I only ordered from them yesterday, so I don't expect delivery to be anywhere near as prompt. Would abso-bloody-lutely love to have it on next Monday though, as my family is away for a couple of days and I'll have two nights to binge on gaming while eating pizza.

I cancelled my order there :p I called them to ask, and it hasn't shipped yet, and if it hasn't shipped then I'l keep the money and buy it launch day.

Looks like I won't be getting my New 3ds this weekend! Rakuten is still saying "Awaiting Shipment" of the new 3ds and they have already dispatched Majoras Mask to me. So annoying that I'll have a 3ds game but not the system haha. :(

Are Amazon.fr price-matching another French retailer with their discounting of the white N3DS? A 4€ discount, only on the white model, seems like an oddly specific promotion to me.

Think I'll go for the Amazon France deal for the new 3DS. It's about £120 if you pay in GBP or £115 if you pay in EUR on the site. Does anyone know if it's worthwhile to pay the higher amount in GBP if you bank with Natwest? Because of their conversation rate/any fees they have?

The Order 1886 back in stock at SimplyGames Rakuten. So using FEBGIFT10 code you can get it for £36.85. I'm keeping my order with The Game Collection, because why not. It's only £2 difference at the end of the day and I'm hoping I get it a day early lol. But for those that want the cheapest price for the game yet...

http://www.rakuten.co.uk/shop/simplygames/product/20080/

Simply games are usually way early for delivery.

Ive had stuff from them up to 3 days early before.

I got a dispatch email from Rakuten for The Order 1886 from The Game Collection. A mistake possibly?

Yeap. I got a dispatch email for ProjectCars, which isn't out till March the 17th. But reading some of the reviews for the shop, The Game Collection appear to sometimes get games early to people, so I'm hoping that'll be the case with The Order.

Hmm, I just went for the GBP option on MasterCard as I wasn't sure if there would be much difference but £5 is a decent difference actually.

Not sure whether to cancel my order and pay in Euro's instead.

I think it should be possible to change payment options without having to cancel the order.

But yeah, amazon rips you off. Although most creditcard companies will also take a fee in case you pay in a non-local currency, which means you will probably have to pay a bit on top of those 115pounds. For me I think it's 1% of the transaction.

Lucky! In my case it's 2.99% of the value of the transaction and an additional £1, which makes it 6p cheaper than the alternative given the exchange rate at the time of transaction is used. Both around £119.50.

Looks like I can only choose to change my card or add a new one, nothing about changing how to pay with regards to currency. I'll just cancel, I think.

Edit: Done. Cancelled and placed a new order totalling £117 instead of £122. It's not much but any saving is a good saving!

Last page before order until the breakdown. Remember, take in account of your bak foreign currecny transactions fees.

This is pure speculation but I believe SCEE has increased wholesale prices in the UK so that first party games at retail now match PSN prices. This would explain why The Order and Bloodborne are holding at £49.99 at mainstream retailers. Anything priced significantly below that probably came from outside the UK.

From what I can tell, most of the smaller online retailers sell imported copies. It can be very difficult to see the difference but the bar code will be different to a true UK version which can make trade-ins a bit tricky. I've had several in the past. Doesn't stop you selling it on eBay of course.

You guys should try argos, they sell new games here In Ireland for 58 euro for the first week, equal to £42.

They're wanting £50 for The Order, much the same as elsewhere.

I also got a dispatch email from TGC, but I'll be a little more restrained in my expectation just so I don't get too disappointed if it doesn't arrive early. Need to finish Alien Isolation first, and I'd like to be done with Infamous: SS as well.

Gamers: PSN prices are a rip off, they should match retail prices at the very least!
SCEE: Hmm, you're right.

*raises retail prices*

mine was dispatched this morning. I just hope it's an actual UK copy with CN points^^

On 3DS only Nintendo published games will get you Club Nintendo stars, iirc. If this game has them though, it doesn't matter if you get an import, since Club Nintendo codes are the same in all of Europe.

That's not true anymore.

Metal Gear Solid 3D, that I just bought a week ago, had them too.

Some (shady) shops like for example 365games.co.uk are sending out Australian imports and those are incompatible with Club Nintendo Europe.

It seems as if they've stopped surveys for stuff bought from the eShop. It's been a month now and I've still got no option in my account to do a survey for them, to get the 250 points. :I

Sucks. But was it re-shrink-wrapped or just damaged?

I received Spirit Camera yesterday from base.com.

It's shrink-wrapped, but not the typical Nintendo shrink-wrap.

Called Nintendo yesterday, strangely they told me that there may be games published by Nintendo, that are not wrapped using the Nintendo shrink-wrap. Offered me the service to open the game for me. I would have to send it there of course. I'm not sure what to do. It's the second time I received Spirit Camera in non-Nintendo shrink wrap. At least this time it looks better. The last "shrink wrap" looked really amateurish (and it was obviously re-shrink-wrapped because the Club Nintendo code was missing and the case was even damaged inside it).

