Really debating buying this from amazon, but not sure if its worth it.
Have ps4 in the living room and want it for the master bedroom that isnt too far away. Would be over wifi.
I always "buy" the free games for vita ps3 ps4 ect on playstation plus just incase.
Would I be able to play them all on the pstv with a dualshock 4? Hows the streaming? and one last question, does the ps4 in my living room need to be on, or can it be in rest mode ect?
My tru is trying to get rid of Playstation tv's at $79 for basic and $99 for the deluxe.
Tempted to get one to play Grim Fandango
Anyone know if that game will be compatible?
Just noticed amazon is having the same deal as the user above.
But I really need to know how good streaming is. Im also afraid that say im playing far cry 4 ps tv and I save it, how will that work when I go to load it up on my ps4 in the living room say the next day?

So I can use my dualshock 4's with this correct? I dont need to buy the bundle with the dualshock 3?

Obviously this is going to sound dumb, but when using pstv, are u able to fully turn off the ps4 via pstv when done?
Picked it up yesterday and set it up last night. Didn't actually play games but setup/downloaded/launched and streamed from PS4 a few titles.
Used my old 32gb Vita card and it had all my games on it, deleted the games that didn't work with PSTV and updated the rest. They all looked great for what the device can do based on its power.
I connected to my PS4 in another room, the PS4 is wired and the connection is set from PSTV to PS4 via WIFI. Driveclub (Digital title) and Natural Doctrine (Disc Title) both loaded and ran just fine, only tested it didn't play for long.
The PSTV is on WIFi, as is my Xbox One in the living room. I have a Linksys Range Extender right next to them but they are still on wifi so I can avoid running wires, if things get spotty, I'll switch to wired. I also have a small wireless repeater that plugs into my outlet in the bedroom.
PS4 is in the office where the router is and is wired to the network. The rooms aren't so far from each other so I may try to do the adhoc connection method as well to compare.
All in all if all works out well by weekend, it may be time to get rid of my vita and maybe buy another PSTV for the bedroom.
The reason for all the extenders was really for my older apartment where things were further away and there were more issues in the walls causing signal drops.

I wonder if my home network just sucks for this kind of thing- I have the PS4 wired and the PSTV wireless, in the same room as the PS4 and router, but when I try remote play, it's just awful. Interestingly enough, if I use the PSTV option to drop the connection quality level down, things are even worse.
Come on, Sony. Still waiting for Lumines: Electronic Symphony support and you can have my money.
Except for the xbox one for some reason.
Now that I think about it, I chose the 5ghz for the X1, maybe I'll try the 2.4 network.
I have an AC router, Linksys EA6900. I have my PS4 directly connected to it and it enjoys a great connection.
what memory card size are you guys using with your VitaTV?

I think, someone has written Lumines in JP edition works good. EU/NA version has problems.
Does anyone know of any Playstation/Vita TV enhanced games?
I noticed when I played Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment I was able to use L2 and R2 to control the camera zoom.
Anyone know of any other games that work?
Just as I type this I finally find a list

Freedom Wars?
If the news this weekend at the Freedom Wars conference turns out to be a 1.5 version, I hope being able to use the full DS4 controller is available. I'll buy one for it.
I sent Ubisoft a support claim about getting it to work.
It's weird that when sites that imported that Japanese Vita TV at launch tried NA Lumines it worked fine D:
I can't believe SCEE screwed us over with Duke Nukem, A new release being compatible in one region but not another, lazy.
Freedom Wars afaik doesn't gain anything from being played on Vita TV.
Other than a more comfortable controller and playing it on the big screen.
So the DS4 works wirelessly with the PSTV right? Also, is it possible to be logged in to a Vita and a Vita TV or is the TV treated as a Vita?
Thinking of picking this up along with a 64 GB card (which will be for my Vita, and its 32GB would go to the TV). One question, would it be possible to take out my Vita memory card and plug it into the VTV and the installed games playable?
It really could benefit from L3/R3 and L2/R2. Sad![]()
I tried having seperate memory cards for VTV and Vita and it was just a pain in the ass since more retail games save to memory card and not cartridge so had to constantly upload save to PS+ and download save when I wanted to switch back and forth. Also having to download all my DLC over again was annoying especially since this was around PSN outage. Decided to just share my 32gig between them and made sure the home screens matched (it WILL wreck your order unless you keep them in the same spots)
Yeah I hate having shoot and whip both be on R D:
So many times I accidentally shoot when I mean to whip cause I'm still holding L.
Enabled game mode on the TV?
Also the LAN plugs don't like anything else in their sockets, introduces noise which drops the speed. Some makers, like d-link for one, have a setup programming or monitor, so you can see the speed they're linked at.
When I had mine in a multisocket I only got 11mbps, on its own that goes up to 51mbps, which is still way way less than the rated plug speed of 100mbps thanks to old wiring, but its more than enough for rp.
So it's possible to share the mem card? Just one question though, what do you mean by making sure the home screens match?
Haven't got a clue what happened there.
But anyway, how about that shitty compatibility huh?
EU Danganronpa 2 working fine on EU PSTV but having to import US Danganronpa 1...
...that's just unprofessional for a company like Sony.
When Steins;Gate releases later this year and it has issues with PSTV... I'll be disappointed to say the least.
Just checking in on this thread, embarrassing that this is still an issue. I'd buy one of these things if the compatibility list wasn't such a joke.
IMO mess with PS TV is incredible. EU version od Danganronpa 1 doesn't work, but NA yes in...EU PS TV. JP Lumines works, NA/EU not. Soul Sacrifice not, but Delta yes!? Do something with this sh...Sony.
Still waiting for patch to Tearaway, Wipeout and Uncharted, hopeless.
All your bubbles in the same position, minus the exclusive ones.
Vita TV has the 5 in the notification and the Ethernet icon
Vita has no notifications and Wifi Icon

Wait a minute, Kolma how did you remove the stupid "Featured" tab in your PSTV live area?

5Ghz is great when it works but doesn't go through walls as well as 2.4. 2.4 is often better at a range/with obstruction.
Firmware updated, right? Remoteplay used to be bad, pretty good after the firmware update (months ago but the stock firmware probably doesn't have it)...can't see why ethernet would have much lag regardless of enviornment...though I'm not sure if powerline adapters introduce lag

On the router or the Vita TV? I dare say both. But will check again for another update.
This is perhaps the most pointless device released in a long time in the industry. Originally labeled as Vita TV, it turns out that only plays a handful of Vita titles...ok.
Hopefully it bombs as hard as it did in Japan so we don't see Sony wasting their time and money in a similar product.
