If it's any consolation, it's only happening in retail. I haven't heard anything about people getting their online orders from TRU.ca yet...yet.

I checked mine yesterday yesterday afternoon & they only had one Bowser & Toon Link, but had the pegs up for the others for a while. I can check again when I head back into town for another college class in a few hours.
REALLY wish Meijer had an inventory checker...

No I'm saying Canada IS lucky. They are getting Rosalina and almost ALL of wave 3 now while in the US we have only 4 or 5 from wave 3.

Yup, always seems to happen with every series. Just keep strong, and if possible, snag deals when you can.
I posted yesterday some baseless speculation. Basically, with Easter coming up, we can probably expect Wave 4 to drop closer to that; Skylanders have done this every year because parents buy these to stick in kids Easter baskets. Therefore, we should probably see preorders go sometime later this month, into next month. Easter is on April 5th, so the week before the wave will probably drop.

Just checked a Meijer nothing out but they had pegs ready to go for all wave 3. I pass another one on my way home so I'll check that one as well actually talk to someone in this one

For me, the most difficult part is if I don't follow this thread and others I know I will miss out on Wave 4. I know I just need to calm myself down and realize it's all work out, as it has worked out for me so far. I know I have to put in actual work to get these things though.

Maybe I will feel better about it once I have wave 4 preordered. The Rosalina debacle took a lot out of me since she was the only one I didn't have a preorder for. Luckily, I was able to find one while I was on a road trip on Sunday.

I'm not! But, I've been incredibly lucky so far. Pit is the only one that I've even had a little bit of an issue finding... and now I have two.
Wave 1 - Pre-ordered all twelve from a local shop. All 12 were available on launch day.
Little Mac, Diddy Kong - Picked them up at a TRU. Was keeping tabs on this thread. As soon as people started seeing them, I drove there and got them.
Luigi, Zelda - Had them ordered on Amazon, but found them easily long before they were going to ship them to me. Just cancelled the Amazon order.
Captain Falcon - I work right next to a Target. Just kept refreshing the inventory checker. Once he showed in stock, I went and got him (last one though!).
Pit - Couldn't find him anywhere. Online orders kept getting delayed. I had to enlist an old friend who is a manager at a Gamestop to help me out and call me when Pit finally showed up.
Bowser, Toon Link, Sheik - Right place at the right time. I just happened to walk into TRU when they were putting them out.
Lucario - Grabbed one of those $1 pre-order cards. I was super skeptical about it working, but had no issues getting one last week.
Rosalina - Had to brave a snowstorm, but I got the second to last one at the second Target I went to.
Dedede, Shulk, Sonic, Mega Man, Ike - Have them all on order at Gamestop. Pre-ordered in store a while ago. Not worried.
Meta Knight - I'm admittedly worried about this guy. I have one on order from Best Buy to ship to home, but the lack of info is worrisome.
Mario Bros. Series - Got them all ordered off of Amazon
Wave 4 - Nothing yet (of course).
These amiibo threads have been immensely helpful. It also helps that my job, while requiring about 50 hours of my time per week, is pretty lenient about when I can just leave for an hour or so.

don't buy all of them, only get the ones you like. its that simple. its what my bro and I do. although wave 4 is gonna be rough for him, he wants all of em except for 2(robin and charizard, funny enough that they're the only 2 i want from wave 4 lol)
Oh I didn't realize emails were getting sent out that early. I only got my "shipping soon" email last week. Most people got their confirmation by the end of yesterday, but I just keep checking back :/

The manager I know put a Sonic, Toon Link (to replace my poorly painted one) and Rosalina aside for me.
They got 20 Lucarios to sell, but they are street dated for this Friday February 6th.

Their site choked up on my phone number as not being "legitimate", so after trying like five times w/ different formats I tried a different number and it accepted it, but by then Toad was gone.
This is driving me bonkers.
Cross posting from the Canadian deals thread. A lot of people have called around and their TRU don't have stock yet. But a few stores do. Seems like mostly Northern Ontario.
Yeeep, new Amiibos are loose at some TRU now.

Oh yes sorry the Friday email was a sort of order confirmation that it was about to be shipped but it already had a tracking number. Got my actual shipping confirmation on Sunday.
How was it packaged?
Errr I'd be careful here... Not all of Ontario have them. I had someone check not that long at my location and they got there shipment for the day but no amiibos.

I don't know. I'll come at this from another perspective - I haven't really spent much time on this at all. In the entire time Amiibo's have been out, I've gone to a store one time early in the morning to have access to a retail exclusive (Rosalina at Target).
The remaining figures I've picked up with by checking online and in threads like this. Pit and Falcon were up on Walmart and TRU for instance for a short time span and I jumped on them both.
Marth I recently got for a small premium. Same for Meta Knight to save myself the hassle. Lucario I'm getting from a friend as he needs a Pit and I have an extra to trade his way. spyhunterzero in this thread was kind enough to pick up Sheik and I have a bunch of wave 3 stuff preordered at a few sites.
I just don't tend to get worried about it. I still don't have a Villager or Wii Fit Trainer but eh, when they are available for a price I'm comfortable with, I'll grab them. Until then, patience if a virtue.
The only thing that frustrates is Nintendo's handling of stock. It seems setup to make these things hard to find which is really pissy. Especially when there are kids (like my 9 year old) that wants this stuff and you have to fight scalpers, etc.
