Talking about ridiculous speeds, whatever happened to friction? In the first few episodes, when Barry was in street clothes, his clothes would start smoking and burning. In the episode with Felicity, his shoes caught fire after he run to the building to take the picture

I'll take a wild guess, since it usually turns out to be the answer to everything Flash related:
speed force
?

Heh, just came back to post it and yes... Many will be pleased.

That's the answer to everything.

Wow yeah trailer looks sick. I'm getting a filler vibe from this, but everything Flash has been fantastic so like sex, even when it's bad it's still great.

I think it'd be pretty cool if the heroics took a back seat to focus on characters for an episode. But it looks like it'll still have a lot of Flash-stuff, since he always seems to have to run off to save someone. And I believe the
"catch me if you can" girl is a comics villain.

Barry, I don't care if the entire city is burning, I would not run out on that girl, not in the middle of that moment.

Unless you were worried about... being... fast...

I dunno how to make a good premature ejaculation joke.

According to an article from last year, LG was touting their cellphone camera speed, supposedly the fastest yet, focusing in 276 milliseconds. Let's use that base line to factor in the phone's focus speed
I would say it is easier to look at the drop of the phone. The gravity should be the clearest way to measure the fall.

Episode 14 “Fallout” official description. Big spoilers for episode 13 by the looks of it too.

GENERAL EILING TARGETS FIRESTORM — After the nuclear explosion separates Ronnie (guest star Robbie Amell) and Dr. Stein (guest star Victor Garber), Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team believe both men are safe. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) is thrilled to have her fiancé back and prepares to resume their life together while Dr. Stein returns to his wife. However, when General Eiling (guest star Clancy Brown) targets Firestorm, Ronnie and Dr. Stein must decide if they are safer together or apart. Meanwhile, Mason Bridge (guest star Roger Hayworth) tells Iris (Candice Patton) that there is something secretive going on at S.T.A.R. Labs and Dr. Stein gives Barry some important information about time travel. Steve Surjik directed the episode written by Keto Shimizu & Ben Sokolowski (#114). Original airdate 2/17/2015.

So, I was thinking, we have seen that The Flash has to eat a lot to maintain his superspeed. What happens when he has to um....go? I'd hate to be the janitor at the Central City police station.

Some questions are best left unanswered.

Hey, earlier in the thread people wondered where the metahuman inmates did their business ;).

On a somewhat related note, how much does it cost to feed this guy?!!

After the drone scene last week it looked like he ate 30 hamburgers.

This is the second thread about a TV superhero where that question is asked...
Yeah, it was really weird when that poster responded in the thread with a detailed spreadsheet of Gordon's bowel movements.

Faster than a speeding bullet? Wait...thats Clark's schtick.

Don't worry about Barry's sexual prowess, I image he's had enough self practice since he woke up and has perfected being a human sybian.

Maybe his body is super efficient and there's little to no waste? Superman use to have a similar explanation IIRC.

Yeah, that's one of the first things I thought of too.

Better question, when Barry carries someone at superspeed how does a sudden change in direction or rapid deceleration not kill them or at least injure them?

By my count Felicity should be dead a few times over.

The speed force is actually a kind of bubble that includes anything the Flash interacts with. At least, that's how it is explained in the comics.

Caught up on the previous episodes.

-I fucking love the Rogues. Love them. So over the top and corny. I love it.
-I dug Hartly so hard as a villain. Breaking everything from the inside. So cool, but also worrying. Having a villain like that so early in the show is worrying to me, and reinforces my fears.

Also, finally getting some insight on Wells' powers. Very interesting.

The villains are so much fun. Or at least some of them are... the throwaway ones I don't care for.

So, as I was re-watching the episode with my daughter, I thought it must be an amazing coincidence that
metahumans just keep popping up from the accelerator explosion, with the potential for more, with Caitlin and Cisco seemingly heading towards gaining powers.
.

Then, I had the thought, what if Wells is, in fact, from the future, and
he hires people specifically because they do end up being metahumans, as if that's all part of the bigger plan. In fact, that explains why he might hire Cisco, despite his less than professional demeanor and attire in comparison with the rest of the crew
.

I realize this would create a time loop of sorts, but I thought it's an interesting possibility. What say you, FlashGAF?
