Wait, what is this about the game being only four hours long? I'm all for short games but that's really short.

4 hours? where the hell did you get that, most reports state at least 8-10 hours.

Nobody would dare make a AAA game 4 hours, it would be suicide.

This is the best looking game I've seen to date. I keep repeating myself, but I absolutely cannot get over how amazing it looks. The soundtrack seems to be quite the treat, too.

PSN profile of someone who has the game now has the gap from the first obtained trophy till the last game completion trophy at 4 and half hours. No trophy for any side stuff.

Realistically, that pegs the game at around 5 hours minimum.

They had to have just sprinted through on easy without looking at anything.

Care to point me to it? Interested in knowing...

Thanks in advance.
I really can't find the article where I read it but I'm pretty sure I read about someone from 343i saying Halo 5 looks better than the order. I did a quick google search and all I saw was a video from Hiphopgamer.

Really wish I had a PS4 available to me again just to appreciate the art in this game.

Yeap. My share button is going to be broken lol. Can't wait to examine and analyse all of the geometry, art, texture, shader work etc. From the exteriors right through to interiors like these.

Eh, games like this can be blitzed through pretty quickly if the aim is fast completion. It's the reality of linear games.

If it's anything like the Uncharted games, it will be between 10-12 hours on first playthrough, 4-8 hours on second playthrough (skip the exploration, skip the cuscenes).

p.s. Skip cutscenes confirmed, lol! :P

Just out of curiosity, would you happen to know what's the fastest completion time for both Uncharted 1 and Gears 1? Just asking since those two games are what The Order is usually compared to.

So, I guess we all agree that The Order right now is top-notch in graphics department, the most beautiful ever created game on PS4. Uncharted 4 seems to be the only contender. I really can't wait until Uncharted 4 come out to see whether or not The Order will be dethroned by Uncharted 4 because holy hell, both game looks really astonishing and gorgeous. But for now, I will give the nod to The Order being the winner. While Uncharted 4 is very impressive, but in fact, it does look like a video game, which is already pointed out by people above. The Order, on the other hand, has pretty different art direction and use of color imo. It looks identical to a CGI trailer to me and I am thinking the whole time that I am actually playing a movie, not a game. Frankly, I think RaD are doing a good job in creating cinematic feel and look.

But to be honest, when I see these beautiful screenshots, I am both happy and a bit worried. I am happy to see how well RaD are utilizing PS4 to produce such impressive graphics that I've never seen anywhere before. But, if a game made with an engine built completely ground up for PS4 and developed in 5 year long, will there be any room in graphics' improvement for its sequel? Tbh, I think the graphics we are having now is already a little too much for PS4. Building a game with better graphics seems to be very difficult to achieve. So I guess all the improvement will only be some animation additions and some lighting changes, just like Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3's case when the difference in graphics was pretty minimal imo. Thus, maybe only until next gen, we can see another leaf in graphics.

I see "concerned" folks are working their way back into The Order threads...

Nah, I'm totally in the tank for this game. Just alarmed by the four hour reports. Eight to ten hours sounds perfect to me.

Just laughable and crazy how there are actually gamers out there that look to actively deny themselves experiencing this game with all the "oh, I'll pick it up when it's $20 cause I just have too many current gen new IPs to catch up on" and the ol' "I don't like QTE so I'll pick it up next year bargin bin" lol.

Gamers have become so jaded they have stone cold lost their gaddamned minds. Can you only imagine if this game was a multiplatform game coming to Xbox and PC?

I mean LOOOOOOK AT IT! and a gamer that plays TPS will deny their own selves from playing this game just out of spite or butthurt BS? lol wow.

wha..?!.. *insert ultimate facepalm gif here*

How the hell is uncharted 1 able to be beaten in under an hour? That's like a 10 hour game easy.
Uhm, funny how people now conveniently forget how Uncharted 1 had no MP or Co-op and was a 10-12hr cinematic gaming experience with button prompts and QTE when it was being laughed at as a "dude raider lolzsorxx!!!" Uhmm, much like the treatment The Order is getting for the same type of "next gen" experience.

So Uncharted went on to be a Juggernaut franchise that other games ran away from when sequels got released and had great MP & Co-op. Now everyone forgets about the "dude raider" diggs.

Why is The Order getting so much flak for doing what many other successful games has already done? Because some are afraid of it being a massive juggernaught of a franchise and that would give headaches to those that count exclusives cause a The Order: sequel would be a pain in the ass so if they can kill this new IP now then no worries for later.

Really sad how the state of affairs have become in the gaming community. A talented developer studio bringing out a new IP with high quality production and there are those that want to kill it and thereby kill off an incredible studio like RAD.

Those who cry for Factor 5 to create the next Rouge Squadron, where were you when Factor 5 was being hosed unfairly for trying to bring a new gaming experience in year1 of the PS3? Instead of constructive critism, may just hammered F5 cause they built a new IP that was exclusive. Well, that bankrupted them and now we lost an incredible studio and their potential games. WE lost out.

So, are we going to keep making the same mistake? Ofcourse we are. We are gamers. We are the jaded.

The 8 to 10 hours thing means nothing to my own style of play, I'm a big take your time, explore everything, stand and gawp kinda guy. I imagine it'll take me around 6 months given how pretty it is. 8)

absolutely gorgeous game

and those videos show just as much 'gameplay' as what they've shown up to this point. If I hadn't actually seen the shooting previously I would just assume this was a third person adventure game by now.

I was so excited to see this but this is old and not gameplay. Cant wait for the game

This is gameplay. The character is being controlled by someone else and is not a cutscene. Are all the exploration parts of TLOU not gameplay either? The goalpost moving when it comes to gameplay has gotten embarrassing lately.

The gameplay of the Order is simon says and the parts you have to move the stick to get to the meat of the game (QTE) are basically interactive loading screens.

Obviously.

The facial detailing and animation in Uncharted is better, that's ND's strong suit. The characters in The Order though are no slouch by any means, but in terms of model alone Uncharted is a bit ahead. It's the natural lighting and material shading in a highly consistent environment that's why The Order characters look so natural. As it stands now, Nate stands out because of his level of fidelity versus the environment and other characters.

i found the the order's models more complex, their vests are incredible detailed, Nathan not so much, at least for gameplay video released, but we'll see...

Don't forget that the weapon pickup and melee attack button prompts are basically QTE.
