I have a Greatland Target minutes from my job. I will go there at lunch on 1/30. Hell I could stop in as soon as they open if there is chance they will be available then.

I picked up my first amiibos (Zelda and Kirby) when I went shopping for a Wii U pro controller. Now I have the urge to order more. Damn my need to collect things!

Well i only say its possible as some of the Skylanders they've had exclusively have shown up early in the past too. Hopefully not though.

Actually, who do we have here that works in retail? I was wondering about Gamestop too...all my preorders are there for this wave, but...will they come in on the dates listed on the site (like the 6th, 20th, etc) or should they have them in on the first?

I'm curious... you removed the cardbox art behind and preserved the plastic box?

Why?

And did that destroyed the art? If not, how did you managed that??

You ever consider thumb tacking them to the wall? I started doing that and it gave me a lot of extra free space to store/display other stuff.

If you open them from below the damage to the box is minimal, I enjoy displaying my boxes so people think I have it available and break their hearts when they realize its just the boxes.

I like how they look in the plastic box, I removed the aluminium strip under it so I can use them on my games, and this way they are easy to move around and display.

In case you guys didn't see, I got engaged. My gf actually proposed to me the other day. LOL she beat me to it. She still doesn't know about my plans to surprise her in Kyoto with a ring. But I told her yes, so we are technically engaged. She made it 10x easier, as now I don't have to worry about her saying no.

Sorry for being gone. After all the Shenanigans NoA pulled with Wave 3's release date, I was just burnt out. And I was also off board celebrating the engagement with my fiance (mostly with her friends and family). At this point, my Fiance is the one collecting. I'll still go to the stores on release, and try to casually get them. But I can't stay glued to the computer and trying to get them every day, if they are being that inconsistent. Wanted to give a big shout out to ThisBeJason who sent me Rosalina. I legit, feel like crying tears of joy. My Fiance is so happy right now (as its her favorite character), she was beyond ecstatic.

You should start checking behind cereal boxes and diapers in the baby aisle on the 30th/31st because if they put them out, but you can't ring them up, I can see people hiding them in other places to pick-up later. I know that was what people did during black friday back in the day before they started creating their own SKUs.

Give big credit to thisbejason. This was the ONE amiibo we wanted more then any one. He made us so happy, I can't even begin to express what this meant to us. We are both speechless. Perfect way to cap off our engagement celebration tbh.

Oh hey, new custom tag. & congrats once again. Considering how busy you are at the moment, it sounds like a good idea for you to take a small break from the amiibo, only to get them casually from time to time. Maybe you'll get lucky & find some in Japan.

I was considering the exact same thing when puting them up. I'll look into it, but I wanted a solution that wouldn't damage the wood.
 
Grabbed Megaman off Amazon.fr ($22 post conversion). Would rather pay a little more to have peace of mind. Won't ship until Feb 20th so I can just cancel if I find one in store.

Changed the other day.

Was going to change my name to "Mononoke". I wanted to to move forward with my life, and leave my cancer behind in 2015. So I asked an admin to change my Tag with my name (to match it). My mindset was that, I just wanted to move forward and leave behind things.

But I ended up deciding against changing my name, since so many people know me by Azula. And I think that, it would be bad to let my cancer take my name away from me. I should just be proud that I beat cancer. If that makes sense.

So the tag got changed, but the name didn't. Oh well. At least the tag now makes a bit more sense for people that don't know Avatar. They at least know I'm cancer free. And that is all that matters (plus Miyazaki is my fav animation director).

Seriously, you don't even know how much this meant to my fiance. She still can't over what you did. She's so happy. She can't stop staring at it in my room lol. This means the world to me. I think she knows that I wanted Rosalina so badly, so she's so happy that I'm happy.

I legit, felt like crying tears of joy because of your kindness. I honestly don't know how to repay you.
