I don't actually know, but it can't be that bad, can it? Though I have to warn you, the Media Markt is charging 14,99.

To fully pay our Wave 3 preorders. Basically gives you a better chance of them holding it for you rather than sell it to someone else.

Not any AmiiboGAF. One person got 1 extra for trades. Most of the people who bought extras are not GAF and are scalpers. Dang it.....

There were two other people buying one of each apiece while I was there and I only took one Lucario; none of us wanted to be greedy and stuck with that.

UK gaffers. If anyone has a spare Rosalina amiibo or sees one anywhere in store or online lemme know and I'll buy it from you. Not had much luck finding her since my order was cancelled by shopto.
I called my Toys'R'Us yesterday querying amiibo and they said their deliveries were today. Going in store today nothing was put out and when I called afterwards they said something about a delay or something(?) not sure if this is just my store. But the new ones aren't on the site yet, maybe tomorrow, but a lot of amiibo have also been removed from the site from wave 1 and 2 so I don't know either.

I was about to give up on my collection, but today I was walking near a department store and decided to have a look. They were receiving the third wave... The biggest department store in a big city and they only received one of each. Of course, I got them all (except Rosalina, which was not there).
Now I'm even more stressed to get the ones from the second wave without buying from evil scalpers. Do you think Nintendo will provide the retailers with more stock in the future??

Yeah I asked someone but got no response. The thread moved crazy fast during that time so I can understand. The manager has to override Lucario's street date so I'm sure the manager wouldn't have let them buy more anyways. I think Toon Link, Bowser, and Sheik were fair game though.

Their price match policy should allow $12.99 to target. On 1/25-1/31 they have an Amiibo sale at TRU for 4 for $44

A friend of mine in another state who works at TRU also had similar appearances of Wave 3; apparently the store had actually put them out and sold just about all the new ones out.
Extra Shiek were sold, and I was told by them that the Lucario were similarly register locked like the one here in Ohio. They also got "some extra Lucario, but very little", so ehh.

I see it's $12.99 at amazon... but I really wished I preordered the whole wave 3 earlier at Bestbuy. I would have got em for $10.39 each after gamer's unlocked discount.

Yeah, I only got 1 extra Lucario given that I could probably use it for trade in the future if it's hard to get. I dunno. I was going to buy a few of each, but honestly, given TRU's prices, plus me shipping them to people, it would probably cost each person 20$ minimum, and the only one out the ones that TRU had that I think is going to be hard to get is Sheik and they only had 3 in stock, so I didn't bother with it.
All that said, I really wonder why some people even bother selling some of these after market. I mean, let's look at Captain Falcon. If you're lucky, you can get 20 or 25, minus the cost to actually buy it (13-15$) plus shipping and fees of Ebay or whatever, you might make, I dunno, 5-8$ on it. Why do people even bother?

I live in Frankfurt (Germany), and today i decided to visit my retailer of trust where I got all my amiibo so far, not having to pre-order a single one. Originally i planned to just go there tomorrow on the official release day of wave 3 to basically throw money at Nintendo, but because my plan is to collect the whole Smash Bros. Collection and Rosalina has been sold out on amazon.de for weeks, I thought to myself better safe than sorry. And my gut was right, in the store i find myself looking at this:
The guy that just unpacked these things could not tell me if they would receive additional stock of her. He told me shipments come in randomly and what i see is all they have in terms of wave 3. I guess Nintendo really underestimated the demand.
And here they are, the lucky 6 i took home with me. Raising the population of my shelf to 24. I uploaded a album with closeups of them in their boxes here, as i had no time to unbox them yet.
For those interested, this is a picture of the whole amiibo section. Excuse my inability to shoot panoramic pictures.

After Toys R Us told me they weren't getting them in till the 1st I stopped by and picked up a Toon Link, Bowser and Shiek. Lucario is dated the 30th now.
Just received my cancellation as well.
I used PayPal, so immediate payment was required. At least I'm $50 richer than I was an hour ago!

Oh yeah all good. And yeah I don't get reselling. So much effort for such little profit. Even holding a rare for months just to POSSIBLY sell at a big profit might not be worth the risk.

Picked up the Bowser and Captain Falcon that my gf had held for me at TRU until I got off work. They both look so damn good. The detail of Bowser's scales and on his shell is impressive.
Still got that Lucario in the stock room with my name on it. An employee said the computer has a date of Jan. 30 for release, but another employee over the walkie-talkie said they're going to wait until Feb. 1 for some reason.

You're good. Apparently Bowser/Sheik/Toon Link are being sold early at some Toys R Us.
The one TRU that I went to this afternoon only had one Sheik, a couple of Toon Links, and a bunch of Bowser. The second TRU was not selling any wave 3 yet... What are you looking for in particular? Will probably head back tomorrow to see if there is anything out again.

Yep, the guy did say though that they just came in about 30 minutes ago. Those three are not Street dated so they're just putting them out.
