What is the angriest you ever got playing a game?

This is perfect. No game has the ability to piss me off like FIFA does.

I know this is supposed to be a joke but sometimes I genuinely believe that AI has decided I'm no way going to win, no matter what I do, before the game has even started.

FIFA15 is so frustrating that I downloaded PES in the PSN sale and am toying with the idea of defecting.

I don't know for sure, but i think Momentum/Scripting was pretty much confirmed :/. I might be wrong though.

For me, it's usually when I'm playing Punch-Out! for the Wii, especially when I'm facing off against the fighters in the World Circuit.

For my friend, it was playing through the Pachinko level in 'Super Mario Sunshine', and given he's a man that can get pretty pissed when he's upset, it was one of the few times when he had flipped his shit & broke his coffee table.

Playing Fifa 13 or 14 with one of my friends, everything was going against me and that look that he gave me just made me furious. Fifa is the only game that makes me angry.

I'm an avid FIFA-Player and i know your feelings, hell i sold FIFA 15 because i raged to much. But try Mario Kart, with Friends. You might reconsider your last sentence then.

Cod: MW2. Ejected the cd and snapped it in half. Last cod I ever played.
I tried doing that to my SSFIV a few posts up only to realize that discs don't snap; they warp, fold, and tear, and the layers come apart. I had to employ scissors to finish the job.

Were you really able to snap it in half?

Mario Kart Wii. What a piece of shit, I'm still mad.

These guys.

Damn, someone beat me to it

Walk backwards, hold up your shield and wait for both their openings to overlap while using the pillars to mess with the AI. Done. Why does everyone consider this boss fight hard?

Dark Souls is hard when it just throws things at you that you just can't expect, i.e. trial and error.

PES6 (PS2)
And some other game ... only remember it was PS3. And that I threw my controller at the wall ... it shattered to pieces.

Dark Souls/Demon's Souls ... not angry there. Always fair and funny when I die. I'm more like Jeff Green here.

EDIT: Also I'm very proud that I don't punch things anymore or throw stuff at screens/walls. Now I just say a bad word and squeeze my controller.

And whoever thinks violent games cause violence never played Fifa ...

This is how couch coop always looked like for me:

...
1. Like 6-7 years ago I broke 3 computer keyboards in one night while playing Frets on Fire. Haven't played the game since.
...
How does this even happen, I'm impressed.

One of the more frustrating moments I remember being was playing through Ninja Gaiden NES, I had played the first few stages a bit in the past, but for the first time my friend and I had gotten to the final boss after spending several hours playing it. And of course, we died and got sent back to 6-1. I can beat the game in around 30 minutes now, but back then that felt like so much progress lost I couldn't do that again.

I dunno about ever, but the ones in most recent memory are:

1) Fighting Arkham form 2 on Dante Must Die in DMC3 HD.

2) Playing Catherine on Hard. I gave up at the end of the fifth level because I think the game actually left lasting traumatic memories.

The "Bombs Away" mission in Vice City had me shouting at the TV so many times. I distinctly remember screaming "It's impossible... they've made a game that no one can do... AGGGGHHHH!" - I was 22

But with age come a degree of calmness and maturity...

4 months ago I was playing a game of TLOU: remastered MP and one guy took it upon himself to shiv me during every single match (to be fair he was a lot better than I was). After being shived 4-5 times by this guy and getting numerous PSN messages taking the piss I hammered my controller down on what I thought was a soft surface (my mattress). Little did I know I'd put my new phone down next to me and managed to hammer the screen, smashing it completely... a new screen and £80 ($120) later I think I've finally learnt my lesson - I was 34

Fifa 14 on world class winning a league game comfortably 3-0 while being 10 points clear top of the table.second half fifa starts cheating every second and third spilled ball finds its self at the feet the opposition. My defenders start making basic errors give away a penalty from a player I wasn't controlling. And by 80th minute at 3-2 I counter and start time wasting. A guy screws up a short pass whilst at walking speed opposing team counters 3-3 last kick of the game. My team goes on a losing streak and I end up second while being 10 points clear in the final stretch of a season.

Yeah that.....or four kings ng+ cheapness.

I think of myself as a halfway decent player, but sometimes I know the game won't let me win. Every bounce goes to my opponent and I lost countless online games to inferior opponents(or won my fair share against superior opponents).
I'd like to think that it's random to keep my sanity though.

This happened to me the first time I finally made it to the bottom of Blighttown. I had no clue as to where the the bonfire was and would need several more attempts to finally light the thing. I wasn't angry so much as I was now having to contend with my eternal soul being crushed.

Competitive multiplayer can get my blood boiling to the point I need to take a break when I feel I'm getting too agitated.

Looking at you, League of Legends.

Surprisingly, the most angry I think I have ever gotten was facing Armstrong at the end of Metal Gear Rising.

He wasn't even that fucking difficult, but I just couldn't quite beat him each time. The angrier I got the harder it became to defeat him, which just fulled my anger even more. Finally beat him and threw my controller down so hard on the ground afterwards.

Most recently been playing through Lords of the Fallen, and the Worshipper is one cheap motherfucker.

After losing an online match of Virtua Tennis for the 360 I completely lost it and drilled my mobile phone into the floor causing it to smash into several pieces.

I subsequently never replaced it and was without one for about 10 years until I finally got another one about 18 months ago.

