Besiege - Physics based vehicle construction goes medieval

I find it a bit cheap to just steal the music from the trailer of another highly popular gaming franchise but still props to the almost unheard-of Polish composer, one of the best original music pieces of 2007

as someone who loved Banjo and even Cargo, this game is made for me
Well the devs did say the trailer was "inspired by the awesome Halo Believe ad". Didn't Bulletstorm do something similar?

Really love the art style and presentation. Very striking and unique, great stuff. And the gameplay as well looks pretty damn fun.

Very nice. Bought. This would be a fun one to see in VR. I'm a big fan of physics games like this.

So basically an Nvidia exclusive game. No thanks.

They do mention DirectCompute, so maybe not?
"FLEX is written in C++/CUDA, but a DirectCompute version is in the works"
It all depends on how they do the licensing I guess.

so 5 maps in, this is really good so far, lots of moving mechanical parts that let you build all sorts of crazy machines. I just need to figure out how to better protect my wheels as they always come off way to easily, especially when I try to drive over a destroyed wall

Ok guys, I got an extra key for BESIEGE for a special GAFer.

In order to win it, quote this post and give me your best concept in MS paint for a killing machine that also does the flower hedges properly. I'll pick my favorite if there's more than one entry and be back tomorrow to see who won.

Honourable mention to these walking tanks from the Lost Odyssey intro cutscene:

(No MS paint from me, I've already got a key)

This game is going to be the source of some amazing GIFs

It is playable and quite fun. There is a bug like undo and redo button is not working properly and add a mess to my creation instead. Other than that, the game is working just fine.

15 level campaign is a bit short but it is only $6.99 and they promise a lot more in the future. (Seem like there are 4-5 more sets of campaign from the start screen and There is moon map that will be available in the future.)

I have played for 10 levels. I think the level design is too simple(however, it is only the first set of campaign.). There is not many block in this game yet but I can create many crazy things from them. I hope they will add more kind of block and weapon in the future. This alpha also lack of tutorial. I have to find out myself how thing work in this game.
Is it touchscreen friendly? Wouldn't mind playing this on the go with my tablet.

I am madly in love with this siege machine nonsensical mayhem.

"Crossbows and Catapults" you have gloriously arisen from the kitchen floor haze of my halcyon lost Saturdays.

Sorry, what does this mean?

Been playing this for about an hour now. Its really fun, haven't found one bug yet. At this price i wouldn't be disappointed if this was the full game.

Ok I have a little problem. I paid for both through Amazon pay, I got the confirmation that my card was charged through HumbleBundle. But I never got a link for the download or a code for the download of either yet? I thought I'd have it by now but I do not.

Does anyone know what I'm missing? Where do I get my codes?

I used Amazon and got an email with the subject "Your Besiege order is ready" from HumbleBundle which had the link to the download page. Maybe it's in your junk folder?

oh my.

And people were asking in the other thread which AAA game would be the one to focus on destructibility. The game we sought has been under our noses the whole time! And it was an indie title on Greenlight. Of course.

Seriously though, this looks pretty fun.

Nope I got two e-mails that said "Humble Bundle has charged you $6.99" as a header.

Looks like this inside, both of them

Very frustrating I want to play this already and give out a free code to a GAFer :(

Yeah, that sucks - maybe the bank held it thinking it was a duplicate charge and you'll need to call them. I'd try the contact@humblebundle.com first I guess

Nice! Here's how I did that one:

Mwahaha
(video)

The tower zaps you if you get close and will zap the bomb if it has the chance. I managed to time it properly in this one.

I have my wheels set up with tread controls - separate keys for front and back on each side. (Numpad 1/4 for left, 5/2 for right)

I don't think this turned out the best but I saved it in PNG for max quality anyway. Simple concept - cutting blades on the front for the troops and a nice double column of spinning blades to trim the hedges and leave them perfectly straight.

And yes I know Paint has text tools.

whoops - didn't mean to DP it

haha, lovely. I'm trying to sort out the key problem (read above), but if you're the only entry by tomorrow you'll have the code by default the second I resolve the issue with Humble Bundle.

Haven't used MS Paint in years, so my drawing skills are...ah, somewhat rusty. It looked much more elegant in my head

The main feature are the rotating arms at the front, each lined with saw blades, equally adept at shaving delicate blades of long unkept grass as they are at separating heads from the delicate necks of the fools that dare to charge your approaching death machine. The rotating arms allow for an adjustable cutting width, perfect for a lawn or battlefield of any size, whichever suits your home and gardening needs. Two cannons on the center cross beams provide long range protection while the sides are protected by more saw blades and outward facing flamethrowers to clear the unwanted weeds along fencelines, along with the fence. A pair of wheels in the back provide extra balance, to counter the weight of the cutting arms in the front

Green is hedges. Hedge-cutters have an adjustable height. The rest should be pretty self-explanatory.

this uh, thing is just scary :o

wish I could build machines of that size but the game becomes nearly unplayable on my laptop if I use too many parts
Scary was pretty much what I was going for. ^ ^

I think I have like 15 fps with that machine... I tried to, hum, upgrade it a bit... ( a catapult in the back, 2 more flame trower on the side.... what can I say, I like being prepared ) but I had 2-5fps when using the flammethrowers.

I'm so impressed with the variety of builds that can already be made! This looks so fun, thanks for the information. Bought!

That looks awesome. Definitely going to give the Alpha a try at that price.

You guys all were great, obviously, but goddamn cluto. That is some epic MS Paint talent. I'm going to PM you the key.

Thanks for participating guys!

Nice! It doesn't lose the momentum that way. Try turning up the speed in the wheel settings if you haven't already.

I took a shot at it. Didn't quite get it, but it's entertaining at least.

It's surprisingly hard to make a good scoop that's arrow-proof due to the weight of the armour. Maybe some of the powered parts would work better there since those seem to be immune.

wow amazing I didn't even think about someone trying to copy these designs in game!

I'm going to try Orca's!
