So many emotions, what a game! Like most I'm still in shock at the play calling at the end there. Being a 49ners fan, having first and goal to win a Super Bowl and not coming through, I feel ya Seattle fans.

I'm no Denver fan.. but what fucking beast Terrell Davis was. And you're absolutely correct, that is how you win a Super Bowl. So much respect. He belongs in the Hall of fame. Some day.

I had to work last night so I missed the game. Pats won again? snore. Best part was the end with that amazing catch with the seahawks pumped and then they throw the INT. and are deflated.

What a game.

I find both sides silly really. As a Pats fans, and wanting him badly to catch Montanna for his legacy and Giants usurped us twice with crazy once-in-a-lifetime plays, it felt good to win. But let's not kid ourselves, this game could have went either way.

People saying Russell choked or isn't elite. Brady cheats, Lynch should have ran, fighting at the end, you guys have no idea what its like to be in those game. Coach was probably just trying to stop the clock, it was only like 25 seconds left on second down so the pass was to save his time out. Just so happened that a man was open, Russell made a good throw, just a little off and Butler made an amazing interception! Right before that, the most unbelievable juggling act in NFL history happened that put the hawks at goal line. Right before that, Brady comes back with 2 touchdown drives in like 8 minutes. Interception in the first quarter which Pats basically dominated makes the score remain 0-0. Gutsy call by Pete at the end of the first half pays off and makes the game 14-14. So many factors fellas, so many things could have gone either way, and end the end it's just a great game.

And yes, Brady is great. To go to the ship 6 times in this era is crazy. And deflate scandal is getting sillier and sillier by the day. Now some balls were only a minute degree under regulation. Just enjoy it Pats fan, Hawks, you guys would definitely be back.

That game was just like the 2 giants losses, except the defense held this time.

Was pissed/saw my soul disappear from my body. Defense did awesome in the fourth. That bullshit lucky ass catch though. Pats can't fucking escape it.

The Kearse catch was as soul crushing as they come.

Couldn't believe that shit. Another perfect coverage bullshit catch.
It's funny how the outcome changes everything. Tyree has one of the greatest catches because they won. Today Kearse's catch means jack shit..

Feels great man. Not only that Butler goes from zero to folk legend.

Haven't seen the full one posted yet.

Needs to replace Lisa with Peter Carroll for perfection.

Also, actually pause when Bart says "Now".

Sigh. Take two, phone ate my last post.

@PatsGAF
Congrats on the win! Your team was great this year. I'll be honest, I was feeling sort of a déjà vu with that Kearse catch and the feeling of inevitability when the Hawks were on the one yard line. But, the Pats pulled through. I'll also admit that as a Chiefs fan I enjoyed the whoopin we gave you guys early this season. :) Alas, we couldn't get it done elsewhere. Oh well, next year!

Now begins a football fan's drought until August. D:

Butler wasn't a complete unknown to Pats fans. We might not have seen him much in the regular season, but he was solid in the preseason. He had like what, 3 ints in the in the preseason? I'm happy he got his shot because he is a playmaker.

First off all great game. Just watched and I'm not a fan of the two teams. Concerning the last playcall ... I Mean I understand Carroll wanted to have three plays. But with the performance of Lynch I think it would've been better to run and spike the ball if you don't make it in. There was enough time for two plays and with two attempts for lynch I think it would've been possible even if you have a bad matchup on the first play. But well they took the risk and lost. Well shit happens but the pats also deserved to win, so that's that.

Btw. Who was regular season mvp? Totally missed that.

Aaron Rodgers was regular season MVP.

Still baffled by that play call from Seattle. Thank fucking christ I had zero emotional investment in the game, either as a Patriot hater or Hawks fan. I think I would be distraught for a week straight if Id put money on Seattle. Sort of reminds me of the 2013 NBA Finals when Greg Popovich benched Tim Duncan at the end of G6, which lead to Miami getting that fateful three from Ray Allen. Coaching criminality.

That's likely to be a massively unpopular opinion. Like don't say that in public.

He's not wrong, they're America's team.
Lol, what about the Cowboys? Or I think at this point the Broncos?

Not here in New England. It's unanimous.

I live in North Carolina, Charlotte specifically. After Super Bowl 38 saying Go Pats is simply a good way to commit suicide.

Here in germany most people wouldn't even know who the pats are :P so I think I'll be fine. Being an bayern munich fan I'm used to the tears of other people

Ah I see. Tear salt is healthy after all.

After drinking so much after celebrating and throwing up and then waking up with a hang over.

I am now managing to post this. WOOHOO PATRIOTS !

Of course the Pats deserved to win. Anyone that says they were handed this win is a complete idiot. That stupid playcall at the end isn't what erased a 10 point deficit in the 2nd half. That stupid playcall isn't what forced the Seahawks to punt so often in the second half, allowing for the comeback. Brady threw for 4 TDs against the best defense in the league. Edelman made the best defense in the league look absolutely stupid time and time again. Pats deserved this win.

Listening to The Herd on the radio, Watching First Take on the tablet, and posting this from my phone. I'm soaking up all the media reaction.

What an awesome super bowl. The last 4 minutes where incredible with unreal twists. If I was a Seahawks fan I'd be in mourning for a month. How they didn't just run beast mode is one of the most regrettable coaching decisions in super bowl history.

Really hope Pats Giants meet one final time in the super bowl before Brady retires so Eli can go 3-0.

The line between greatness and goat is thin. Hoodie was about to get pummeled by the media for not calling a time out until Bevell one upped him with arguably the worst play call in super bowl history.

If the Pats called the timeout, then Seattle would have run the ball every single time instead of being forced to pass at least once. Bill has a very good defense and was expressing confidence in them in stopping Seattle at the goal line.

I know, the wait is long. But the only thing that stinks about August is that it means summer is almost over so I'm content in taking a long time before football starts again.

I think Butler got in because Arrington/Ryan were getting beaten by Seattle's bigger receivers (Matthews).

One of the best games in recent memory. We even had 2 Russo Swerves.

Also, my theory of crap halftime/good game still stands for now.

Just heard on espn that Carroll DID want to run the ball but Lynch told him that he was only there so he wouldnt get fined.

While watching the game, NBC I believe after the halftime show, showed a video where they recapped what happened during the first half I think?

Anyways I was wondering if anyone who might remember it or PVR'd it would know the song that was playing during it. The lyrics sounded like "tonight is your night", or something. Anyway, I thought it was a catchy tune and was wondering if anyone might know what the actual song name was. My googling has failed me so far.

I barely slept, the coaches just utterly gave it away. They didn't beat us, we beat ourselves. This is one is going to sting for awhile...
