That is insane and borderline deceptive. I have no desire to play Evolve at this point - I feel like they've totally botched the handling of that game over the last 6 months.
 
Chuffed to see the positive buzz now surrounding the game. I know some are still a little apprehensive but I'm glad more and more people are jumping on the bandwagon and supporting the title.

I have enjoyed plenty of games over the past year or so but it feels like a long time since I've been truly excited about something.

Hopefully it delivers.
 
My PS4's fan goes ballistic with in The Last of Us and I can't even think what it does when The Order : 1886 starts pushing the graphics.

I really should get a replacement from Sony...
 
Don't see any streams but if one pops up plenty more will as time gets closer to launch. Can't wait for all that pent up QTE and Cinematic rage to flow forth from the internet. The naysayers have been silenced since that one trailer hit so you know they are itching to get on a stream, watch for 3 seconds and mention either a cutscene or a QTE where you hit Triangle to open a door or something

Ya, that stream was up for like 1 minute and we got a "linear" and "QTE" comment already.

What's their policy on that?

- Mine is incredibly loud aswell (More so than my PS3 fatty), which isn't a bother when I can just turn the surround fully up, but when I have to be a bit more quiet the fans are quite annoying.

I've read of people getting replacements for loud units, but I can't really say what their exact policy is.

It didn't really bother me in the beginning, but now game time is a bit limited due to us getting a child and I tend to play late in the evening. When the house is quiet the loud fans combined with a bit quieter sound level in the tv is a really irritating combanation. Like experience ruining.
 
Anyone know if there's a language/gore/profanity filter for this game? Saw a bit of gameplay and I was a little off put by it. I appreciate the option, and I'll pass if there isn't one.

Just import it from somewhere that censors it if it doesnt. I'm sure some country will.

PAL doesn't have one. I don't know about NTSC, but I doubt they'll be any different. That's just how the game has been designed. There isn't much profanity or nudity in it to be fair. Gore is a different case, but it's certainly nowhere near the likes of something like God of War 3.

Genuine question: any particular reason why that's off-putting?

You need to press a button to open a door? Fuck that noise... i havent pressed a button to open a door in... hours. Maybe days!

Holy quote revive Batman. TBF, most beta's aren't really beta and just glorified server test/QA demos, but I agree on the displeasure of the use of the term along with what they call a 'Season Pass'. Pretty sure the game will be fine (I enjoyed my time with it), but I'll be personally waiting for a GOTY version to bypass all the involved nonsense.

Glad we aren't dealing with these sort of situations with The Order.

It really is one of the better trailers I've seen for awhile. Could we have the new king of storytelling? TLoU set the bar, but RAD and Ru in particular have had this percolating for a long time. Plenty of time to refine and develop the lore, timeline, story and interconnecting relationships.

Also, Sony seems to be really putting a bit behind this, they're setting it up to be a franchise with a big future hopefully.

The gore itself isn't too bad, I loved Gears of War last gen (Flower blood filter was amazing though!) but language bothers me. It bothered me in BF3 MP (glad it was toned down for BF4), it bothered me a bit in Uncharted and definitely in TLOU.

I have a hard time taking games seriously I guess. I couldn't get into TLOU's story and the profanity seemed out of place to me. That and I have a one year old roaming around the house and there are words I don't want him picking up on quite yet.

In all seriousness, if you guys want the game spoiled for you, so be it. I know how hard it can be to turn away from a game you're interested in. I can also understand the people that go on blackout now in case of drive-by story spoilers, which is always unfortunate. Luckily, GAF is pretty good about keeping those riff-raff out.

Anyway, hope you're all looking forward to the game. Just a few more weeks... :D

Yep yep yep.
I was mad at Sony for the bad marketing but they suddenly started to show good footage and with this trailer they turned on my hype alarm. Outstanding editing, pace, music (is it from the OST?), clip selection. I have to say, I found cool and funny when the girl said "this is no time for vengeance, come to your senses!" and the next cut has Galahad in rage mode.

Nope nope nope. I'm sure The Order has a great story, rich background and lore, good acting etc but in terms of storytelling I expect something classic and passive.
