The Order: 1886 has gone gold

I dont know if thats because Im not following this game infos so much, but it seems to me they've shown very little of the game!

I remember seeing only one section with a werewolf, and then only the 1st and latest short demo sections. Other then that some trailers with mixed scenes but not many from different sections. It seems everything presented was very early game.

Eurogamer critics about the excessive unnecessary QTE, insta fail stealth sections and that sniper scene (that you cant shoot freely) got me quite worried. However, I cannot denny the shooting seems way too good, and the dismemberment really adds to it!

I may end up pre-ordering. I'm quite excited to play this campaing! Still a bit insecure because of that preview, and cause I have no idea how long it may take to finish for the 1st time (and if there will be any replay incentive).

That's good to hear. The struggle was real to find out a decent balance of creepy and intrigue for that section.

No. I need a solid 3-4 years. Trust me, this is nothing compared to what the top guys can do. A long ways ahead for that.

Nice to finally be able to walk into a The Order thread and not see a lot of shit drive by posting and hate. Really seems like that last trailer put the hype train into full effect. Funny how presentation is everything, and RAD seemed to get the trailer right just in time for the release!

That was a pretty awesome illustration, dude. I think you have the basics quite set. Also, you did great with tone and atmosphere.

Are you a fan of Nico Di Mattia by any chance? I think you're well under way to match him ;)

But now every game needs to have MP or co-op or horde mode to justify the $60 tag. If the game gives you enjoyment and is reasonable length (not 4-8 hours but 10-15+ hours), then it should not be dinged. But this game will be dinged for not having any MP by the critics and gamers alike.

Was Wolfenstein The New Order brutalized by critics or gamers? I remember it being reviewed and regarded rather well. It seems to me a well done SP campaign can still stand on its merits without a tacked on MP.

Am I crazy or have I seen this drawing timelapse of The Order before? It's great though as I can learn from it a lot.

There was this deal about a week ago that enabled you to pre-order the game for £37.00, but the needed code doesn't seem to be working anymore judging by the comments. The game is indeed priced ridiculously high everywhere in the UK, so my advice to you guys is to visit HotUKDeals regularly and keep your eyes peeled. Something is bound to turn up in the next two weeks or so.
 
This is gonna be one of those games that I play with the biggest fucking smile on my face the entire game. I just get those "feels" man.
 
Amazon decided to cancel my premium edition pre order, and now I can't get in anywhere. They claimed it was lack of supply, despite me pre ordering the second I could. If they could not fulfill it why wait till 3 weeks before the game was going to be released. If I had known earlier I could have gone to an actual store to get it. Sorry I just needed to rant, no statue or art book for me :(

He's essentially the primary inspiration for me doing this monthly, personal project of mine. Haha thanks, he's one of my favorite artists. :)

Wee bit clipping in one of those new .gifs. Can't be helped I suppose, and it's a tiny tarnish on a veritable cornucopia of golden moustachioed goodness.
