This level of shitposting better be bannable in the OT or that thread will be a fucking nightmare.

As usual the game looks stunning.

My post was completely misconstrued. I said that because I already saw those gifs and assumed by the thread title that there'd be some new gameplay footage of substance(Not moving through an environment.)

I'm usually the one who sighs when I see the typical Order driveby posts.

Get in Order then.
See what I did there?

Every time I see this gif...every time...

This does look pretty damn great. I am going to wait for reviews and Gaf impressions, Also there have been a few games that use the black bars and I have a hard time playing games with black bars, I have no issues with movies, but games are another story. But this game just looks so damn good that I think (if Gaf impressions are good) that I will still get the game.

Any word on the length of the game?

I think its safe to say roughly 10 hours. It will probably take me longer as I like to inspect everything.

Supposedly bout 10 hours

It looks amazing, but if those are forced walking sections, I will be pulling my hair out playing this game. Hopefully they were just filmed that way for dramatic effect.

The graphics are about more than fidelity; the art direction behind them is incredible as well. If nothing else, RAD has done an absolutely incredible job in that department.

I am the same way. Not sure if this is the type of game where you want to look in every nook and cranny, but even if the base game is about 10 hours, for me, like you it will take a little longer. I think games that are 10-15 hours are good, but if this game delivers like I hope it does, I would wish it would be longer! :)

Looking at the trophy list, there is some collectables to encourage some exploring. I also just like to look at the textures and stuff. I like soaking in the detail they put in games like this. I did in TLoU, I also go a little crazy with the share button to take screenshots. If its as good as I hope, I will have a few playthroughs for sure. Once they release the photomode it will take me 30 hours to beat it lol.

LMAO. Yeah, my ADD kicks in, I am the same way in other games. If there is something hiding and they make the game where they reward some exploration, it then get's a lot more play time out of me. I play a few MMO's and my ADD goes into over-drive finding all the little hidden things in those games.

I am really hoping this game turns out, it seems unique and different from some of the other games currently out and to me this will be a refreshing change of pace for me. I just hope the black bars don't detract me too much. I had a lot of issues with Evil Within until they patched the PC version to remove them.

The fact that these are in game realtime renders is just absolutely mindblowing to me. This is so far beyond anything else I have ever seen it's incredible. While the graphics are truly impressive its the art direction that makes it completely breathtaking. I cannot wait to play this game. I can't beleive I'm actually saying this but at this point in time I think my anticipation for Bloodborne has been completely overshadowed by the Order. I just want to jump in this world and absorb the beauty of every single crevice of it. This, my fellow gaffers, is a good day to be alive. Truly exciting times we live in.

This is what happens when you have both incredible art and the tech to pull it off. I've seen lots of people acting like it's one or the other but when you have both, they're paired so well that it has a multiplicative effect in both ways. They flatter each other and hide flaws. I think this game may be the closest a 3D game with a realistic art style has come to it's concept art.

Another thing that seems to gets overlooked visually about the game is the sheer consistency of the assets. Nothing stands out as looking weak and that just adds to the believability.

100% agreed on both accounts. I've certainly never seen a game look closer to its concept art. Their ability to reproduce their artistic concepts with 3d renders is totally unprecedented. Couple this with the uniform asset quality that eliminates immersion breaking imperfections and you get something completely unrivaled.

These are really good graphics. Too bad I'm not looking for good graphics. Will wait for GAF's impressions for this one.

Look at the womans clothing in the gif with Lafayette even the detail on npcs is amazing.

I agree. That's one thing that stood out to me in the Uncharted 4 footage. Nate's model is the best I've ever seen in a game but the enemies were clearly of a lower quality. Obviously that's to be expected but it's certainly appreciated when everything is so consistent.

There's a great deal of gameplay in them. For some reason with this game, some have formed new standards whereby exploration no longer constitutes as 'gameplay'.
I don't think a few 2-3 second clips of walking with no context count as "exploration".

Good exploration requires interesting and complex level design to walk around, which can't be shown in short clips like the ones in these trailers.

Having that debate right now in the 60fps thread, I just cannot get behind that. I still think Nate's model is amazing but he strikes me as an amazing video game model. The characters in the Order feel more natural to my eye.

I could agree with that but I do think Naughty Dog is in a whole different league with facial animations. Facial animation is the only thing I've seen so far in The Order that looks a bit off to me.

The facial detailing and animation in Uncharted is better, that's ND's strong suit. The characters in The Order though are no slouch by any means, but in terms of model alone Uncharted is a bit ahead. It's the natural lighting and material shading in a highly consistent environment that's why The Order characters look so natural. As it stands now, Nate stands out because of his level of fidelity versus the environment and other characters.

Only thing worrying me right now is someone seems to have the trophy for completeing the game in 4 hours, hopefully just the fastest runthrough on easy though.

This actually makes a lot of sense and actually makes the connection as to why it looks so much more natural. Thanks for that Robo.

Great minds!
Albeit yours was far more eloquent haha
