Went to the Morrisville, NC Target and picked up a Sheik Amiibo. My friend and I each got a Sheik and they are holding a 3rd for someone who called, so they only had 1 more available when I left. The employee was going to sell me Rosalina too, but the POS blocked it as street dated for 2/1. So close. They also had 4 Bowsers for anyone in the area looking for him.

Mine was the same way...however what I did was ask someone that was NOT in electronics if thet could check stock by the DPCI number he said yes we have 4 and he went and grabbed one. If you can get your hands on it it will ring out since it has no street date tied to it anymore.

I did. I am not too worried about Rosalina since they received at least 12 that I saw. As long as I am there when they open on Sunday I should be good. It would have been nice to get it out of the way, though.

The 6+ is just.....so random.
That's on every US amiibo packaging, so it's not all that random.
Been buying from them for like 15 years and never had any problems, I'm in Chile btw and the shipping prices are great all things considered, you will be fine

Actually, while it's not 100% reliable all the time, it IS partially correct. Someone either in this thread, or somewhere else mentioned that Target does not update the stock if an item is destroyed or otherwise stolen from the store.
So likely, a WFT from those two stores were either destroyed/stolen/returned and put back out or something else.
Way more than 40% I'd imagine. I can't see them costing more than cents/pence to make in bulk. Add the cost of moving them around, marketing, and you're probably looking at a cost to Nintendo of a couple of dollars per figure perhaps.

Though I wanted Ike before that. But now that I know he adds a really cool feature missing out is even worse.
Oh man! Now we are like really neighbors. I'm counting the minutes to leave the place I work on Miami Blvd to check out the Brier Creek Target... then maybe South Point as well. I need me some more Amiibo!
He doesn't appear to be that difficult to import.
on that note (again this is my first experience with amiibo buying) can I go into a gamespot and pre-order one, or are they just going to laugh in my face and say 'nah son'.
They closed Wave 3 pre-orders a while ago. I'd just keep calling and bugging them about it.

Just an FYI, you'll probably want to use the "Find in store" feature on the Target website so you know if they have what you're looking for ahead of time. In my case the Sheik Amiibos were still in their shipping box, but I gave the employee the DCPI# so he could see they were in stock and he dug them out for me. Good luck!

I really regret not picking up both Marth and WFT when they were first out... Particularly WFT as I actually play as the male version every once in a while. Marth... I should've gone with my gut and picked up the one I saw Day 1 but didn't.
I think those two are the only ones I actually hate not having, though I do have Villager (I named him Greg and he's an absolutely little terror in Smash) so it's a small consolation.
*sigh* I'll probably try to import those two if I can or may come crawling to ebay. Though I do hope that both (not just Marth for S.T.E.A.M.) will get a reprinting in the NA soon.

When I worked for GS, we got our stuff from either Nevada or Arizona. Once in a while, we got them directly from Texas strangely.

That's the earliest they're expecting most of them or something.
They aren't street dated anymore though so if a store gets them in early, they can sell them.
