Y'all are some seriously naive bastards if you think backlash had anything to do with this.

It's because of the delay and nothing more.

One month physical delay? I guess those are quite rare then.

Is the campaign multiplayer focused or is it built more for singleplayer ? I ask this because there are quite a few of these co op focused games that can be played alone but are not much fun.

The store I work at already got our copies yesterday dated for next week whats the point of a delay unless they're working on a day one patch to fix things

So why is the PS4 version on sale on the 28th?
I have no real idea as I have no knowledge of how pal psn works, but I would imagine it has something to do with what time the store updates. You see this in North America all the time due to differences in time zones on when stores update. Eg valve resides in Washington state which goes off pacific time and the store updates at noon pst so games will sometimes release at midnight EST, which is technically 10 pm the previous day pacific time, on Xbox live and pop up on steam at noon sharp the next day and officialy release on pc the day after it did on Xbox.

Time zones are one thing... but a two day difference?! Something's up.

It might be that the store simply updates once a week in the pal regions. I know this used to be a thing in North America when the psn store only updated on Wednesdays.

I have to say this again though: this all just conjecture on my part. I honestly don't know why it's happening like it is, but this is an odd situation indeed due to the delayed physical release and such.

Either gmg or Amazon. Amazon is doing it for 50 base price + 5$ credit while gmg is doing it for 60$ with a 25%off code.

Both are extremely overpriced :( And GMG is useless since they switched to euros.
I paid 34 dollars for GTA 5 on nuuvem, paying anything more than that for Dying Light just feels wrong.

Maybe GMG with a coupon. I really hate the fact that they switched to Euro, damn playfire credits didn't even get a conversion.

Yeah since the switch I haven't bought a single game there. Completely worthless.

Well...

I wouldn't mind helping you guys out as long as you live in a ROW country (ie not South America or Eastern Europe due to region locking). Pm me and we can get something going via PayPal and such.

I might get back to you when the game is out if the offer is still avalaible. I'm waiting for something like TB's port report or something along those lines from users, I feel like the game is getting a stealth release and this is sign of a bad port most of the time.

On PS4 you should be able to pre-load it on Sunday. The pre-load on Xbox One has already been up.

I'm in the minority here but I only played the 2 Dead Island games solo and they are now amongst my favourite games ever.
I'm hoping for more of the same from Dying Light.

It's hardly a stealth release when the majority of the world is getting it in February.

Yeah, forgot to mention its on PS4,thanks...so rest mode and auto downloads and I am good to go Sunday...?

You should be. Pre-loads usually start around 1 PM Eastern. Sometimes I have had to start it myself, though. So it would not hurt to check.

After watching the previews, it doesn't seem nearly as glitchy as other Techland games at launch.

Things they need to fix in a day 1 patch:

1. Tapping spacebar (jump) opens a chat box, even when playing solo.

2. You drop your equipped weapon when your inventory is full and you try to pick up a new weapon. This can be pretty subtle, I've seen a lot of streamers toss their best weapon without realizing it.

3. Zombies falling through the ground, especially after falling off something else (car, building, etc).

Unless I'm missing something, that's about it. Still, Dead Island's biggest disaster on launch involved the frequent loss of save data, which is a problem we wouldn't know about before Tuesday.

No, the biggest disaster at launch was that they've uploaded the wrong version (pre-release dev build) to the steam servers.

So are Microsoft likely to change the Xbox One EU digital release to the 28th? It's still showing as the 30th, I've done the preload but the game is released on the 28th now seems weird to still have it down as the 30th?

So I was planning on canceling my physical pre-order on Amazon now that the pre-load is up, but apparently Amazon only charged me $33 (??) so I guess I'll stick with that.

Yeah, that was a hilarious trainwreck.

Techland has two kinds of BS: "Lol what are you guys even doing" development hijinks and "Okay, I actually want to play your game now, please stop" long-term gamebreaking nonsense.

Kind of like the difference between faceless people and legit framerate issues in Unity.

I've been playing it for about a day now, and I'm enjoying it so far. A few hours in and it's still fun just to sprint around buildings and smash zombies with electric pipes, etc.The dialogue is surprisingly okay at times.

Have they said when we'll be able to download the US PS4 version yet? It's got the "pre-load supported" badge on it but they're running out of time.
