first Zelda collectible that exist that I will miss .Went with MM. Simply because, I'm a big MM fan. And also, I have the Gold Link Between Worlds one. So I said fuck it, just stuck with what I already had. I wasn't a big fan of the Red, and really wanted Blue badly. Black is okay.
Monster Hunter one is really bold. Very interesting design. Stands out the most tbh.
I think someone claimed that Nintendo or GS said that, the MM XL was not limited. Or rather, it wasn't a one time pressing thing. So maybe it will be more like ALTW where there will be plenty of them a month after it's out and it's still technically a special edition.
I really hope they do. The pre-order situation was poorly executed and it didn't help since the Direct was at 6 AM for PST people, they had even less of a chance to order.

Im a huge zelda fan too sadly I missed the MM LE game though first zelda collectible ill miss... Hoping I can nab one on release day ib store somewhere... The MM n3DS XL isn't exclusive so it should be at a bunch of stores. As long as you keep an eye out come release day you should manage hopefully. I immediately went for the MH4 n3DS because I want the game wherever I go and I wanted that design ever since I saw in announced in Japan. Now if only we had the regular n3DS so I could get those MonHun faceplates...
Also, still no news on Wave 3 release in NA (Canada)? Waiting for Gamestop/EB Games to give me a heads up on my preorders.

Hope today was fruitful for my amiibros! I'm chomping at the bit to get my hands on the next wave.
Yeah they need to just give a solid date and retailers should abide by that date.
I went to Target like every day because it was next to my work. I did end up getting Captain Falcon though so it was worth it.

Yeah I did the same with BB. And when they finally did have little Mac they wouldn't sell to me because they had a different release date then everyone else. So I ran to target and was lucky enough to be there right as they were just putting out the 3 little macs they had. Had I waited would have been out of luck. I don't mind the rarity aspect as much as the uncertainty surrounding the release dates of these things, it definitely makes it difficult to plan ahead.

I feel like there are different dates for different figures and for different stores. I don't get it.. everything was done perfectly on November 21st, 2014. Why are wave 2 & 3 such a mess?!

Pre-ordered Bowser. First Amiibo pre-order and I'm only missing Marth and Villager.
I just assume it's because there were no Amiibo's in the wild before hand so it was easy to hold them all back. Now, it's harder because Amiibo's are out there and probably harder to keep from just being put on shelves right away.

Starting to think this the future Nintendo releases for everything in NA. They botched a bit lately.
Seriously no regular N3ds, lack of gc adapters, amiibo mishaps, supply shortages, no adapter for n3ds in NA. They are either trying to change something or somethings going down we dont know about yet.
Well true, I've never seen them in stores but other than that, they all came out on the same day.

Good thing this one is a christmas gift to me.
Sadly I had the opportunity to get any of the "rares" day 1 and I chose samus. I got a second chance a couple weeks later to get marth and wft and I got link. Poor life choices maaaaan lol.

Is it NOA fucking up the release dates or the retailers?
Cause it seems like everyone is getting their shipments at the same time, but the release dates for each store are all over the place.
I feel like retailers are partially to blame. They seemed to be purposely delaying them last wave despite being fully able to sell them as soon as they got their shipment.I could be wrong but I believe I remember seeing an email from a nintendo rep detailing instructions to retailers, Telling them to put amiibos on the floor when they received them.

Went to Walmart with a friend. We were looking at the games when a guy walks past us with a captain falcon in his hand. I almost had a heart attack. I ran over to the amiibos but alas nothing. I went and asked an employee and he said that they just sold the last 2. Damn if only I went sooner....

I assume that NoA did a poor job reading the market, since they didn't anticipate how well these would sell. Hence them under-shipping and making enough Amiibos to begin with (with each territory). Then them also discontinuing some etc.
TBH I never know who to blame, so it's prob just best to say Nintendo in general (as a lot of decisions happen in Japan). Although it does seem NoA has some say about their own market (to an extent).
And yeah, in terms of shipments being delayed, no idea who's fault that is. But I still don't understand why Nintendo can't do a better job communicating with their consumers in terms of a general release dates, or a release date for pre-orders. Or maybe pre-order stuff is 100% on the retailers (in terms of what day they can start opening them. Not sure if they need permission from Nintendo). If that's the case, then retailers have 100% failed people. Maybe all of this is on the retail side of things. I do know that, retail relies on Nintendo to give them shipping info (when they can get them to them, and Nintendo also sets the sale date). So that is why I'm putting some blame on Nintendo, as I have to assume Retailers to some extent, wait for Nintendo for that info.
Either way, this whole thing has been a mess. It's poorly run, and there is almost never any info. Just kind of happens. I've never seen something this bad before. So that is why I assume, Nintendo partially plays a role in this having issues. But again, maybe I'm wrong.

Hey guys, just FYI I do not live in Canada. I do want Rosalina and have limited options to obtain her, but the situation isn't as dire as it is for our friends north of the border. I appreciate you adding me to that list, so cool of you, but in all fairness I should be removed.
