Isn't that screenshot from Rise of Incarnates though?

I think the hate on Evolve is coming from their DLC model and the way they've handled pre-order editions.
 
Crap, it's already Febuary.... I need to get playing some games like now. I need to come up with a new list of games to complete this month. Anyone got any ideas?
 
New thread smell! So, is anyone else sort of giddy seeing those Besieged .gifs? Feels like a charming (also, sometimes bloody) Lego contraption maker of a game.

Year Walk is utterly, utterly fantastic. I'm not a big fan of point & click adventure games, but it distills the puzzle solving aspect with a really interesting atmosphere & mythos, and the puzzles aren't that hard. It's well worth experiencing.

Anyone else not able to connect at all to Steam? Just errors out, been trying for like 10 minutes now (US East coast).
 
I know it's only been out for a couple of days, but does anyone have impressions for Survivalist? I see a few friends on my list have it but don't know if they've played it. It looks and reads like Fallout With Zombies(tm) on a budget of $3.99, but does it hold up in terms of gameplay?

speaking of demos, dead state, one of my favorite games from last year got a demo last week: http://store.steampowered.com/app/239840/

it's a few hours of gameplay so i'd say its a good amount of content to figure out if the game's for you or not (spoiler: if you don't like clunky overambitious games you're not gonna like it)

Oh, so there is, thanks. I was on the store page and didn't even notice the demo button, maybe because so few games have demos now that I'm not even bothering to look.

Well, I liked Wasteland 2, so where does that leave me? :)
 
I didn't realize the 3 Nep-Nep Additional Content DLC adds 300 level cap "each". That mean's over the initial 100 level cap of the base game, your maximum character level with the DLC's can reach up to 999!

well if you can survive the desire to stab yourself repeatedly in the heart over shitty inventory screens which i'm guessing you have if you've played more than 15 minutes of wasteland 2, then you're probably gonna enjoy dead state

dead state is a lot less story-driven and more just like a x-com thing
 
I ride motorcycles in real life but I can hardly play a Moto GP game.

Lightning Returns battlesystem is really interesting and fun. I also enjoyed the dress system. If only most of them didn't look so ugly. :(
I liked the game more than XIII-2, but way less than XIII.

Will buy it again on Steam on day 1 nevertheless.

Different strokes man. I don't have the time to play it anyway, still have to go through XIII and buy Xiii-2 >_>

Might just skip the latter for now though and skip to Lighting Returns as I never beat it because of the garbage framerate.

Pretty much the same. I enjoyed the world personally, despite the fact it was born out of no where for ridiculous plot reasons, and it had some issues with low quality assets. Was a nice little open world. Shame the time limit kind ruined exploring it a bit in the start, until you learn how to abuse chronostasis.

Seriously though. NEED to get all Final Fantasys on my Steam account. My soul will know no peace until I see I II III IV V VI VII VIII IX X X-2 XII XIII XIII-2 LR and XV in my list.

I found the time limit to be a non-factor actually.
I slept in the Inn for 5 days to reach the final day because I had nothing else to do.

Honestly, at this point I'd be happy to see just IX, X and X-2 on Steam. FFVI is my favorite but I'm worried if we ever do get it it'll be that terrible mobile version with the ugly, redone sprites.

That was why I said in the start. It has the unfortunate problem of making you feel like you have to do so much but have little time to do it in the beginning. Then you realise you can just use chronostasis every 5 seconds, and because you thought you didn't have enough time so you rush, you end up with a load of spare time at the end of the game. I had the same problem,
I did every single side quest for the trophies, and I slept most of the last 3 or 4 days.

Yeah, deep down I know that's going to be the case. I want to be optimistic but at the same time I'm sitting back watching Squeenix make stupid move after stupid move and realistically that ship just isn't turning around any time soon.

I just want XII... totally underrated, but that game is awesome and would look great on PC.
