Part of me wants to flip them the bird and be done with it.
However, I really do not see Falcon, Ike, Marth, Robin, and Lucinia getting another figurine. So I want to get those that will probably never get another figure.
So the collector in me wants to put up with the BS and get all the figurines.

Yeah it's also part of the rarity BS. I can't be arsed to deal with that.

And honestly? I'm still bitter about no AC adapter with the new 3ds. Nintendo really soured me.
 
Here's Wave 4 on the production line:
They're CRITISIZING our warehouses? F these toy collecting don't want to grow up toys r them f'ers! Wave 4 will never go on preorder AND EVERYTHING IS RARE! Hahaha how you like my apples now suckers?

-White haired dude? Wonder what he uses that jagged sword for? Don't trust that guy!
-Ness? Who's this stupid kid? He must get his butt whooped
-PacMan? Game sucked when I was a kid! I couldn't beat the first level so it sucks!
-charryzord? Freaking orange dinosaur?
-Wario? Mario wannabe! Bowser is the only bad guy I care about! Wario never kidnaps peach so he weak!

But that's the purpose of fair distribution and street dates :/

I mean, at least when places break street date, pretty much all of the retailers at least HAVE it in.
 
Should we take the Mario Party bundle going up on Amazon as a sign that Wave 4 / Super Mario line preorders will be up soon?

Also I really hope there aren't more store exclusives, especially for Wave 4 since there are only six characters. It would be even more worrisome since it would imply the Wave 3 exclusives may have a short life on shelves.

I doubt that would happen (Kmart doesn't have money to afford any exclusives :p They've always clearancing out their games!)

Let's hope this is the first and last time we have to deal with this BS.

I mean, I don't know for sure, but given that TRU is openly advertising that they have them before anybody else, it seems like it was some deal with Nintendo. Who knows for sure though.

NOA never really made an official street date, and I doubt that TRU just *happened* to get them all early. This seems very planned and deliberate.

But didn't that Gamestop memo basically say that the street date was lifted for them? So basically they can start selling as soon as they get them in.

The thing that makes me angry with this is that you placed my most wanted Wave 4 at Kmart. A place I don't have because they were too stupid to buy storage in Alaska.

Had to look up BJ's Whole Sale. Not one around here and only in 15 states. Scalpers would have a field day.

Too many of these are going to be used in a lot of games- the FE ones can't be exclusive for that reason, Wario you wouldn't want to limit either. Meaning Ness, Pacman and Charizard are gonna be exclusive. I'm gonna guess TRU gets Char, Walmart gets Pacman, Gamestop gets Ness.

That's what I'm saying. Stores can sell them as soon as they get them in. TRU probably paid more (or gave more shelf space, advertising) to NOA to have them shipped there a week before everybody else.

Again, just speculation, but it seems to fit.
 
After my Marth and Pit come in, I'll be pretty content with my collection. If I were not able to get another amiibo, I would survive, but man, Ness, Shulk, and Rosalina look NIIIIICCCEE.

Yeah I get it, but it is unfair in competition's eyes (and us trying to hunt them down...) to put them out like that. Sure, it is ahead of the date that they were supposed to be in, but still it's a crappy situation :/

I honestly just wish that they had specific release dates for them. Screw this soft release!! It's nice to know WHEN to prepare for and if scalpers come, just limit them.

I mean yeah, it is unfair, but that's kind of the point for TRU. If everybody buys Bowser from them, more money for TRU, less for other stores.

That's my biggest problem though. NOA just needs to set firm release dates and COMMUNICATE them to everybody. There's no reason for this spread out stuff.

Two of the TRUs that I called today told me they don't come out today, they come out Feb 1. I told them about the TRU twitter statement and then they changed their story, looked on the shelf and found Toon Link or Bowser

AFAIK, the only one that is street dated at TRY is Lucario. The registers won't let people sell them unless the managers override.

So...my cousin just told me he found Lucario and Rosie on the shelves in NA. Sent me a pic of his buy.

Said there were 2 Rosies left 30 mins ago...should I run?
 
Well, today I was in TRU just in time! To see another guy buy ALL the figures. No seriously, this fucking guy had his cart full of Bowser a toon link, maybe 60 figures in total, and he had 3 sheiks.

I tried to take one sheik from his cart but he was fast and took my arm, I told him to let me have that one but he was just apeshit, it was pretty funny now that I think about it, but at the moment I was so mad. I could tell he was about to punch me in the face and he was yelling "DO NOT DARE PUT YOUR HANDS IN MY CAR"

I told him I was just looking at ti (Lol no, I was trying to take it without him noticing) but he was having none of that. Then he told me that if I had just asked nicely he would let me had one of each, I laughed at his face (It was a nervous laugh, I was not scared but I was alarmed and angry) The guy was tall, bald and fat, so he could easily overpower me, since I´m lanky,

Anyway, he tried to take the figure out of my hands, but I reached them behind me, he tried for a me clearly struggling with not punching me in the face. Sadly I dropped the figure behind me and onto the counter, where the clerk just took it and register it.

I lost that battle. Then I apologized for my behavior and then told the guy how I was rude in taking the figure from his cart, he offered me a Bowser and then I told him I couldn´t accept it because my behaviour was just oh so bad (I was not really sorry, but I tried to make him feel bad). He was visibly confused and there was more people waiting to make the purchase. He looked around him and realized everyone was judging him. He turned red and told me that it was too late to give me a Sheik because it was already processed. I told him it was fine and that he should enjoy all those toys, since I sure wouldn´t. Then I said thank you for the clerk who was really nice in letting me know the guy was buying all of them. Took the Bowser and put him back in the guy cart. And went out. While I was going out I could hear the other people murmuring behind me, most likely saying shameful stuff about the other guy.

Then I just went to the other TRU and got Toon Link and Bowser anyway, I have Sheik in the way so I´m not worried. I also told the story to the other manager and he asked me to describe the guy for him and I did. I´m pretty happy right now.
