I'm out of town for the whole month. I'm doubting I'll be getting Ike and Shulk from GameStop I'm going to be pretty bummed. Since those are the main reason I even wanted amiibos.

My GS said they would get some extra Shulks (I only heard that they got 5 pre-orders for Bowser, I don't know on the others), but no idea as to when their Wave 3 shipment was actually coming, despite the 2/13 date. I'll start calling/checking next week when every place else gets their shipment.

I would like to help but I missed the Shulk wagon and importing mine.
I don´t think that is how it works, doesn´t Gamestop order how many they want? My guess is just Nintendo is selling the leftovers of the order on the store.
There should be a Nintendo store in California.

They broke their own street date yet Toys R Us can't sell Lucario early.

Yes, they did get a 1 per costumer limit according to reddit.
Also that profit is hypothetical, but sadly people will buy them. Not everyone trust import sites.

Just getting into the amiibo thing! Picked up a Captain Falcon at a local GameStop yesterday (that I work at), and just ordered the Mario Party 10 bundle on Amazon. Any tips for a new collector?
I'll ask when I go in tomorrow. As of right now though they only said Bowser.
I'm from the south side suburbs of Chicago if people need location info.

So I was curious to see if my local Toys R Us and Target in Mayfield Heights, Ohio got in any new amiibo. Toys R Us only had Bowser as the newest amiibo:
I will say, Bowser looks mighty scary looking as an amiibo. I think they did a really good job with him. He was also pretty heavy too. Probably similar to Donkey Kong's weight.
And Target didn't have any new ones. Their amiibo rack is still the exact same size from when amiibo were first released. It was about 1/4 the size of Toys R Us's. Gonna have to stop in early on Sunday for Rosalina I guess. (And to Best Buy for Meta Knight.)

Going from 0 amiibos to produce and distribute to 50+ so fast... The waves are just coming so fast after each other that half the characters are out and gone before people even realize what's going on.
If we were still just on Wave 1 they would be able to handle this better. A second wave of 12 4-5 months later, etc.
Of course that wouldn't be producing the levels of hype and madness we have here. I'm just talking from a consumer standpoint.

Bowser IS up on the GameStop website, too, with no street date, listed as shipping within 24 hours.
There's expected dates, but the guy at Gamestop told me there is no street date anymore.
The wording on the site was changed to reflect expected dates versus actual release dates.
Stay vigilant.
I did site to store preorder. Paid them off in store last Saturday.
I pre-ordered in-store, and my pre-order on the app is showing 2/1. They weren't able to tell me if there was a release date change because the items weren't showing up in their system. Did someone get a different answer?