Just got my Spirit Camera copy from amazon marketplace (advertised as UK copy but is an Austrian/Swiss? copy [country code is STA, no clue what that means, triangle is dark reddish/almost purple] and it's sealed in Nintendo shrink-wrap.

Just so you know this mythical creature exists. :)

Yup, that's the thing I'm worried about. Also, some EU countries don't have Club Nintendo (like Ireland, Scandinavia) and those games don't come with CN codes (hence why some games I bought from TGC long after release came without codes despite being new, sealed copies). Worried Blackgate might be from SCN.

STA = South Africa?

That's a shady shop? Well besides, the PAL/Australia thing (I thought they stated which versions the sell on their page, don't they?), is there anything else wrong with them? I used them a few times in the past and never had a problem, but always wondered why they seldomly get recommended. So I'd like to know if there is a reason to avoid them.

I'm thinking about getting my N3DS off amazon.fr, since shops around here updated their prices to 179€ and I'm not pleased with that. How fast is slow shipping from France to Austria usually, and is there anything to look out for, like problems when sending back damaged goods? I never purchased something off of amazon.fr, only .de and .co.uk.

That's strange though. Aren't games in Australia super expensive, I would have thought they would sell imports because those games are cheaper than UK games.

Ireland doesn't have Club Nintendo? Are you sure? I remember Ireland being mentioned on my Club Nintendo cards (yes, I actually read those once, lol)
Anyway, strange they would send games from Scandinavia since those are more expensive than in the UK. oO

STA = South Africa?

Nope, there is a German subtitle. ;)

Ireland was a guess because I don't know what market the "UXP" code represents. My Darksiders 2 copy from TGC is the one I'm referring to specifically. TSA-WUP-AD2P-UXP. "Not for sale in the UK, Australia or New Zealand"

Yeah,

I sort of missed the German subtitle. :-)

So SwiTzerland - Austria...?

Well that was my guess. No clue what else it could be and it fits because it happens to not include a Club Nintendo code (game is from 2012, both AT and CH got Club Nintendo only just in 2013).

edit: I just remembered that I owned a German copy before I bought this one for cheap. It also didn't come with a CN code. I took advantage of that 20EUR deal amazon.de had a few weeks after Wii U launched. So there is definitely something weird with this particular game and CN. Despite the website saying it can be registered on CN.

That's a shady shop? Well besides, the PAL/Australia thing (I thought they stated which versions the sell on their page, don't they?), is there anything else wrong with them?

- Australian cases are worse (they use the same crappy case like in US, those Eco-cases and it's easy for the cover to get damaged because of those - I had to replace the case of my Wonderful 101 copy because of it).
- Club Nintendo code obviously won't work
- and sometimes there are differences in the manual (sometimes manuals are multilingual in Europe)
- if you want to sell them, they will get you less on ebay

And no, they don't say what version they are selling. That's my problem with it. They are in fact even putting their own logo over the age logo on the cover. Even asking their "support" won't give you results (they will neither deny or confirm it, but instead dance around that matter) and when you contact them after you receive the item, they will simply ignore you.

If they were open like for example coolshop, then that'd be okay.

It's like ordering from amazon.co.uk and then receiving a danish version of a game. If it's mentioned, then that's fine. But it's not fine to not mention it at all, send around imports and then even ignore customers, that want to send it back.

Normally takes 2 or 3 days. Not sure about returns.

Depends on the game.
Some games got limited prints in UK and are rare because of that. Which then results in Australian copies effectively being less expensive. Sometimes a game simply doesn't sell well in Australia, which then makes those copies less expensive and so on.

Nooooo. Nintendo contacted me today asking for proof of purchase. So hopefully they will send me a code without me having to return the 2nd copy. It really sucks. Which seller did you get it from?

Do they ship to Sweden?

If not what is the cheapest place that will ship this to Sweden?

From the Rakuten page
Note, orders will be charged at time of order and you may receive a despatch notification email. Please ignore the email as your game will usually be despatched 2-3 days before release.

Haha, so they're literally just pretending to dispatch stuff so that they can charge you early? What a scam!

NIPPON YASSIN IS BACK! WII U PROC ONTROLLER!

EDIT: Damn, price has gone up!

That's quite a hike! Rakuten is definitely the best bet while that voucher is active. My controller arrived yesterday, it's super-nice. I hate the gamepad so it's really cool to actually be able to enjoy playing stuff on Wii U now.

Hi,

Can anybody tell me whether it is safe to preorder from Wowhd in Ireland.

Do they deliver in a reasonable time frame?

I ordered from them years ago and the game they sent never turned up, had to wait 5 months for a refund!

Have things changed?
