Forza Motorsport 6 Announced for Xbox One

My body is READIEST!

Can't wait to see what can they achieve with a better SDK, better development toolkit, no-kinect, and small CPU performance boost and most important of all... with Forza6 NOT being a launch title.

I really, really, cannot wait. I am a sucker for Forza

as excited as i am, i do hope they are revamping the game a bit. i love me some forza, but i wouldnt mind if they tried out some new ideas rather than just giving us mostly the same game with a few new tracks, cars, and physics and graphics tweaks. options for longer races, pits, and qualifying should be a given at this point.

I can't wait to play this game. I love forza motorsports series, and I'm interested to see how the upgraded the engine is and not to forget if they I hope the sound of the cars will be like driveclub.

I'm more into the horizon Forzas but I love this guys passion, he always makes me want to play the mainline Forzas.

He really loves what he does.

He's a self confessed physics geek. He's a martial artist. Studied comparative religion.

He also said way back that he basically wanted to take on the world by expanding the Forza brand. Now we have Horizon and Motorsport and by the sounds of it, perhaps an F1 or pure rallyesque type of game could come as well..

Beardawalt for prez.

In an ideal world Microsoft would have the ability to use Xbox Music and then snap it, but minimize snap, so it just plays music in the background.

Or Forza connecting to Xbox Music.

I did that with snap and it sucked, would always want a full screen experience. I eventually gave up and just played it with music muted and played my own stuff externally :/

Yeah that what annoys me about it, its a good music experience just a shitty visual one, there should be a way to play it in the background.

Don't disrespect Master Beardwalt!

I've had the game since day one. Haven't spent a dime on any accelerators or tokens or any of that nonsense. Have over 16 million CR from just playing the season, and signing up for the free rewards.

I've actually recently dived back into racing games full bore now with FH2 and Driveclub as well, going so far as to finally build a full on cockpit/rig (threw a 10 inch sub and a couple buttkickers in there to give the games the proper 'oomph') and to my surprise, Forza 5 came out on top simply due to the sound design. The audio added a completely new dimension that I had been totally unaware of until then. It's really second to none.

To each their own. Personally, I found the in-your-face obtrusiveness of the microtransactions at launch to be a shameful display of greed, no two ways about it. I'm somewhat ok with MTs as long as they are just bonus content that doesn't impact the rest of the game. But when the grind to unlock cars/tracks and even the leveling system is artificially extended as an impetus to purchase short-cuts and those MT short-cuts nullify the "satisfying grind" then its not OK. I believe this is the very definition of "soulless" that gets thrown around...it makes the game experience dull and paint-by-the-numbers. It very much was a free-to-play model with a retail price tag.

If the broken in-game economy was actually fixed then I'd like to check it out again. Even as I hated on the overabundance of MTs I was able to recognize there was a good game at the core of it.

Thanks. I think Forza would benefit more from Blur style game than a Rally style of F1 personally.
I'm undecided on "Forza Rallisport", but I really hope they stay away from the F1 license. I've never been interested in F1 games, and I doubt I'm going to start any time soon.

(Forza) PGR, please. :)

Why is that so bad?

Just not a fan of some of MS business practices over the years and some of the things that have contributed to the industry. I don't have a hard boycott on them, but I do try and avoid their products where possible. So yeah, I can either have driving games that hit my sweet spot or my principles. That's why I'm sad.

Don't expect anyone else to agree, not trying to convince anyone, just my position.

Excited to see more, let's hope they just dial back (remove) those crap micro transactions from the game and get everything else just right!

A new Forza subfranchise has to be "Forza Kart Racing", then they have the whole spectrum of racing games covered.

If you are being serious and not joking, I think they should have some sort of futuristic racer. Something maybe sci-fi like. Akin to, but doesn't need to be just like, Wipeout and FZero.
I played a lot of Wipeout on my PSP.

Wipeout style would be good but how do real life cars work with it.

How about Forza Watersport?

I'm definitely more of a Horizon fan, but there's always a place for the FM series in my house. It'll be exciting to see how this looks and hopefully we get some weather effects and night-time racing. As others have mentioned, some good music is a must, easily the most disappointing thing about FM imo, but I'd also hope that MS will have updated Xbox Music to play in the background by the time this drops.

1 Buy an XB1
2 Only buy Forza games
3 Help drive down the systems attach rate
4 ???????
5 Profit

I played a lot of Wipeout on my PSP.

They wouldn't fit the universe and IP.

A kart racer would be amazing.

Interested to see what Turn10 can do with an improved SDK, freed up Kinect reserve and extra CPU power compared to their launch product. Forza 5 was quite an achievement just a shame that they messed up the 2x MSAA implementation.

As for the third game in the Forza franchise I personally hope for a futuristic racer in the sense of F-zero. I'm not really waiting on a kart racer.

Why not go the whole hog and buy a used XB1 and preowned Forza titles? You won't even appear on MS' radar :p

I wonder if this frees up space for more announcements at E3? I thought they might have a light year because they announced so much 2016 stuff last year, nson might want to pad it out with safe titles. But seems not. They already have a pretty good 2015 fall lineup though, not sure what else I'd want in it to avoid overcrowding. maybe MS will discover the other three quarters of the year?

Absolutely. We should be at the stage now where we can have a fully customisable career. At least an option to opt in or out of endurance races during your career would be great. Tracks like Nürburgring Nordschleife, Bathurst and of course Le Mans all have endurance races associated with them. At least give us the option.

Hopefully with games like Project Cars and Assetto Corsa(I have both) on the horizon they will draw some influences in terms of their race weekends. I understand not all people want the hardcore, 3-day race weekend, but just give us the option.

but I thought this gen consoles were so easy to code for, all the flop juice was easily squeezed out of the orange, later iterations of a game will not do much better than the first one.

So FH6 won't look any better than FH5 does. Right?

Why not?

Do you remember forza 2 vs 3? It was a complete graphical upgrade. I think there might be a team renewing the graphical engine every 4-6 years. Isn't turn 10 a Big studio?

I think we should have a city driver (forza gotham) (playground) alternanting between the other 2 and have a 3 year launch window instead of 2.

I dont think we played the same game man.

All tracks were unlocked at the get go.
All cars were unlocked at the get go.
Rental Cars were patched pretty quickly.
Prices and earnings were patched as well.
Having the CR price and a token price right underneath it.....didnt/doesnt feel like "IN YOUR FACE OBTRUSIVE"

How could you call the game a free-to-play when everything on disk could be gotten without spending a dime?
Did it take a long time initially to get the most expensive car in the game, yeah, gamers complained the game was patched quickly......so why are we still talking about the economy?

Whats peoples beef with Microtransactions if they arent anywhere near mandatory and definitately arent intrusive, its a line of text under the price of the car....how is that so intrusive as to insult the whole game and call it a free to play.

Did you really play Forza Motorsport 5 or are you just basing your opinions off second hand accounts?
