from them.

I spoke to GAME about a similar issue that a few of us have had, and this is what they said:

You have received a game under a scheme that we call pre-owned received. This means that we have unfortunately run out of stock of the game cases for the game that you have ordered, so we have had to place it in a case that was formerly used as a display case in our stores. However, your game disc is brand new, it is only the case that is pre-owned.

I can't believe they are getting away with this!

Edit: I managed to get £5 worth of reward points. Not ideal as my last two orders have put me off GAME, but acceptable this time, as the item I bought was only £10.

Cheapest way to legally acquire Windows 64-bit? Preferably 8.1 but I'd take 7 if there was a significant saving. (I'm not in college unfortunately and therefore cannot avail of the free student deal)

Check the B/S/T thread on here as I got a legit copy of 8.1 from what I can tell for $40.

This should not be happening.

If anything, things should be labelled appropriately and accurately on their website. State clearly if the case is used and the disc is brand-new, but don't label products new if the whole package is half new, half destroyed.

I totally agree.

Again though, he's still got a brand new game and he got it for five quid (kind of) instead of the ten quid he was going to pay. He's actually come out of this deal pretty well!

I'm not sure you'd do anything differently in Game's position. The options they have are to sell the games as new (which they are) or sell them as pre-owned because they changed the case over and lose the money on them. They're probably going to lose more in "pre-owned" discount than they will in goodwill discounts, so they're going to carry on. Their website probably doesn't allow for them to differentiate between new and pre-owned and a new third option somewhere between the two.

If people are really offended then Game have made it pretty clear that they'll happily refund or come to some other arrangement, their customer service has been really good about this. If you're worried because you're overseas then you're better off just not buying from Game at all rather than complaining when you get what you were warned you might get.

Some people like to have everything in a new condition, for collection purposes or resale value or whatever. I understand for you only the game matters, but I don't see why you feel the need to argue this point again and again. People do care about it and getitng a refund or having to wait for an exchange is often not what people want and expect. It's a shitty practice by GAME, even if it doesn't affect you personally.

If people want a sealed game for their collection then obviously it's totally okay for them to complain about this, and Game will give them a refund or replacement (where possible) with basically no fuss at all.

I'm only talking about people who are buying games to play them, at which point getting an unsealed one is of no real difference to a sealed one if the condition is okay.

Would it be better if it didn't happen at all? Sure, but people are making mountains from molehills.

They are clearly misleading customers. When people want something New, they should get it in that condition. I might have got lucky in a sense this time, but if that happened with a new release, I would have been very angry. It's not acceptable no matter how you put it.

Or people could buy their games somewhere else in the first place, where it doesn't happen at all, like you suggested! Which is why this is brought up again and again, to warn people that this happens when you buy at GAME. I don't see the mountains.

If I want a cheap game in used condition just to play it I have many other options. If I buy new i expect "new". If there is a chance that I will get a used one instead, this should be very clearly pointed out during checkout.

Luckily my copies of Ar Nosurge and Atelier Rorona Plus that I bought in the sale were still in the official sealed PS3 wrapping but I can't say I wasn't worried that they would send me used copies. Getting an actual new item when it's being sold as 'NEW' shouldn't be a crapshoot. It's a joke.

"No fuss at all" maybe IF you haven't got shit to do all day, but plenty of us here hold a job/uni and taking the time to contact cc, then arrange shipping the game back, then wait for a refund... only to finally go hunt another copy and start the purchasing and waiting process all over again... yeah, no fuss at all. And why? Just 'cause they're dishonest and try to sell opened games as sealed. Just bloody sell them for whatever condition they are in and let ME decide if it's worth the asking price. Man, corporate apologists are the worst.

Did Ubisoft not print enough verison of South Park:SoT PS3? Everywhere its cheap in the UK as far as I can tell, its sold out. Got it on backorder from Amazon for £15, but would like to have it sooner rather than later.
