That's not how things have been going though, number of entrants isn't the sole factor in determining what spot the game get. Not to mention EVO have a responsibility to reach for/push other communities too.
Anyway, with NRS pushing for MK9, MS with KI, Sony/Capcom will want a spot for SFV stuff and then there's SFIV(and maybe UMvC3!), I doubt there'd be room for more than one Smash game one Sunday. Also, Nintendo will probably want SmashU to get more exposure than Melee.

My point was that others don't reach that level because they don't put in the time or effort. For example Mango has only been streaming for the past 6 months or so and has around 850 subs and 26K+ followers. I think it'd be kind of silly to suggest other players couldn't do the same or much better by streaming regularly and having decent production values. But for whatever reason, the FGC personalities that have had decent success when they started streaming just dropped it and their viewers jump to the next stream.

It's gotten the highest viewer count the last few years running and Marvel hype is an EVO tradition. Street Fighter and Marvel will always be no-brainers.
Until ChrisG wins an EVO, yes UMVC3 should be at EVO.
It's not even a question whether the game should be at this year's EVO, the question should be asked about EVO 2016. If it's still drawing the viewers and players then it will get play at EVO ... period.
when is sf5 being released? wonder if evo would have both usf4 and sf5.

Top 20 doesn't look too bad but Louffy definitely deserves to be in the top 10 and I think Gamerbee should be out. I don't think Haitani belongs close to the top 20 because he almost never competes. Just my opinion though.

However USF4 is still relatively new because the last iteration just came out. I feel like USF4 will last until at least 2016 EVO assuming SFV comes out early 2016 (according to the rumor) but after that it's anyone's guess.

For the first year, definitely(which I assume is EVO 2016). USF4 will have a sharp drop, but it's not going to SFxT overnight. Plenty of people will still play the game for a little while after SF5 is out. The year after is a different story though. The current crop of USF4 players would have to prove to EVO that they're still playing the game.

If you're talking about the USB version, those are just branded for PC/Mac, but they're also PS3 compatible by default because the PS3 is pretty lenient with generic USB controllers.
They have identical build quality to the PS2 version, but with the original button layout (no Select button).

I had a dream last night that K-Brad and I were getting ready for High School, and as we walked out my front door, there's some guys installing a Pawn Shop across the street from my house in our suburban cul-de-sac. At 4 AM. And I'm supposed to be the only one here. Took me a good 45 minutes before I decided to open it.
The worst part is, while I was deciding whether or not there was a deranged murderer outside my door, light kept intermittently flooding my room. Joke's on you, aliens. I've seen enough movies to know not to look out my window.
