Amazing! Game looks sooooooooo great, looks like the sci-fi game of my dreams
I hope it sells well
Seriously. Last gen for me was as limp as it could get. There was only mild hype (PSP games would make more excited than PS360Wii games). This gen is heaven in comparison.I feel you. I'm with you in the trenches in the FF threads. Nothing inspires more hyperbole one way or another like Final Fantasy. That being said, I'm all aboard both hype trains for this and FFXV in a way I haven't been for a game in years.
Yeah... I quite likedOh yeah, I really hope this one has some good dungeons since Xenoblade had some really boring ones, the only "dungeons" that I liked werebecause the size and the complexity of the area but some of the previous ones were also massive but really boring (Looking at you Ether Mines and Tephra Cave...)The Mechonis Field and the Central Factory
how can ff15 remind Xenoblade
I single out Xenoblade because it's in the same genre.
FFXV had a rocky development, and now that everything is back on track, The game is looking phenomenal. I'm not taking anything away from the game, but at the same time I see little things that pop out from the trailers that I haven't seen in a FF game before. The characters not only interact with each other [during gameplay] a step above Xenoblade's but now the enormous scale of the environments that was nonexistent in previous games is now front in center in this new version. I'm not saying there wasn't scale before in FF environments, but it used to be sections of decent sized areas. Not a see anywhere go anywhere type of world. Most JRPGS (if any) didn't do this. And FFXIII didn't attempt to this during the previous gen.
Personally I don't see being inspired by, or learning as a bad thing. I wish Xenoblade had FF's modelers, composers, and CG cutscene team. I wish Nintendo would learn how to use high quality voice actors.
I am sorry if it sounds like I'm bashing FF as a whole. I'm really not. It's more Square and their mobile company outlook for the future of their gaming business I'm lashing out more than their recent console efforts itself.
FFXV looks like a return to form and I'm all for it.
It's just that the models really haven't improved much since Xenosaga, which is a shame. The 2D art will be outstanding though, no doubt. Tanaka is aceThe characters do look closer to Xenosaga....that style hasn't aged well but I see the intention
I cannot wait to jump off that cliff.
Dat L’appel du vide!
Anyone remember that GIF of the guy getting into the mech, then the Kill Zone footage shows, then the Xenoblade footage plays backwards? Because these GIFs stomps that Kill Zone one.
This looks great. Do I need to play the previous one to understand this?

The complaining about Xenoblade X's faces is mild in comparison to all the "boy band faggots lolololotrololololol" stupidity about FFXV's characters or the "Vaan is a horrible girlyboy" morons. At this point you guys will need to either get over the faces or not play the game or whatever.
If the game is coming out in April in Japan then it's pretty much done. They're not going to redo their whole face system.
So you'd best come to terms with it.
Its a damn shame how few games we get like this.. jesus this game is like definition of video game. You just cant do all this shit in other games.
for me I thought Xenosaga III nailed it with character in 3D.

But I guess it's different since EP III is not by Tanaka Kunihiko...
So, yeah. like I said before, it's possible to make a better character than the one in the trailer, imo.
Dude, the environments are like, so empty. There should be treasure chest, new items, monster, QTEs, and quests every ten feet. Just like in real life.
The game is confirmed for a 2015 in Europe dude so if it's specifically for this game you might be better waiting,

Obviously it's the natural course to go in certain directions, but nothing helps a developer get a grasp of where they want to go more than finding a developer that has already done it.

Well, the world is more dense outside of the US. I am opening a treasure chest as I am typping this
That being said, huge empty worlds with little to no lore / story inside of them is something that I can't stand in RPGs. The craze with " making it bigger" is nosensical. "Make it more compelling" would be a far better approach when designing a world, which is why I am pumped after seeing this trailer. Xenoblade's map oozes with character and style, let us all hope that there are interesting things to do and meat behind this style!![]()
People are complaining it's looking empty again.......
Wasn't that the same complaint pre E3 then the Treehouse demos showed how wrong that was yet it's a complaint again -_-
Almost feels like some people expecting every trailer to be a nature documentary or something of every creature all bundled together in the same field.
Hardware capabilities aside, I actually think the art style is far more cohesive in this game than what we've seen in XBC on Wii.
As cool as XBC was, it felt very clashy-clashy. XCX looks like a real place in comparison. Who would've thought they'd actually be able to step it up to this extent? Monolith Soft is brilliant.
Xenoblade C X had Rikiya Koyama bro. How can it be bad on VA?