I swear to god someone out there is employing people to just intentionally piss me off in this game.

I have taken a break since the time I got so made after losing like 8 straight games with 0 teamates who spoke English on US East that I flipped my shit and screamed at them all in game. I ended up bursting a blood vessel in my eye too so I looked like a zombie for a few days.

EDIT: I also broke like 3 keyboards, 4 headsets, 7 mice, and a desk when I played Counter-Strike 1.6 competitively.

Sadly, I don't have the ability to give up on a game. If there's an obstacle I have to get over it or else the game has won. I won't give up. This leads to angry words, mostly. When it's really bad I bang my fist in the desk but that's about it.

Actually just yesterday I got really mad when cheesing Crotas End in Destiny with my Hunter. It's piss easy with Titan and Warlock but the Hunter is so god damn bad when it comes to jumping (the class that has the most agility no less) that I just couldn't make the jump. I did it in the end, thanks to my inability to give up...

Mortal Kombat Trilogy.

I ended up breaking the disc in tiny pieces. Then proceeded to do the same with the disc case. Then gathered all the pieces and set them gloriously on fire.

Totally. Worth. It.

There was this dragon boss in Odin Sphere for the PS2. I tried for hours to beat it and it always killed me. I cursed and cursed and clenched fists and punched walls and stuff, until I figured I should level up and come back. When I did, I beat it on the first try. I felt like an idiot.

Spider Guardian and Quadraxis from Metroid Prime 2 pissed me off so FUCKING MUCH when I was younger. I threw my controller and screamed in a pillow. My big bro beat them for me. However, when I replayed the game some years later, I beat them on my first try lol.

More recently, I would say the Fume Knight in Dark Souls II. I know it's strange but I think he pissed me off more than Ornstein and Smough. I just stopped playing for a while tho, no violence!

CoD 4 on Veteran. That fucking epilogue. I died so many times. At one point I got so pissed I just chucked my glasses and broke them. I eventually beat it but never again.

Broke an Xbox controller fighting this one. Probably a second one too, I threw them enough playing Ninja Gaiden on Xbox. But it was worth every penny. Truly one of the greatest games of that generation. Got about halfway through the game on the hardest difficulty after seeing so few people finished it on it!

F-Zero GX is a good contender for its challenge mode but Nintendo controllers (esp. Gamecube controllers) are hard as rock.

FIFA [Insert year] Online is the worst. I can get sooo pissed after a last minute goal, it's not even funny. I'm quite calm in most other games but i just can't help myself in this game.

I broke a 360 remote because of virtua fighter.
It was not a good day.

I have calmed myself since , but sometimes fighting games online just take me there , i.e cheapass opponents drive me nuts.

I usually stay cool, but I've had a few occasions where I had to step away for a while during playthroughs of the Souls games and online Mario Kart.

Playing Super Sprint on my old Atari ST and getting pipped at the finish line time after time by the AI. I ripped the joystick out of the port and threw it against the bedroom wall. Needless to say it smashed into many many pieces and I have never raged like that since..I think!

Tomb Raider 3 on the PS1. There was an extremely annoying part, where you had to run to a gate before the timer expired and it closed. After trying that a dozen times, I threw the controller to the floor, and smashed it to pieces with a hammer.

the "improvement" crafting in elder scrolls online had me scream so loud a neighbor came and checked on me.

i'm sure there were epic ragers when i was a kid that i don't remember. i remember my best friend literally cried playing mario world... i still know him to this day and in those 20 years later i've never seen him cry since, which is pretty funny. and i remember the stage wasn't even that hard

the last boss of AC1
i was really tired of the game, don't know yet how i managed to finish it
everything was too easy until that old dude, and i was really anxious to just kill him and never touch the game again, but i was stuck at him like for almost three hours until i gave up
damaged my 360 controller and was throwing punches at the wall

next day took me two or three attempts to finish him. :|

at the time everything used to piss the hell out of me, but this one was sorta extreme

GoW1 MP was such a laggy, unbalanced trash that it was extremely frustrating. It's all my friends played though, so it was either that or playing with strangers.

Call of Duty...my teenage years were during 4, MW2 and Black Ops and I used to rage hard playing those games. Everytime you'd shoot someone in the back just for them to somehow turn around and 1 shot you I'd scream curses at the top of my lungs.

I snapped the Black Ops disc in half because the hit detection in that game was such fucking garbage.

Blood Bowl

Leveled up Chaos Warrior with Block and +1 STR has the ball.
Just has to walk 1 more square to make a touchdown
Attempt GO FOR IT (need to roll a D6 and get anything but a 1)
Rolls a 1, falls
REROLL
Rolls a 1 again, falls
Rolls armor, armor passed (Roll 2D6, get 10 or more)
Rolls for damage, dies

Turned off computer in rage.
Yelled
Never played again.

The only game that used to drive me mad, without fail, was 3rd Strike on Street Fighter Anniversary Collection. Playing that online… ho boy.

I even remember the moment I stopped playing it online, 3000 matches (lol) later. I was playing a Makoto who kept doing cr.HP and he did cr.HP three times in a row and every single time, I missed the low parry. And this is a parry I can do in my sleep offline. I was so angry, never been so angry at a game, I knew right there and then I had to stop playing for my own sanity.

Nowadays I'm too old to get really angry although the first human encounter in Alien: Isolation (I'm playing on Hard) definitely got my blood boiling.
