I still can't believe that petty schoolyard brawl broke out at the end...the Seahawks pretty much shat away any sort of pride they might have had left after that interception.

Seahawks fan reporting in. We should have won this game. We should be back to back champions. But should has nothing to do with reality. Reality is the Patriots won. We nearly pulled off an amazing comeback but didn't finish the job. That playcall will be infamous for all time. Great season, terrible end. Bring on next year.

It's OK to dislike it, but Wilson has been to two SBs, and won one. Luck has shit the bed in big games. I'd take Wilson.

The difference is that if you take Luck out of the Colts that's a CFL team, while if you take Wilson out of the Seahawks there's still a very good chance they would have been to two SBs anyway.

I was rooting for them and was pissed at the intercept, but when the fight broke out I was like "you know what? I'm not pissed anymore." Not only did they fuck up the SB with a colossally stupid call, they killed their own dignity by pouting like children.

I would be ashamed to call myself a Hawks fan if I was one.

How does Edelman not get taken out of the game for a concussion test? The fact that he stayed in and played through it changed the game.

Why wasn't that play a penalty? I may be completely ignorant of the rules, but it really looked like a helmet to helmet hit on a defenseless receiver.

The real mistake Seattle made was when they had the ball 24-14 and 24-21. Yeah the tripping PI wasn't called but you can't have 2 quick 3 and outs in those situations. They were lucky to get a chance to blow the game after that lol

Just looking at who has been to more super bowls is a stupid argument. The Seahawk's backup QB has been to 2 as well, is he also better than Luck? Luck does more with less. He's obviously the better QB.

Game was given away. Seahawks might as well just forfeit and never shown up. I mean a bad play or wrong call is just that, this was a terrible no excuse most idiotic call in football history. I don't even think the old school Colts would have done something so stupid.

lol alright. it was a stupid play call but the defender also made an incredible play on the ball. sounds like sour grapes from a seachickens fan my man!

The worst that should happen on that play is you get stopped. You still have time to run the ball. And you can still pass. They had all the options in the world open and they took a chance on 2nd and goal. I was confused by Belichick not calling a timeout. These weird things always happen when I criticize time management.

I was thinking Seattle would score and Belichick would need that time to work the drill. I was looking at Belichick thinking "what are you doing?" Little did I know that Belichick had put his balls on the table and said to Pete Carroll "I'm not giving you time, call a damn play, let's see what's what."

The escalation of brutal NFC losses is amazing

From Detroit to Dallas to Green Bay to Finally Seattle. Each passing it to the next team.

From the simmons mailbag this past Friday:

Q: Lions lose in gut wrenching fashion to Cowboys.
Cowboys lose in gut wrenching fashion to Packers.
Packers lose in gut wrenching fashion to Seahawks.
Seahawks lose in gut wrenching fashion to Pats.

It's a TD if Wilson and the WR execute a bit better. At the worst it's incomplete. No need to lead the WR there, throw it to him
Wilson stared him down the whole time. He needs to master the Brady no look pass.

2 good things happened today.

1. Katy Perry rode in on a tiger and danced with sharks
2. Richard sherman cried like a bitch on national tv

other than that it kinda sucked

There's not a doubt in my mind the Pats were talking the biggest shit ever after that interception. Dudes talking hot shit and the emotion of knowing the championship just slipped through your fingers leads to fighting.

He's a decent QB, but not a great one. There's been way too much hype around him. Seahawks offense is not based on needing a spectacular QB. Just a competent one.

Basically, Wilson is the second coming of Kyle Orton. The most adequate man in football.

A lot of people do hype him, but there are just as many that don't give him nearly enough credit? Kyle Orton? Stop it. He's certainly not the best traditional pocket passer, but he makes a ton of plays, which is especially important given the mediocre WR squad Seattle has.

The stare down didn't really matter. He was either open or he wasn't. It was man D and the DB was going to keep to his man.

What went wrong was that the WR slowed down and that Wilson led him too much. If the QB threw that behind, or on the WR, that was a TD. WR's instinct was correct IMO because that's where he had the block and the DB was overtaking him.

The criteria for madden curse is starting to become more and more of a joke. "Oh you mean that guy's team didn't go undefeated and win the super bowl while he was league MVP? Madden curse."

And let's be real here, the real recipient of the curse this year is unquestionably Kevin Durant >__>

Wilson was pretty bad tonight except for a few very nice deep throws and a couple runs. He wasn't good for 60 minutes and the Hawks needed him to be especially In a close game like this one was

The possibility of stuff like the second sentence happening is exactly why it's not a particularly safe play.

Ehh. The Pats DB that made the play was an undrafted rookie from West Alabama. I'm pretty sure most coaches would take that match up 99% of the time. I do think I'd prefer a fade or something there.

When they run the ball, they could have fumbled it. Doesn't mean it wasn't a safe play.
