That's a good thing, your TRU probably has competent employees that know how to read street date lists so everyone can have a fair chance at getting them.
From what I've read today, it looks like the whole company forgot to read the training manual.
Honestly dude at the counter was an OLD school hardcore gamer. We got into a deep conversation about Nintendo in general and how they are handling products actually suggested after I told him I know a bunch of people looking for them. He suggested that Neogaf although hes not a member start a petition that Nintendo should support there products and gave me case references to old things that happened back i the day with Colecovision and a keyboard attachment they promised and due to backlash eventually released but never supported. And other examples including things like kinect and ps3 OtherOS support. Dude was incredibly knowledgable tbh. And I could've prolly talked to him for awhile lol.
Only defending because I work there but its really only the people who care about amiibos take care of their stores stock. There are two of us at my store that try and keep everything good. I actually had to call to check to see if my store got them today and told the guy working to put them in the back before they were even sold.

The workers just received the paper with new street dates for those Amiibo from the corporate recently. They specifically requested everyone to put up Toon Link, Sheik and Bowser on Jan 22, 2015.
I saw the paperwork myself because he was pointing at Lucario's release date when I asked him when they are going to release Lucario. Basically workers surly know how to read the street date lists since I did saw street date for those 3 characters had Jan 22, 2015 as street date on their street date list.
Did you check new memo or receive any street date from corporates?

I spoke with a GS employee that said if they get them they are suppose to put them on the shelves same day.
Can't fault them for doing their job. Maybe TRU has the same policies.
As of yesterday all figures in wave 3 are for 2/1. My store has received Bowser, Lucario, and Shiek. I work tomorrow morning and will check again to see if any things changed.

The confusion regarding this line in NA is legendary. Been collecting figures for years and never ran across anything like this before.
Pokemon would be a close second. When Jakks owned the license, distribution was out of whack and many places didn't even GET some of the figures in period! And yet, those ones were plentiful in Canada, but not in some metropolian US areas. Go fig(ure).

I can easily see the Animal Crossing series getting the Amiibo treatment, along with Codename STEAM having some figurines based off of the main characters. The upcoming Star Fox for the Nintendo Wii U is a sure-fire bet.
By the way, for those who live in the Vancouver/Burnaby area, did you guys have any luck with finding the Amiibo's from Wave 3?

Yeah those were not fun hunting times. Tomy now is better for the most part, but even then my area always seems to be the last place where new ones show up at :/ That's why I'm not surprised with Miibos being the same way.
Yep I'm screwed on Sheik. This is why I wish the release dates were strictly on weekends so that I would at least have a chance getting one. Unless they aren't put on shelves until right before I would arrive at 2:40, they will be gone well in the morning.

I am pretty sure they do, wasn't there a picture of his amiibo display? It had Bowser, Shulk, Ike, and Lucario. That was almost a month ago I think.
That's what I thought too, which is why I wasn't sure about that tweet. He is probably just doing it for the thrill.
