Persona 5 New Trailer

Oh man, this trailer had everything I realistically wanted out of P5 and then some. The more elaborate dungeons, the dynamic exploration, the classic Megaten enemies instead of generic Shadows, the Catherine artstyle, the music, the masked thief stuff... The MC has really grown on me since his initial reveal.

Is there a high quality download link for the trailer?

I dunno man, not sure the audience that bought 18 million PS4s because of Destiny tie-ins and GTA bundles has much interest in Persona.
 
I wonder what we should expect in terms of the amount of VO for dialogue. Similar to P3/P4 or fully voiced for the main characters or fully voiced for Social Links or whatever might be replacing them.

I dunno man, not sure the audience that bought 18 million PS4s because of Destiny tie-ins and GTA bundles has much interest in Persona.

I wouldn't be surprised to see P5 do 1m in the west LTD across both platforms. I think the audience has expanded a ton from P3 and P4, and most JRPG fans probably own a PS3 or PS4 and are hungry for a JRPG that is good.

That doesn't make much sense. So you're saying that Persona 5 would perform just as well, sales-wise, in North America if it were only on the PlayStation 3 and wasn't a PlayStation 4 game? That's just wrong.

Comparing Persona to Destiny, GTA, or Call of Duty is completely pointless. Persona is its own thing, and it's clear that the notoriety of that thing has been growing over all the years where it hasn't had a mainline release, to culminate into what will be Persona 5's reception.

GG Xrd ... Naruto IQ lacks of a lot of things compare to P5 or GG Xrd which is the reference, period.

I like what I saw, P-Studio staff is on fire and I glad they do well, I would love a PC release but PS3/PS4 is good enough until the Vita version (onegai!!!!)
 
I'm really happy that they're going in a noticeably different direction with this game instead of just doing Persona 3 a third time.

I really hope this trend holds up for Persona 6.

Please release relatively close to five and not too many years apart.

Not totally true. Give this game the Final Fantasy 7 marketing from Sony and it will be just as big.

It already trended on worldwide Twitter big time.
 
I just saw the trailer.

I'm more hype for P5 than FFXV. Please tell me I'm not alone in this.

Wow. That video was really impressive. They really upped the graphics, style, gameplay, everything. This looks like it will be a really cool game.

My only concern about Persona games is that the dungeons get really repetitive. I hope they spice it up a little bit this time. I think they will, judging by the trailer.

No, I just doubt that the PS4 version will result in a massive boost for the game's total sales despite the console's success, because there doesn't seem to be a lot of overlap between the PS4's current userbase and the Persona fanbase.

That being said, I think P5 could attract a fair bit of new fans among people who typically aren't interested in JRPGs, and that the PS4 version would make it a lot easier for them to jump in. As a location, Tokyo has much better mass appeal than Iwatodai or Inaba, there are guns and cover mechanics, and heists are a more exciting story element than a weird tower that appears at midnight or a murder mystery in the countryside.

Not happening anytime soon. SEGA has no control over Atlus' business and going by the rumor, it seems SCE has or are helping (either financially or technically) the Persona Team (and possibly Atlus too for the marketing) to get this game made. Also, take into account that the Persona Team are console-exclusive development studio. We are not talking about Square, SEGA or Capcom here.

As I posted in the community thread... Atlus PR called the café meet-up point a few days ago lol. (Though it's likely not right off Shibuya crossing or it'd be more crowded.)
