Tuesday means back to work. :( Hope wave 4 preorders don't go up while I'm here. Lol (though I told my bf to keep an eye out since he's able to order while at work unlike me)

I hate this feeling of like... You never know when it's going to happen so you're always worrying about it. Lol

To be fair, the demand here is really low. That's why we still have some of the rarer stuff available (in Denmark at least) - the stock just never got sold and that's why it seems like constant restocks. In reality we haven't gotten any restocks for the rare stuff (I can only speak for Denmark. I know Germany has gotten some for Marth, Villager and Wii Fit Trainer)
 
If anyone wants to trade, I have Rosalina or Sheik that I would be willing to trade for Shulk once he comes out. I'll hold onto the other one to see if I have to pull a trade off for Ness or Pac Man.

I'm putting all my eggs in the GS basket. They were good for all the other amiibos so far, I have no doubt they'll continue being great for everything else later.

I bought one for $23 on EBay with free shipping (the day Rosalinda came out) The seller somehow had tons. Later that day when I looked he/she already changed shipping from free to $6+. Glad I got it when I did. I bet the prices are ridiculous now
 
I have a falcon, pit, little mac I'd be willing to trade for wave 3 ones. I really don't want to spend anymore money on amiibos lol.

e: Should ask that I'm looking for all the wave 3s except rosalina, meta knight, sonic, mega man, shulk, and Ike.

how would you know if the demand is low? if you ask me the demand is pretty high with people willing to spend +30 on them(except for wii fit trainer)

I saw a post in another topic saying why people don't just preorder. The problem, as amiibros know, is basically what the thread title is--you are never safe until they're in your hands (even then, someone desperate can grab 'em!). People fearing missing out on preorders themselves--it's bad enough to miss out on the item--isn't right at all.

In the US, sure, but not where I'm located (Denmark). I was just pointing out that the demand for Amiibo in Europe is significantly lower than I'm the US hence why we still have the rarer figures available
 
I need to go find the trading thread or investigate the spreadsheet thing when I'm not on my phone. I was able to get a spare sheik and a spare Rosalina since my target's shipping misfortunes seem to have left it thoroughly insulated from scalpers this time. I'm sure there will never be a chance to trade for a villager (or rather, I pray for all our sakes that nothing winds up that rare), but I very much doubt I'll successfully get all wave three's rares. My miraculous luck with Mac, pit, cap, and now Rosie and sheik can't hold out forever.

I wonder if I should have greeded harder on Rosalina... They weren't enforcing a limit and had like eight at the time...I could have had an eternity of trade-worthy amiibo....
 
Everyone is getting so stressed out. I'm so glad I'm not trying to complete a collection.

I've just been buying the Amiibo that I am interested in. Sheik so far has been my only impulse buy. I grabbed her while I was looking for Toon Link. I got Link, Yoshi, WFT, Villager & Kirby on the first day of Wave 1's release before the two became rare and skipped all of Wave 2. I pre-ordered Meta Knight, Toon Link and DeDeDe, but they were up on Best Buys website for like two weeks so no hassle there. The only time I had to go out my way was for Rosalina and Toon Link (wanted an extra) and that just meant I had to wait in line for a bit before store opening.

Really, you don't need them all! Just grab the characters you really love. It makes life so much easier. :D

I don't know the hard numbers but anecdotally, moving from NA to the UK, it's a surreal alternate universe where Nintendo just was not huge here, up until, basically, Pokemon. While people like Mario and Pikachu, people don't appear to have the nostalgia for Samus, Fox, Mac and Falcon. I think that's, at best, partly why there seems to be a multitude available here--not many have the same attachment as USA does. Not very many older gamers know who Pit is outside Smash.

Though Japan's similarly relatively decent stock (I think?) basically crushes this theory if true, and points the blame for the NA amiibocalypse at NoA.

all the gamestops that I know of in NYC have bowser, idk about the other 2 though.
 
So I went to pick up my Lucario that I preoerdered up from tru last night, and the fuckers sold them all and didn't put one aside for my order. I think I'm done with these things.
 
...am I the only Lucario website pre-order that still hasn't received shipping confirmation? I keep checking back and it's still just at "item in stock" :/

I'm trying, but many of the characters I really want also happen to be rare :/.
 
There is nothing more satisfying than playing the amiibo game and winning. All I need is to BB to send meta and I´m sure to get all of mine so far.

and it has still been a pain in the ass
!

Thankfully done with the current wave at least (once my Meta Knight ships in).

ETA for all other amiibos besides Bowser, Sonic, and Mega Man is 2/13. They're not street dated, meaning that as soon as they come in, they can sell. If you preordered in store, I would call in advance to confirm they will definitely call you when they're in.

Bowser was in a day earlier than their ETA, so don't be afraid to check in to be sure.

I checked with the employee at Gamestop yesterday when I was paying off my amiibos and he said he would definitely call, so I should be good to go.
 
Have we got an estimate on when Best buy pre-orders for Meta knight, Mega man, DDD, Sonic, and Ike will update and/or ship?

Or is that 2/13 date pretty much a standard across various retailers? I remember with 2.5 that best buy and Gamestop were similar regarding release dates.
