Majora's Mask New 3DS LE does not include game or Adapter in USA

A mod should change modify the OP since it seem it might be intentionally leaving out critical information such as the fact that it cost the same as the regular 3dsxl.

"environmental waste"

If I facepalmed any harder, I'd have to call an ambulance. This is the same company that has consistently been ranked last in Greenpeace's "Guide to Greener Electronics" due to their refusal to publish any records.

I think you hit your head harder than you thought, because there's no real correlation between the two.

The lack of AC adapter seem odd as fuck, like other have said what if this is your first 3DS? What if I want to trade in my old 3DS for a new one? Can't understand this decision.

To the person about printers not including USB cables, I find that stupid ass fuck too. God damn you HP/Dell/etc.

Eh? 90% of printers nowadays are wireless so you really don't even need a USB cable. There's a big difference between a proprietary charging cable vs a universal connector cable.

The lack of a game doesn't matter since near every Nintendo special 3DS has been like that. That's no big deal.

The AC adapter being gone is just bonkers. Even more so because its standard practice by Nintendo in other countries apparently. It not consumer friendly at all and no other company to my knowledge sells non-battery powered electronics without providing the necessary components to power it. I don't even see a reason for it honestly. I can see this being a huge pain in the ass for any parent trying to buy this system for their kid.

Kind of a cross post, but relevant and hilarious.

Play the new Monster Hunter™ 4 Ultimate game in serious style with this themed system, emblazoned with art inspired by the game. The game comes pre-installed, so you can just plug and play!

Note: AC Adapter not included.

Oh well. Still bought the fuck out of the MM Edition and 2 MM Limited Edition Games.

64 Zelda's got me.

Erm OP, Majora's Mask comes pre-installed on the Majora's Mask Edition 3DS.

The same way that Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will come pre-installed on the Monster Hunter Edition 3DS.

I'm willing to bet my left nut everyone who has posted in this thread already has a compatible charger

It's still a dumb decision especially for cases where you have parents buying systems for their kids. Imagine getting a New 3DS for Christmas or something without a charger and having to wait to get one.

Like yeah, I own one, so I'm not too bothered by it personally, but it's not a consumer friendly decision. It just makes things needlessly complicated.

Here's an absolutely insane solution guys but stick with me here. It requires clicking a button, $5, and then plugging something into your 3DS a few days later.

Monster Hunter comes preinstalled (at a higher cost of course no one's expecting the game to be free) and Majora's doesn't? Jesus fuck Nintendo

Not in the USA

I remember buying a european 3ds XL for the kid of a good friend of mine and it didn't have the AC Adapter in... SUUUUCKED for the kid, lol.

I splurged and spend $3 more for the OEM version. But I saved another dollar by ordering the slow shipping to put towards a Kindle Book. Look at me penny pinching!!

Those 3rd party chargers (which aren't even licensed) that have problems constantly. Gotcha.

No it's cool, we should continue to encourage game companies to continue to find new ways to nickel and dime gamers.

New Wii U now available, only $399!*

*AC adapter, HDMI cable, motion sensor, game and controller sold separately

I am 100% ok with this. I would be buying the physical LE anyway so I'm glad I dont have to pay for the game twice. I also have several chargers and docks already so no problem there.

Here's a crazier solution, Nintendo should include a freaking AC adapter with their product that requires one.

The fact that the charger is so cheap makes it even worse, it indicates how cheap it is to make and include with the system. You know...like every mobile electronic device ever conceived? It indicates just how cheap Nintendo can go.

My charger broke and instead of buying a new one I was gonna just upgrade to a N3DS and now I learn they don't even come with chargers? Absolutely ridiculous.

The official Nintendo ones are $8 on Amazon with free shipping

I'm not too broken up about the MM N3DS not having a charger simply because the chargers themselves are pretty cheap. If this was a Sony system the chargers would probably cost $25 and you'd have to spend another $30 on a proprietary memory card.

No, not everyone has an extra DS laying around and if they do they will most likely trade it up for a New 3DS and you have to trade in the adapter with it.

Come on dude. That is not the official one. It is being sold by a third party. Are you dudes being purposeful obtuse or what?

Are you seriously comparing the price of a controller to a charger?

Is there... a defense force for no chargers in the box? lol

That has been stupid as shit ever since they implemented the policy in EU and JP.

It's definitely stupid, but chargers are only 10 bucks at most. It's stupid but its not the end of the world or anything for me.

That 2 dollar difference

I'm cool with it not coming with the game, actually. I wasn't interested when I thought I would have to get a digital copy of Majora.

No charger is straight bullshit though. Who the fuck has even hear of a device you buy that doesn't come with SOMETHING to allow you to charge it?

Haha so a third party can't sell Nintendo products? Guess Best Buy has been selling me chinese knock offs for years. It says "by Nintendo" in the title it's just sold by, you know, a store, like Amazon, but not Amazon, but still a store. Get it yet?

It's what people are accustomed to, and change(s) can tick off a person or two.

It's not a change, it's the fact that you have to buy a console and a changer rather than Nintendo doing what almost everyone else does and packing one in. Like how can you even equate that to being what "people are used to"?

The lack of a charger gives me the most consternation. The lack of a game is more acceptable because the price is in line with regular models. Even if an additional charger is cheap I firmly believe items essential to the device's operation should be included in the box.
