Wow, I would have never noticed that when its the characters turn, it changes its portrait like they are holding their prisoner plate. So cool.
I think its his "gun".
I just noticed the cat used a scimitar in one set of fights, but in that Pyro Jack fight image I put up he has a SLINGSHOT?

Like- surprisingly good.
After working my way through Persona 2, 3 (FES), and 4 in an 8 month span, I was fired up for this- but everything about this trailer just hit me in the right places.
Please, Atlus.... please have a simultaneous/near-simultaneous release among territories this year. :{

Honestly had a bad impression of the MC in the first reveal, but he looks swag as fuck here.
Cat's name is Morgana, probably a female.
I strongly doubt these are the only party members. The intro credits show a fifth character wearing a fox mask that wasn't shown in gameplay.
There are actually 9 words, the 7 sins plus cavum and irritum, also if you look at this:
you see that the cat is everywhere. There are bars for every word. Maybe there are nine different types of persona? Nine Social links? Also the cats are in different positions in some of these.

They aren't faceless, they just don't have eyes, also if you look at the menu with the main character you can see the words "Don't look at me like that", clearly the word that the main protagonist represent is "irritum".
Not too sure about what "cavum" means

No, this just means people will complain about the ps4 version having last gen graphics. They were pressured into making a ps4 version.

Shots of him jumping across chandeliers.
Persona 5 seemingly implements a cover/sneaking system, which lets him cross short distances without being noticed. He also seems to contort into some black shadow as part of the process.
The weapon shop, courtesy of on Iwai Munehisa. A lizard/gecko diamond pattern grows across the screen underneath the fence.
Individual party members. The Phantom has both "Joker" and "The Fool" underneath his name.
The velvet room - a jail cell. The Phantom seems somewhat deranged and/or unhappy about his situation. Note the giant chains.
A closeup of The Phantom, the top half of his face covered in blood in the shape of a masquerade mask. The scene shows him starting to use his persona - blue flames start rising from below him while the blood dissolves. For a quick moment, the flames turn into another mask before consuming his face and slowly spreading across his body.
First... based on the top of this quote, I believe that there might be a possibility that their real world and the underworld has somehow fused together. Leaving the regular humans unaware/clueless of the demons' existence. I deduced that from the waves he leaves while he's traversing the chandeliers and also the fact, that the MC might be fusing with his persona instead of summoning it.
In the second set of images (cover+sneaking)... might have something with the type of quests/missions you will have to do, to uncover infos or save innocent people.
In the third set of images... if I remember correctly, the Joker persona is kinda a a jack of all trades (so it's possible won't be the strongest character of the team, unless his persona evolves and becomes something beyond those limits). So I am not surprised to see that he has another Persona-type attached to him.
In the fourth set of pictures... I am wondering if the guy in the cell is the MC or if it is, in any way possible, Vincent (from Catherine and earlier Persona games). If it is Vincent, will it be our task to uncover the truth about him, to uncover if he is guilty or innocent.
In the last set of images... I see the MC fusing with his Persona. Is there something wrong with the current world? How can such link go beyond the realms pre-established? Does it have anything to do with the premise of the game? I can't wait to see.

Looking really good. Definitely a day 1 purchase for me.
As for the trailer, I liked the music, but I don't think it worked well with what was going on. It seemed more serious with the black and red theme, yet it was anything goes. I do like how all the menus seem to have a stylish transition.
