I wouldn't mind a smaller cast because they never properly use a large cast in gameplay. I wish an RPGS that has like 7 characters but only lets you use 3 or 5 would have a final boss where all 7 fought because the boss was designed in a way to be so challenging that all 7 were needed.
The game is initially a PS3 game, I see no reason for it to not look stellar.Wow, that looks amazing.o.o I hope the PS3 version doesn't suffer, cause I probably won't get the PS4 anytime soon. So it a RPG/stealth game now, and it looks like the characters will turn into the personas or least has some form?
Oh yes, I just hope some kind of variant since, like I said before, the Press Turn has the great advantage to speed battle so much if you are prepared with the right Personae BUT I was kiiiiind of getting bored with it.True but Boosting came from Etrian Odyssey right? I think the press turn system will be back in some form.
What are you waiting? You are in for a treat =DSweet!! I have SMT IV on 3DS but haven't played it yet (and I loved Persona 4 Golden on Vita). Still stuck playing Pokemon Sapphire.![]()
A part of me really wants to, because I've matured a bit with all the other SMT games in the last few years, but I have also spoiled myself the ending for DDS and feel somewhat less inclined to try it again now
But still, I think the majority of Atlus fans think DDS is way harder than any other Persona game ...

I had somehow missed the news that this was a confirmed 2015 release in the US. What glorious news. Looks fantastic.
Wow very impressed and excited to play this...in 2016? :/
I feel like the game would have been better without Youske and Teddie.
I was hoping for fresh, and that was definitely acceptably fresh. I hate stealth stuff, though, so that might bring it down for me. Still, looking good so far.

I think its actually confirmed that the English version comes out this yearSo........ what are the odds we'll be getting an English release this year ?
Persona is nowhere near as swanky as it visually looks like. Gameplay and plot wise you're looking at pretty traditional stuff.I kind of want to give this one a go as my first Persona game, but I don't know...the series seems like it might be too out there for me. lol
Wait what? Source please. It should be in the OP and the thread title.
To be honest I played it right after Nocturne, which is notoriously hard. So I might've been way overcautious during DDS1 and got a warped my sense of difficulty. It's kind of a pointless debate anyways, they're all awesome and very enjoyable games, regardless of respective difficulty.
I haven't played any Persona games so I wouldn't know unfortunately. Batcat just seemed out of nowhere, which isn't a bad thing necessarily since I'm quite accustomed to Randall Keith Orton. I'm in a horror mood these days, so I hope they do a good job of integrating some creepy aspects into this game. A lot of talk of demons in this thread so I imagine that shouldn't be too much of an issue.A cat has to be the mascot of this game. They are cat-burglars!
We had a dog and a stuffed animal bear in the last games. It isn't that weird lol.
With how long this game has been in development at least slightly? You think they have time to greatly enhance the PS4 version?
I mean I hope so, but I don't think so. To me, a nice 60fps @ 1080p would be enough for me... but I'll settle for locked 30fps with no drops and 1080p
LOL XDEven Persona has heists before GTAV.
But Pokeeman!!SMTIV is amazing. What are you waiting for?![]()
It's been announced as a 2015 release in NA since February 2014. This is extremely old.
http://atlus.com/persona5/
Who knows if that will hold in reality, however.
*AtlasI watched the trailer again and the call of duty ad said "I hate the Atlus Corporation"...lol

I would be very very disappointed.

This game's trailer kind of reminds me of the cancelled Black Tusk game in a very superficial way. The debut trailer of that a couple years ago also had a bit of a stylised look if i remember right, and it was supposedly about heists. I'd like more games along these lines.
Didnt the director say that the Main cast is nearly batshit crazy?
This year, if you're not in Europe.
I guess we already know this, but this puts the nail in the coffin of a female protagonist?
You know what's much more annoying than someone going into a thread and saying "this sucks!" without expanding on why? People who endlessly quote the post and replying with their entire collection of gif meme replies which have all been run into the ground years ago.
Technically P3-P4 have "stealth" too, and if I'm gonna guessing despite with these flashy animation the emphasis on that element itself would be as basic as those previous game.
Wasn't this game at one point a "Winter 2014" release? I'm skeptic of a NA release in 2015, but Japan should definitely be hitting this year.I think its actually confirmed that the English version comes out this year
I think we'll have it late this year
It was re-affirmed (?) somewhat recently.
Inafune is a businessman who cares about sales. In that sense, he wasn't wrong. Still isn't. At least, in his mind. Remember, he came from Capcom.
